That's what I was concerned about. The hand held wand has a lip.. that is made to effectivly "surround" the HC tip.
I have a feeling you are right!

The smaller hole on the Standard HC, causes a faster draw through that small opening of heated air.
The physics makes the ratio of air force faster to to restriced opening.
I am not sure how the standard wand would fit into a Sherical HC.. look at some images first, and ask Chris at 7th floor how he thinks it would work.
No use experimenting with this type of purchase when we have him in this forum as a resource!

It might work, but I have a feeling it wont provide a good seal.

And an even worse walrus.

My room ate decided it would be a good idea this morning to use the vape while I was in the shower. I wouldn't have cared, had she not broken the heater cover. Are there any advantages to a spherical glass connection over the straight ground glass that I already own?

Less chance of breakage as its only matched to the HC when you are using it. Similar to my OG connection - no chance of it getting yanked out.

Whichever way you go, make sure to get appropriate wand!

For the way I use my SSV, I think I may have the ultimate idea for a wand and water adapter. I sit very close to my Standard HC SSV and have 4 inches of tubing going from my wand to the 18mm gong of my bong.

I would love to get rid of that 4 inches of tubing. My idea for the ultimate wand, is to have a Standard HC Wand on one end and a Spherical GG male on the other. Then Have a water adapter with a spherical gg female that's angled 90 degrees from the 18mm Gong Adapter. With the spherical gg connection, I'm hoping I'll be able to rotate the wand. I know a local glassblower that I'd like to make this but he has been hard to get a hold of.

I am putting this in the SSV thread.. It could go in the DBV thread.. or the LSV thread... but I am comfy here in this thread.
It is about the Vapor Tamer.
All I know is it was 110 at my place today. I stayed cool and collected all day long thanks to this Vapor Tamer.
I will say that it is very versatile, and even if you don't own a Vape from 7th Floor, you can find a way to use this versatile "chiller" with many vapes.
I even used it with my MyrtleZap!

Yes.. the icicles were my own touch, but that is how I felt.. and my glasses.. was the fogging real? I'll never tell!

Vito, thanks for your Vapor Tamer assessment. I'm gonna order one as soon as I get caught up financially after my 4th of July vacation... I'll bet combusting through it might not be bad either. huh?

There would be a different type of resin to cleanup, but I think if you like to combust, it woould feel pretty damn good! :)

Thats a thought Vitolo have you had any problems cleaning it? Does it need cleaning after each use and how would you actualy go about cleaning it? Is a good iso soaking enough?

Since it's cold I could reasonably assume that resin would build up on it slightly faster than if it were room temperature. I would also think that cleaning would be pretty simple since its just glass. Your preferred glass cleaning method should work fine, provided you exercise caution, as always.

It is very easy to clean. I turn on the hot water at the tap.
I clean my "Tamer' after each full session.
(I prefer to not put an unclean tool in the freezer)
I squirt 91% Iso in one end, and I turn the tube this way and that until alcholo has been throughout the tube.
I follow with hot water until it runs through.
I squirt in dish soap.. I turn it this way and that and shake. I run hot water forcefully through it.. Blow it out.. then I hold one end, at the Shop vac for ten seconds, repeat in other direction, and it is like new.
The whole thing takes about 60 seconds.
The Vaper Tamer is thick glass and very sturdy. It is one of those products many people don't focus on at the website, but has numerous uses.

18, with a very good "slope" easily adaptable!
One thing I should mention.. In that video, I put my red retention clip on the Vaper Tamer, prior to putting on the mouthpiece. I did this so you would hear the "click".. but I MUST make this correction.
That is not a good practice. One should place the mouthpiece on the Tamer (or any other GonG connection) and then place the retention clip on. This will extend the life of your Ground Glass connection!

Vitolo you say you use hot water a lot on the vapor tamer but on the website it says NOT to use hot water because of something having to do with the glycerin.

Im wondering if I can connect it to my bong? Put the vapor tamer in the joint on the bong, then the tubing on the other end which goes to the wand. Would that even work?

I am cautious, and follow protocol. The warning reads:
*Warning: The Vapor Tamer should not be subject to higher than 95 F when cleaning to avoid super heating.
I am not letting the Tamer get hot throughout. I am running a rinse of hot water through once.. as I said,
"I follow with hot water until it runs through"... and then I "blow it through".
In this way the water passes through once, and I am not allowing superheating, which would involve steady use of heated water and or immersion.
Hopefully all users will bear these precautions in mind, and follow manufacturers recommendations.
Remember that I said... my entire procedure... alcohol, hot water exposure, and the shop vac.. all are done within 60 seconds!

Yes, the connections allow you to use it that way if you wanted to.
With a small amount of innovation, and a connector or two there are MANY potentials.
(The SSV waterpipe adapter easily fots in the top of the Vaper Tamer, after the Tamer is inserted into the Bong.. the adapter then goes to the tubing!)

has anyone hooked the vapor tamer up with a water attachment? Its pretty cheap but not sure what parts id need...kinda cool idea :)

it would need tubing between the two spots since my glass wont support the weight...

glance at post above yours. those are the parts!
You can stabilize the weight of the tamer with the same hand that holds the bong!

Hmmm.. I already have the GonG adapters. I usually use the water filter from 7th floor. But I got a bong I might try this with. Although I guess I could use the little water filter, might look awkward though.
