Discontinued Thermovape Cera

Great Scott!
To this day I still don't understand how I'm supposed to use my cera with glass.

I have an 18mm glass bubbler, and 18mm glass bong I'd love to try the cera in. How does it connect?

I'll give it a shot today at some point if I can figure it out.

I just take off the mouthpiece and hold the cart directly against the joint. I haven't had any leaks doing this and it works perfectly.

The cart with the bud in it? Wouldn't the bud just fall into the bong?

A couple of options to try. First put the silicone heat shield on the cap, it forms a gasket on the mouth of the GonG. There should also be a fat o-ring it the kit, that goes on the MP tip, against the cap and does the seal.

My personal favorite is the first technique, but try 'em both?

So I started to get a twitch behind my right eyeball, that turned into a throbbing pain... that was only relieved by a new interface & switch to run my EL cart. Ahhh yes, nicotine dosed again  48 hour tolerance breaks are better when planned for  Thankfully Thermoessence has great customer service in my experience

i haven't used the LL with a bong as i was too taken with the flavourful and smooth vape through the UFO. until my strap failed ...

mouthpiece sans-UFO with a big stainless gauze ontop, held on with the thermal condom? good seal and unhindered airflow!

Do you have a pic of what you are talking about? Sounds interesting.

I tried the seal with the heat sheild (since I always have that on) but it wasn't enough. Perhaps just too big of pieces to use with the cera LL?

I don't mind as much since the OEM mouthpiece does a great job of keeping it cool and not dry.

I found using the big o-ring on the mouth piec, with the condom made a decent seal but not all the time, I switched back to an adapter and tubing.

Edit: On a different note.

Zeki did not think my welded strap could fail. Well I tested the carts, all heat. I tested the switch, button out no heat, button pressed heat. So while it may not be the weld it is the strap.

What kind of gauze is this? Do you think you could just use a regular stainless screen?

Is it normal for the switch to get hot in the exact area the strap is running down??????
Ive felt intense heat at that area near the outside of the button (along strap path).

My switch and body will warm up. Not too hot to touch, but definetely warm. Didn't make the connection it was along the path of the strap, but maybe. I chalked it up to just not letting off the button, but would be interested in knowing if it should get warm at all.

I don't let off the button during my whole LL session and it doesn't get the least bit warm, pretty sure it shouldn't be heating up.

Thanks guys for all the input, I am going to have to send her in, its not bad but at times like sonic mentioned it can give you a slight burning sensation thats mild and can surprise you!!!!
I have never felt any heat around the switch area.

Me neither, I remember someone having that issue earlier in the thread though.

Just a few updates on my MP.

Few things;
1) Fits virtually any size female and male GonG downstems, etc.
2) Got rid of the original single flared gauge and replaced it with a tube from a stripped cartomizer. I think it looks a lot better.

**Disclaimer**
-I do support the original mouthpiece, as I have explained It just isn't for me. I do not sell these, these are strictly for my own personal use and will not be held accountable for anyones mishaps when attempting to make a MP like this. I appreciate people asking about it, but all the info is in the thread. I do not have any specific answer as to how I put it all together, and where I get all the parts. My best advice is just to be creative.-

Very nice.

"Being creative" was definitely part of the design. Evolution experience showed that some guys love to tinker with this stuff, TV embraced that and IMO still does. Very unlike most makers?

And most of the stuff we're messing with will transfer directly over to the 'mini Cera' which I think will be very popular as it is addressing many of the concerns/wishes that came up with Cera. Cera is, IMO, a radical departure exploring what's possible with new (ceramic) technology. Most agree, the Zirconia is not the optimum body choice for them, for instance, but few doubt the wisdom and effect of the cores (EL excepted and that I think is under control with a return to 'AVA internals' as the base rather than using the EO core as the starting point).

Thanks for sharing, hopefully you're inspiring others.

Sorry for being unclear. the volcano gauze is a normal stainless steel screen just a wee bit bigger than average. Any bigger than the hole in the mouthpiece should be fine, only thing i was concerned about was scratching the ceramic with the edge of the screen but mine didn't mark

Hey y´all;)

So I was sitting around the other day studying for my math exam and dreaming about getting Cera soon. I had earlier that day checked the shipping status and it was stated as in customs clearance, so I thought another week give or take. Anyways all of a sudden the intercom from the street door buzzed and I ignored it at first, since I didn't think it was for me but just the weekly advertizing stuff. Well it rang again and I got irritated so I went to answer and in came the mailman with a suspiciously cera sized package - I wonder what it could be (I actually did). Of course it was the cera and I quickly turned that frown upside down:) Especially since I didn't have to pay any import duties, taxes, fees and such which combined is usually atleast a third of the price added. So it only took 6 days from the US to Denmark:D
Then it hit me I had forgotten to order the charger and batteries from Germany and proceeded to do so immediately. Now I thought my shipping luck was up but I still called yesterday to check the progress and was told Monday at the very earliest - 3 hours passed and the mailman rang my doorbell lol:)

So its all here now just waiting to be tried out tonight:)

(placed the evo in the background for extra flash lol)

So I've been checking out your different solutions regarding a carrying/storage case for Cera. And while I am impressed with how yours look and are built its to big and heavy? to carry around all day in my opinion. Anyways I sat out to make a dirt cheap, smaller and lightweight case and I guess this is my contribution (this is the Hobo version, it can be made a lot nicer):)

It's basically a piece of insulation for water pipes etc., 2 velcro straps and a piece of cloth - easy fix:)

Pheew that ended up being a long one and I probably got some more for you when I try Cera tonight:D
