Just an update on that oil diffuser gong conversion:

It works great!! I had to use a couple of "O" rings inside on the "bowl" end of the gong which now hold everything rock solid. The bowl part does not even get very hot, but I now clear the bong by pulling up the Solo since everything is now tight the way it is supposed to be. The "bowl" size is about twice the size of a normal stem "bowl". Can hit it a long time. When it gets too whispy I open the cap up, blow out the bud and turn it around to vape the other end. I find this setup is now my favorite. If I want to use it without water, I just add an EQ balloon stem and a piece of tubing:

Just want something little 2 or 3 would be nice but pipesdaddy don't accept paypal and ask 25$ to ship that bubbler with the extra tax i could just buy another piece but then again i think i'll always need to pay tax if i order from usa

I can't claim , it's the best way .

But I like to sandwich the hash crumbled up in between herbs .
The hash taste will over power the taste of the herb . ime
With wax , I like to keep the wax crumbles closer to the heating chamber part .
I pinch some herb with my fingers and layer it thin over the wax in the end .
That way it's hot enough for the budda and will melt onto the herbs , and Not stain the
chamber . I usually have to bump it up to 7 for those meds .

Another method is using cotton, some people like to use organic but the $1 bags or speed spun q-tips will work fine. Any concentrate can be used with cotton :wave:

The tax thing is tricky .
If I order from Planetvape.ca , I get charged 13 % Canadian tax . ( but free shipping on big orders )
If I order from Puffitup and Vapeworld in the US , NO taxes . ( but usually shipping fees )
So it kinda works out the same for me either way .

And if you're from Europe , I really don't know what taxes they can charge Europeans ordering
overseas ? Maybe others can chime in .

BTW , I also use a small $ 10 bubbler I got from the convenience store across my street .
With the help of a few rubber O-rings , it has a good seal .

yes, and yes.
They work great.
crumble bubble hash well and sandwich between layers of weed(the buuble hash can be thickest layer)
wax- put a dab in a small piece of cotton from a qtip, roll it up, stick it in the stem and run with it!

Careful, not all cotton balls are the same. I agree organic may not be necessary but I would stay away from anything synthetic. 100% natural cotton only

My Francais is not up to par ,
but I think that one is specially made to fit with the SSV .
It could work with the Solo too , idk .
I think it's too much tho , you don't need all those accessories .

There was a ' ghetto ' version a few pages back posted by a new member .
A simple basic bubbler with no percs or difussers .
That's all you really need .

But it's good you're doing your research before buying .

I use concentrates of all kinds for 99% of my vaping. Layering works very well for me. If the stem cools down before emptying, I find it easier to heat it up with a lighter and then empty it - besides, it gives me something to do with all those lighters.

Full melt bubble hash is a favorite for every day use, all the other extractions work just as well. When layering, keep gravity in mind because that stuff becomes very viscous very quickly and you don't want it on the steel.

The cotton balls work great too, just make sure you can vape the cotton alone in a clean stem with no output.
Here's a fun experiment, weigh a small ball of cotton, add 2-3 dabs of your favorite concentrate, weigh again and vape away. How much does the cotton weigh when your done?

If it says "Cotton" it is 100%
It is against federal law to use the word "Cotton" on a pharmacy product and use synthetics

Now.....
there is one product type that comes in a bag, and looks like cotton balls, but is made of a variety of polyesters....
This product is labeled as "Cosmetic Puffs" and it will NOT say the word "cotton" on this product's labeling. The product I speak of is sold often in a variety of "budget stores"... "99¢ Stores" and other places that sell only off brand non USA made items.
They are, however allowed to use the word cotton as an adjective within a brand name, which allows them some leway in fooling us...

As per the Conversation we had on the vapor atomization thread .

Hey Stu ,
You gotta try this on your Solo .
After playing around with it , I was able to stretch the Omicron tip over the Solo stem .
It does offer a smoother pin point hit . I did it on level 6 dry .
I also found it to be ' Less ' resistance on the draw , in fact , an easier inhale .

I'm pretty vaked already , so idk about ' higher ' , but def . smoother .
But I like it enough to recommend it on the Solo thread .

hey poon, im not sure if youre talking about me & my "ghetto" setup, but im not exactly a "new" member - although i took a little hiatus for about 1/2 a year just cuz i had to abstain for a long while.

Yes the Omicron silicone mouthpiece tip .
And for the past half hour , I've been vaping dry on level 6 .
Which I rarely do dry , unless to squeeze out another hit or 2 .
It def. does hit smoother and offer an easier inhale .

Will try the water path next ....
