apparently they've been in discussion with enrico and theyre being shipped anyway. the issue being resolved upon the unit attaining temperature. id say having it a little loose (when cold) will help it not get so tight once at temperature, and less likely result in the type of break in the instagram feed.
So apparently the grill and moon tool no longer comes with it. They are redesigning it and possibly making it in titanium to be sold separately. Booooooo...come on guys, you couldn't include a basic pick?

My HA is only a 2 prong... and the Sub is supposed to only pull about 45watts... but I'm no expert either.

what jamb said ... most of my kitchen appliances are 2-prong. not necessarily a problem. but the >500°F scares me. can you set it to 380°F (using thermometer) and try it. and, of course, how much it drops during the hit.

Glad to hear the hits are not harsh. I know it's early to tell..but do you think you feel a 'cleaner' high? How would you rate the ease of use?! I mean do you see yourself knocking things left and right while using the Sublimator or just set and forget style

The whole handle is fairly cool to the touch up until the top hoop or so. Haven't had an issue so far.

I don't know that there's much room for insulation. I'm no engineer, but in the small area they've got to heat and make it fit into a pipe joint would probably cause more bulk than it was worth.
Last video said 'this is not a toy, or something to be irresponsible with'. I don't see it as any more potentially harmful than using a torch for dabbing. It's all in the users hands, ultimately. As long as the unit is safe to operate under 'normal' conditions I think that's about what we can ask for. That's why I really wouldn't mind an 'auto-off' function. Maybe have it optional, or on a toggle switch for times you have people over and really want to keep things going, but ultimately it could save your house and life if things get too foggy and it falls over unattended still at temperature.

I'm not at all worried, but it couldn't hurt, it wasn't expensive, and I like that it's small so it can stay paired up with the Sub. if I travel anywhere with it. I suppose if you are truly concerned about it not timing out, you could put a manual timer in line as well.
