Which bong should I buy?

That guy has fantastic teeth.

What the heck happened? I thought there was a whole bunch of posts about me finally buying a bong. It was called Climax A blaze. Was I just tweeking stoned out of my mind or what?

I think a mod must have come in and removed those posts...

IMHO you dodged a bullet there, that Blaze bong looks like a piece of crap. A big heavy piece of crap I'll grant you that. I guess the old expression is wrong and you can polish a turd after all. You saw that big dude in the video that was posted had to suck quite hard so I'm guessing if your girlfriend doesn't smoke bongs she'd probably struggle with it. It looked like it had more drag than "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert". I wouldn't be swayed by that video either as if you check out all that guy's videos they are all reviewing Black Leaf/Blaze stuff and he always gives them suspiciously high marks. Seems somewhat biased to me.

I personally believe you'd get better percolation from the double honeycomb I showed you before, you'd certainly get less drag and better build quality. It's still got the option of ice so you'd be able to cool the vapor down even further. Plus if you asked Andy at Colie Glass really nicely he might even throw you one of those sweet HerbalAire GonG adapters that I linked a picture of in my earlier post. I don't mean to keep going on but if you just saved up just a little extra then you could get a much superior piece. Just send him a PM and ask him how much shipping would be for it to get to you, there's no harm in asking.

Aren't your points 2 and 3 contradictory? Just pulling from a heavily resinated bong alone will taste much worse than taking a dry vapor hit imo.
But she seems to dislike the actual flavor, not the resin taste if I get it right... Most people have it backwards.

Ok is everyone trying to confuse me on purpose? I mean come on. I come here asking the experts for advice. Then when someone does give me advice to buy a bong, a blaz climax a. And that someone also posts a video of someones review and tells me that I can get it for a good cheap price, and that this bong will difuse very well because of the diffusion stuff in it, and that it is not bad like the Chinese ones because it is one of the better made ones and that it is 7mm thick, I think I found everything that I am looking for.

Then everything comes undone. And people are telling me that the review meant nothing on youtube because the bongs that are reviewed are usually with high reviews and are of that one brand. And also that I got lucky not buying it just yet because apparently that bong is a piece of crap as a forumer said.

So who here is really the expert? Who really knows what they are talking about? And who am I supposed to believe when it comes to this? What is the REAL good deal and who really knows what they are talking about? Sorry for me attitude but you can see why this is so confusing, having two people say they know a little something if not more than nothing about bongs. And one person says that one bong is everything I am looking for. And the other person saying that that EXACT bong that is supposedly good. Is actually a and I quote, a piece of crap?

Thanks tweak. But honestly. What really sucks is not that there is controversy or disagreement. It is something else. It is that I really was convinced and had my heart set on that one climax a bong, and the search was finally over. And now it isn't. I really fell in love with that bong. And I most likely will still buy it. But now even if. Even if I do I will always be wondering if I made a mistake now that I am stuck with this doubtfulness that only started because a person who also knows a lot about bongs says not only is it not the best of the best like someone made it appear, but also that it is so bad that it is a piece of crap, so it might just be one of the worst ones out there based on that comment. And thats what bites.

Sorry man, I didn't mean to harsh your buzz. I'm just very opinionated, the best thing you can do is buy something you really want as at the end of the day what other people say are just opinions. I'm sure you could do a lot worse than the one you picked but I just personally feel that the piece I recommended will give you maximum percolation with minimum drag and having the option of ice should help smooth the vapor to near tastelessness. Colie's build quality is also very good from what I've seen of their pieces.

I honestly didn't mean to throw a spanner in the works, I just felt that after he'd warned you off of cheap import glass and then he told you to buy some off of him it seemed a bit suspicious. I am in no way affiliated with Colie Glass, admittedly I consider Andy a friend as we've exchanged many messages over the past few months but a lot of that is because we have similar tastes in other areas and I enjoy a good chat about bongs.

