Whats the name of the episode?

I just saw it and had to come search to see if anyone else caught that.

The active ingredient in his "good news herbal supplement" only grows on Omicron Persei 8. Professor says it is a serious herb, and Hermes calls it the Omi-Chronic.

Do you have any input on shatter in a 1.5 vs 2.4 cart or is it basically hot hot and fast you want your clouds?

Always load .5g, when you have used approximately. 3g, reload .3g again(some will add another.5g, bringing the total load to.7g) I never load a full gram anymore, this has solved most of my cart problems.

OK, I can certify the 1701 cart is not really leakproof, at least not this one. I just decided to weigh the cart to see how much is left (a bit over .25 grams). It's going great. But I decided that since I just got the replacement top for my Persei I'd shift it back and weigh it in the process. That's when I noticed the top of the socket was sticky and there was now a bit of oil on the threads. The socket itself was clean inside (a big plus IMO) and the cart draws normally. It was easy to clean up, but there can be no mistake that a bit of oil came out the vents.

When things calm down later on I'll press on, I figure sooner or later it's got to start to drop off production, looking into the tank it's been dry for a while now.....

I'm already thinking of what goes in next. If DubC is going to go heavy from mid weight CO2 oils, I'll go lighter I guess, not that I have too many to try.....

But anyway, a minor leak, nothing to get upset about IMO.

What state was it in when it has some pg in the threads?

How hot was it in the room?, was it on its side? was it used earlier? how was it used earlier?

You can actually find it for $30/half gr. Doesn't seem too bad considering the consistent quality. I think you can even find it cheaper if you catch a sale or special discount. Don't really like it so I typically don't look for it.

Lots of good waxes around here, i love my crumbles.
But the demand for PG type oils is low, I know one person who makes something like it...and ive sampled it. it was quite good, but i prefer my crumbly blonde bho.

And for $35/gr. it's not a bad deal ;)

It was not PG, it was medium weight CO2 oil. Used moderately but with the Nibbler and left standing up from a few hits in the morning. Noting radical or different than before really. A pull or two of cold air after the last hit, the body of the cart 'warm but not hot' (yes I check....). Warm here today, the room was 'mid 80s'.

Once cleaned up, it hasn't leaked again.

Watching carefully I note it 'surges' in level sometimes, quite noticeably, over a few seconds time frame. My guess is the feed is pulsing for some reason (perhaps pressure build up locally?). I may have shut down just as it was surging?

No big deal to an Omicron owner......

I'm not sure I'd use that term. It's a material, it has no intelligence really. And price is kind of abstract. If, as I take the intended meaning to be, you mean 'paying that much is a retarded thing to do', I take exception to that. Some of us who buy the stuff after due consideration are IMO exercising reasonable discretion and I would not consider calling them or their decision retarded (being one of them....).

If your friend is making a similar solvent extracted stuff, good for him, but that's all it is. Similar. Until you've actually tried the genuine stuff you're really only guessing, right?

Then again, tastes vary. Some of us want only fully tested concentrates, and ISO and Butane free if we can get them. When I can find it, I'd rather have CO2, N2 or other gas extracted stuff generally, even if it's well tested and proven properly purged. Just less chance of contamination IMO.

Ok thanks for the feedback.

you said the unit had .3 in it?

Let me know if it leaks again.

Im wondering you mentioned that you take the nimbler off a few times while vaping and then inserting it back. Im thinking this pushes liquid down into the air portals. What are your thoughts on that?

Actually .26 IIRC.

I usually don't take it all the way off, I slide it up enough so I can get a finger on the bottom inch or so of the cart usually, and I'm pretty gentle with it largely for that reason. And it tends to be the end of a session, I want to be sure it's cooled off. I'm thinking maybe it was some condensate in the flue? Or like I said, it seems to surge, perhaps because pressure builds locally somehow without the upper heater keeping it open? That is above the heater station is plugged with firm concentrate so pressure pushes the liquid towards the heater where it gets 'pushed back' by increased vapor production?

If this is as bad as it get it's just fine IMO.

I am curious if the leakiness continues or is transient. It seems with the current carts once a leak begins it will just get worse even if "babied". At least that has been my experience.

Ya , agree .
Once a leak occurs , it's impossible to stop . ime

Idk what you mean by ' babying ' the cart tho ?
Can you explain plz ?

For sure I'm curious about this as well, it's important. I think G is interested as well. I've got a bit more on the issue to report after last night, but let's do the good part first? The 'surging' I was seeing seems to be related to fill level. I decided to test the idea that it had only cropped up when the cart got down under .3 grams and added .37 to the .23 still left. Bringing the total fill up to .60 grams. I noted that while the tank was 'empty' (and had been for a bit) the taste changed (new strain, thinner CO2 oil) almost immediately as the surging disappeared. Production went back to 'normal' It's worth noting that at peaks the surge produced more volume of vapor than this steady state.

All seemed normal when I up it up. It was 'stone cold' when I weighed it and found I'd used about .030 grams in the last session IIRC.

This morning it had leaked even more than before, and there was oil at the ports still. Not as easy to clean as before 9more goo) but the cart was still plugged and wouldn't draw. Rather than try to fish out the flue I decided to do a field clearance drill on it and see if a bit of heat would clear it. While pulling on it firmly I hit the button for a second with no results. A second hit brought a little puff of vapor out one of the ports but still no draw. A third one second button press again brought a bit of vapor but no clear air path. But then I watched in horror as it pumped a big fat drop of oil out the other port. Modest horror, but scary as I watched it happen and was helpless. It did it all on it's own, a few seconds after the third one second power pulse. It seems apparent to me that the flue was plugged above the heater and there was only one way out for the collected liquid when the pressure started to build in the vaporizing chamber, pumping the oil out the ports!

Having it drain down slowly over night is one thing, but watching it flow out the ports in front of your lying eyes is worse IMO.

Not having it surging last night was nice, but hopefully this leaking bit will end and end quickly. This pumping it out as you watch is not an improvement most will welcome IMO.

My plan for the future now includes refills at the .30 left point to control the surging for now. If that experience (running low) is what's led to leaking we're in big trouble as guys are going to run it down all the time. A simple refill has to fix all ills there IMO.

This is not yet with PG. The oil I'm using is similar in viscosity (it will flow down to the bottom of the jar overnight on it's own), but it's still thicker and a CO2 oil (I'm told), darker and more complex than PG.....cheaper too.

Hey guys,

Im an experience omicron user and have filled tons of carts. I pre weigh them and weigh them after i fill and rarely lose any concentrate. I have a problem where my carts seem to give much smaller hits once i've gone about halfway throught he concentrate. I only have this problem with the 2.4's and don't have the problem with the 1.5's. I know the 2.4's are what are suggested by G and delta 9 so that's what i've been using for the past year. I've only tried one 1.5 and didn't have this problem, although it was much more prone to clogs. However, i've found that clearing the clogs in the 1.5 is easier for me than trying to get the 2.4's to hit when they aren't delivering much vapor.

Also, i should add that i know it's not a battery or omicron top problem because when i put in my ce4 with puregold and the adapter it hits just fine and delivers large clouds.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to reheat the cart witha lighter or torch or anything until i get a response as i don't want to lose my expensive oil.

Thanks in advance for any help you can suggest

Is this all with the same concentrate? Does it pass the foil test easily?

I typically get 3 or 4 refills (two grams plus total) before I notice production start to taper off from contamination build up on the heater. Some strains are faster than others. Most as similar in their foil test performance (very slight deposit left).

I find 1.5s harder to control well, but tending to foul out at about the same point in time (around the third gram there's starting to slow a bit).
