Hello fellow Vape Virgin. I was in your same shoes I started an in depth thread at http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/please-help-decide-vaporizer.9858/

I notice that you seem to be pushing towards a portable device. I've never used a vaporizer before other than E-cigs. But based on my in depth research of over 20 models, (some on the thread) I narrowed it down and down and down until I made it into a decided list where every model, competes against each other. And in the end. I made a ranking list that shows based mostly on extracting non wasting efficiency, which vapes are the best. Now this list is not perfect, and it could have a mistake in the ranking between the vape devices. But it is very very thorough. And very researched and for the most part I believe accurate.

Not trying to hijack your thread. But I see your in my shoes so I thought I should at least share with you all the research I have gathered before you spend money.

I would like to note that if portability is the name of your game, that I found it on my list that the solo portable is the highest ranking portable there is and it seems cheap.

One more notion I learned was that size matters (that's what she said). Desktops although are bigger than portables are also generally considered more effective.

However the solo seems to even be rated to out perform most of the best desktops.

I hope this helped.

Anyone here have much input on the thermovape t1?

I looked at the product you mentioned I still think I would prefer a pax or ascent just because of the quick use loading bowls and ease

Oh no worries thanks for the input ill check out the link

I like the solo and all just not what I'm looking for because it's not exactly put in the pocket and go.. That's what I need I wish you can use it without the glass mouth peice then it would be easier to carry

there is a brand new thread in the portable thread candidates called the Zenpen. it seems to fit what you are looking for but it hasn't even fine into production yet, they say they will be taking our orders through kickstarter very soon. I am a little interested in it personally but an always reluctant about a brand new product especially from an upstart company

Yea but I think it's a oil pen only

I was close to buying an atmos raw as that was the first portable "vape" after realizing it doesn't lol I would still like to get one as a em electric pipe

I have still narrowed it between a pax ascent or a thermovape t1

I like that they all look easy to load and quick to use and not many parts.

actually it isn't, that's what attracted me to it, it is the first real herb pen

Ah man it looks fairly cool, but ya new company and hmmm would be cool of it had glass wouldn't that make it smoother

I just checked the thread man it looks really sleek and 4hour battery life plus it's hybrid of conduction and convection so that makes it pro right?

Just a bit curious of how smooth the hits will be and how hot the mouth piece will get

agreed, it's always a shot in the dark with a brand new unit, especially first if it's kind

Hey guys I read so many different posts and reviews regarding many models and I have narrowed it down to these three because of their size and sleekness.

I never vaped before but I want to get one for when I'm out and about.

I narrowed it to the Pax, inhalator Xp and the new ascent.

My main concern is stealth, sleekness and of course good vapour.

Will the high be different between models or do they all get you just as baked?

Regarding the pax being conduction does that also mean it will smell more and use up herb more?

Thanks

From what I have gathered from my research of Vaporizer devices lately, those are all good choices, but not great. If you must choose 1 of those 3 I would recommend the PAX for its sleekness. They will all get you just as baked for the most part. The PAX is relying on dry herbs, so don't expect odorless from this device. Wont necessarily smell more. Get about 10-20 draws depending on the size of pack. I personally would recommend the Micro G or G Pen from Grenco Science, which excels in all areas (stealth, sleekness, strong vapor draws). The pen is discreet and can be passed as an e-cig or hookah pen. Apparently in the coming months G Pen will release a perfected dry herb attachment.

I will take a look at the g pen the thing is I am using it for herbs and hash I never tried oils

So the g pen is oil only but has a dry herb attachment coming out?

The G Pen vaporizes hash and wax beautifully to be honest. Strong draw too. This is what I have heard.

The solo would be the most diverse and best option imo, except it fails in pocket portability and stealth. However, the current price point basically overruled that for me, considering its reputation.

With that said, I think you would be happiest with the XP or wait for the Ascent. You haven't mentioned much about the XP, so I'd like to nudge you in that direction...seems to meet all your needs and it's already out.