I honestly believe he'd be able to give you a good deal as he and JhanPixel both make good quality functional glass but Jhan's stuff seems a little out of your price range if you want the level of percolation you are looking for. If you wanted something with a lot of style and didn't mind paying extra then I'd recommend Leviathan stuff as well but because of the size of piece that you're looking for and your budget it kind of rules them out.

I hate to think I've caused you upset as that was never my intention. I'd just like to say that I'd personally feel safer with 5mm of Schott glass than with 7mm of no name Chinese glass. Also if your worried about dropping it then the weight of all that glass might actually make the piece more likely to be damaged, especially when considering that many of the cheaper beaker designs actually thin out the glass at the bottom when they blow out the glass too make the beaker shape.

So it is true? At first when one person called it a piece of crap that was bringing doubt to me. But now that two people think it was a bad investment well that really says a lot. I tried to pm The herbal review but for some reason it did not have the start conversation option on his username. Does anyone know how I can get a hold of him so that I could at least hear his reply or get him to pm me? It's like he disappeared. I thought Blaze climax it was the bees knees. The way THR made it sound like it was perfect.

I do care a little about drag. Well a lot really. But style and dropping it mean nothing to me.

I am very careful. I know people say you never know and better safe then sorry. But I promise you I am extremely careful with everything in life.

This is all very confusing. Especially when THR seems to have left the building with me hanging. Is it true what he said though about the price? Even if I did. Pay what he was asking is it really worth like double or whatever he was making it seem in the posts that are now deleted?

It's unfortunate that the Mod had to delete my post for the sake of continuity. I can totally understand why because it was in direct reply to Herbal's post that was deleted and it just wouldn't make much sense after his was gone.

It basically said that the bong he told you was worth $300 is sold at blackleaf.de for $210+shipping as you can see here. So as you'll notice he was certainly exaggerating somewhat, especially when you factor in that if something is used then it is devalued. So I'd say $130 is probably a fair price in that respect if you really wanted the piece but certainly not the deal he was making out.

Once again I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings trying to warn you off that piece but you did ask for advice with this thread. I guess I came on a bit strong but I was just trying to make my point as I feel a nice piece of Schott glass will last you much longer. Also if you ever fancy a change then you'll find it a lot easier to sell on this Forum or anywhere else as it will retain it's value much better than the mass manufactured Chinese stuff and probably have a much higher desirability.

I can't seem to contact Herbal either as the start conversation button is also missing for me when clicking on his name. It's just a guess but he might have been banned because of what he did. I think trying to sell your own stuff in the threads is against the rules so I'm fairly sure he broke that one but a first infringement normally just incurs a warning. He might have broken the rules before or maybe the powers that be felt it was such a flagrant disregard that he needed a temporary or permanent ban. This is all however supposition and you'd have to ask a Mod to find out what really happened.

I love when they add the tags to the listing to get hits! It is a nice piece though.

The more I poke about, the more affordable quality glass I see out there...don't make it a stressful thing Driscoll...it should be fun!

People have different opinions. That's the way it is. You asked for 'em and you got 'em. It's your job to use what's offered however you want in order to make a decision, whether it's buying what someone suggests, or just using the data/opinions you get in order to help you narrow your selections down. But don't start a 'help me please' thread and then complain about getting conflicting opinions. Take what's offered and be glad you're getting assistance from helpful members.

I thought i'd chime in as well.
OP - the 3 tubes you posted where all percs w. multi chambers - seems like you want a large pc with lots of diffusion

keeping that in mind I would go with a honeycomb disc or a frit disc tube

they are usually shorter ( so they won't tip over as easily )
and the out diffuse tree/dome percs by far
there are less seals so they won't break as easily
and with all the new discs coming from overseas they are around the same price as a tree perc these days.


If you can afford it I would go w. a fritted disc tube - I believe a seller here on the forum has one available for a reasonable price and you would be the envy of all your frends

I have cut out all bongs I originally listed.
