Try lifting the stem up a mm , then inhale .
Basically , lust high enough , so the glass edge is off the 4 holes .
That should be easier .
or just get the PVHES stems from Planetvape.ca .

Just stop sucking so hard. As stated often, the resistance in airflow is built into the design, i.e., it's there for a reason.

It's a bit of a mental game in learning how to hit the solo. I assume most of us come from consuming cannabis by means that utilized fast and easy inhalation (joints, bongs). Think of it as switching from drinking soda from a straw to sucking a smoothie through a straw.

Could it be that steping down the opening size helps with the draw? Using the EQ mouthpiece or the balloon mouthpiece seems to work in a similar fashion.

Buying this and going to try to mate it to this what adapter will I need to get the SOLO stem to fit the intake on the A/C, ALSO will the male of the A/C fit the F/M end of 14.5 J-hook.This, if its possible will be a cheap little rig and I will be able to see if it takes the heat out a little, I figure you could put a bit of liquid in it,or go with out fluid,should be enough glass to cool it down a bit.Thanks for the help,I am lost, getting high has evolved into a candy store of fun for me.I dont know what 1/2 are talking about in todays scene,OLD FART that I am. Please excuse my stupidity, this is nothing I ever knew about, so much cool info to learn.You need a degree in water pathways or tools if you want to call em that.LOVE IT just wish I knew more, in time if you guys dont give up on me,I will get a bit more knowledgeable, PROMISE!!:bowdown:

I am going to get the solo, and have been reading around where people have made some modifications to the stem and bowl to get better air flow and thicker hits. I am not sure what to do or what to get, but I saw where someone used a mesh screen and shaped it like a dome. I am trying to picture this and get details on what to do. Also, where would be the best place to buy this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry for the idiot question..... sometimes when I turn on my Solo I get it to display the battery level. Every single time I've done it I did it by accident. Every time I've tried to acutally do it I can't! What is the actual way to get it to show up haha?

In other news is there any way to charge a Solo battery faster than the stock charger? I hate how long it takes... maybe I need a second Solo...

Yup this is right. If youre pulling hard at all you're doing it wrong. You have to sip lightly like an OMICRON cartridge to get the best hits.

Guys i've tried the hot chocolate milk reclaim this weekend, but must have done something wrong- after 20min in the hot milk cooking and some stirring, the stem was just like on the beginning- i let even more, and no results! After i took it and shake hard on the chocolate cip, wich helped a bit, but still much went without reclaiming...

What could i've done wrong?!?

It happens every time on power up. First a flash on the blue 'idle' light, then a second flash with the beep (if enabled) then the number 7 light flashes, then about 3 seconds of battery condition followed by 'idle' status (time to set temperature).

If you're not getting an indication is probably because you've discharged it too much to show. There are still a couple sessions left when the lights are all dark, it's probably not a good idea to push it if you want maximum battery life.

No, the charge rate is set internally, using a more powerful charger doesn't change it (it uses about 800mA actually). 3 hours for a complete charge, give or take. But again, full discharges are tough on cycle life. Your call there.

Using non or low fat milk? It's the fat you need to 'take up' the good stuff. Cream would probably work as well? This is not a good time to think 'eat healthy first'.....

Otherwise you need butter fat, coconut oil or something like that or no joy....

You know for daily use, the disposable tips the hooka guys use might be worth looking into. Plenty cheap:

Some strains vape better than others. Is this right? Lemon kush vapes better than mr. nice, I thought it had something to do with the level of dryness. Old and dry buds are best, most of my weed still has a little moisture in it. What can be done?

Or you can be lazy like me and give up some taste or as OF says fouled up. When the herb is wet it is usually the first few hits that suffer the most IMO then it is back to normal. I do pre-grind a lot sometimes but since it is still in jars it doesn't get as dry as it should be. A lot of times I just chuck a nug in and don't grind at all.

OF are you trying to make me spend more money to get pretty tips? If these work and I decide I like them then I will spend more money :nod:. I like the feel of the glass so it has to do something special for me to actually use them but since all were talking about it I needed to know. You know in the future when someone complains I will know what to answer them ;) .

Like OF says you need fat, I used to hate cleaning stems till I tried this, not any more , it's a job I look forward to do once a week. What I do is make one of those instant hot chocolate,but use only about a third of a cup water and top it up with creamer, nuke it in the microwave till it's good and hot and stir and lift for a couple minutes with the stem and done, the stem comes out clean with just a little left in corners of the bowl. If I don't put enough fat in for the reclaim to adhere to there will be clumps of oil floating and stuck to the cup when I'm done. One week of vaping with a stem seems to be perfect for me. Good luck

I get mine at my LHS, I think they are 3/4" but 5/8" would probably be a closer fit, the stem is 1/2" ID so a 1/2" screen would sit flat in there. What I do is use a sharpie to mold the dome into the screen then trim to fit perfectly. This will keep the four holes clear so they don't get jammed up & reduce airflow, but won't necessarily improve airflow. There are lots of little tricks & tips with the solo, you should probably go check out the solo thread, there is a lot of info there & a lot of very helpful people who frequent it. You would get far more response over ther.

They work very well , Dreamerr .
It's like NIGHT and DAY .
You are gonna love it .
Less restrictive draw by far ,
and easier to fill up your lungs with more volume of vapors .
That extra volume per hit ' may ' make you feel more medicated .
Let me know , what you think .

@ OF , have you tried it yet ?

@ ataxian , you can bump up the temp . level and it won't be much harsher like before . ( Dry )
Plus I find the budder resin in the mouthpiece adds a little extra flavor taste . ( But not the high )

Yes , it is the same process as adding a small cigar filter tip on a cigarello .
But it works , I think all you Solo users should give it a try and report your experience .
and also try it on the PVHES stems and let me know if it's even smoother than the stock ones .

Since I am using the hes stem right now I will try it on that one first. I have to get out a stock stem to try that as well but if I like it on hes I may not bother. My guess is that it might be to much airflow with hes but we will see. They mailed it today so I guess I will get it by Thursday or maybe Friday at the latest.
