I've been using the hell out of my PA with my concentrates too. Is it too much for the PA to handle to be using concentrates at high power all the time? I know it's ruining my maple box. :(

Unknown at this time. I was running mine full tilt and noticed the light flickering. Testing it under load showed it was intermittent. I've been playing cat & mouse with the email tech support (unknown issues....would not blame MF) for a month now trying to get fixed. Wasn't an issue until I got my concentrate tray issue sorted (another kudo for MF) and started using it again...now its completely died.

I would be willing to bet the parts have not changed as most of us are familiar with MF's attempt to get the best parts for the best price saga....more for fit and form.

Good for warranty support for those who have the v1...and I'll bet they just send warranty replacements the v2 once the initial buying rush is complete (if they haven't already).

I've been vaping solely bubble hash, in my CT's, for over a month. I know it's taking a toll on my maple LB, but I hope it doesn't cause my PA to die.

I had zero issues until I got the concentrate tray, but that could well be that we don't use the PA on full blast with herb....and a creeping failure vs a critical failure on the parts inside is surprising.

Think of it this way, if it was a wide-spread issue (or an issue at all) it would have already sprung up here.

I highly doubt very many people are using their PA on max power, all day long, for extended periods of time. i.e.-over a month. Same goes for only vaping bubble hash in the same LB for over a month.

For now....we will soon show them the way to salvation :)

So amidst all the excitement about the new PA (which looks awesome, by the way), I have to chime in here with my story of disappointment in the MFLB.

Exactly a day after leaving the MFLB a glowing review on reddit, after having no issues with either of my boxes going on three years now, and on the first day of a two day trip to Normandy, my MFLB battery charger died. The lights seem to just blink at random, and neither of the batteries are charging from the adapter at all. I've tried two in tandem and one at a time on both sides with both batteries and nothing seems to work. Here's a video of the symptoms my new model charger is showing (sorry for the junky vid hosting):

I know this is not MFLB's fault, and I don't blame the company at all, but it really sucked to have my only vape completely die on me on this trip. Had to go back to combustion for two days (and with tobacco too, as the concentrates I'm using won't smoke otherwise). The tobacco has been particularly harsh on me and made me pretty sick last night (I have gastrointestinal issues that I use vaporization for, but combusting with tobacco almost completely offsets all medical benefits of the concentrates for me) .

So, going back to the adapter, the question in my mind is how did this happen when the charger itself is less than two weeks old and was working perfectly up until its death. I am using the charger on 220-240V, but it claims to be rated for this voltage. I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but I do know that being in Paris and having difficulty receiving packages the warranty process won't help me much. Tomorrow I'm going to suck it up and grudgingly drop 25 euro on a new charger because I've tried everything to get this one going without success.

Let this be a warning to you all who rely on vaporizers for health reasons.... Always bring a backup!

I too have had this problem. But also when using it with the car adapter the fuse keeps blowing no matter which 12v source I use.

My $$ is on the fact that we are now pushing the PA v1 at the highest end of the performance range and there are a few units that are doing their best to keep up.

Now the issue of the fuse blowing.....fuse on your Cig lighter?

Just a quick update to this post to say that apparently it's difficult to find good AA NIMH chargers in Paris under 40 EUR, so this faulty piece of the MFLB kit is going to cost me US $55 to replace. That's about 1/5 of my paycheck for the week, and really hard to do when surviving on the pittance I make in Paris. It's also more than a power adapter would have run me back home, and the fact that this one has a European plug (and I don't own any EUR -> US converters) means that if I want to keep using my LB in the states I'll have to spend another $10 on that, bringing my cost up to the price of the Power Adapter v2!

Never thought disappointed and upset were things I could be in an MFLB product, but the way in which this charger failed as well as the fact that it lasted less than two weeks doesn't seem to be consistent with the products in the rest of the kit. I really would like to know the electronic reason behind this failure, so if anybody knows anything about battery chargers please enlighten me.

I did find one charger for only 20 EUR (~$30), but it has a 20 hour (!) charge time for 1900mAh NIMH. Don't even want to think about how long that thing would take to charge my glyphs.

I'm sorry you're having troubles, but it's a bit hard to fix from here. What are you plugging it into? The video looks a little like it's some vehicle? Have you tried it on normal 'wall power' sources? It looks for all the world like a power source issue, I bet it works fine when you get back home.....

While I'm surprised that with the EU going such stuff is hard to find but again I'm not there. Your new batteries are about 2000 mAh, they will charge fully in about 20 hours as well. Except for the time, I would not fear the cheaper charger, especially if money is tight. Suck 'trickle chargers' are common and easier to make which accounts for the lower price.

Good luck.

You are correct, that was taken in a train. These issues started before then at home, however, and continued at the hotels where I was staying this weekend.

As much as I don't fear the trickle charger, I fear the prospect of having no batteries for 20 hours. Just got back from one of the only battery specialty stores in this city, came away with a "HQ" brand rapid charger that claims two hours of charge time. Only issue is it can either charge 2 or 4 batteries at once, and I only have two, which is a bit annoying. 33 Euros for this one.

It is really annoying that stuff like this is so hard to find here. It's pretty cheap and available online, but I don't want to ship stuff to this address that I only have a two month lease on.

I hope this "rapid charger" doesn't damage either of the batteries, at least for the next six weeks. If I'm doing something stupid, feel free to yell at me :\.

Can you tell me if the ' new ' button , needs to be pressed down all the time for it to work ?
or
Is it just click press on once and it stays on ?

Hey Poonman, I'm not sure as I am not in possession of one. All the text I provided was taken from the photos that Magic Flight e-mailed us.

Was a firm believer... Got a pax... Don't think I will look back. Sorry MFLB...... It's worth it everyone.

I don't think the Mflb is bad but the pax is in a different league. Better vapor production, ease of use, and stealthiness to name a few. Mine looks like an MP3 player now. I could leave it on my dash and never run Into any problems everyone would just assume it is an MP3 player. I am saying more or less if you have not tried the pax and you like the Mflb do. Because it is awesome. Mflb is great too pax is better.

The only point I will concede there is ease of use, because the LB does have a learning curve. I can get just as much vapour production out of my LB as I can from my Pax, and it always tastes better. Your "MP3" Pax (nice job on that by the way) is only stealthier if you narrow your definition down to hiding it in plain sight. If you actually use it then the smell blows your cover even before it gets hot enough to hit, but I can put the LB to my mouth, take a hit, and have it back in my pocket without a wisp of odour. Other than that, the Pax loses on almost every point of comparison I've considered, and I've considered a few: The Pax and MFLB: a subjective comparison.

I recognize that the Pax is still the preferred choice of some and I understand that. I have two of them. It's a good device, but it doesn't suit me. It was my wife's preferred device for a long time.

I can respect that and the Mflb is a fantastic unit. I just can't get over this pax man. Maybe a flash in the pan but 2 days in and I am beyond sold.

GrimKrum the pax might be better for your needs and it's cool your happy with what you bought . But they serve different needs . Yes they are both vaporizers and yes they are both conduction vapes the Pax is a session based vape and the Magic Flight is a one hitter .
I myself have no use for the pax right now , and don't want to be without my MFLB .
As it's been said and is nearly a motto here on FC that there is NO BEST VAPE . I know how you feel that to you the pax is a step up from the MFLB but not all of us want what it offers .
Your comments might better serve people in the Pax thread .

That said . Welcome to FC and happy Vapin' .

I'd like to see you use it in a full public movie theatre, sitting and taking hits throughout the whole movie, no one the wiser. ;) Reason I say this is because I just did this, twice! First time was Star Trek Into Darkness and the 2nd time was Iron Man 3. Both times I vaped throughout the whole movie and got majorly medicated both times! All in a packed theatre, with people all around me. I know I could never do that with a Pax.

I don't disagree with that but I could pop my mouthpiece and vape walking in and make it through the whole
Movie without an issue. I guess if push comes to shove I would
Bring both. All I am saying is I was not convinced the pax was so awesome then I tried it and like the box. It really blew my socks off. So for all my fellow Mflb brothers and sisters the pax is worth it give it a try also.

Meh....used both and not happy with the lack of the top end on the Pax. I do like the flash and pzazz of the Pax but it needs a V2.

The pax lacks everything except a cool look. now when you talk about metal detectors it gets fun. You can leave the mflb in your pocket walk through a metal detector and put you battries through the xray scanner. Leave the pax in your packet and its going to be hell. Also does any one know what your mflb looks like in the x ray scanner and what the pax looks like in an xray scanner.....ive seen both....pax looks shady as hell (think mini bomb) and the mflb is almost unnoticeable through almost all the filters.
