I think it is aquarium pump tubing . . I tossed it in favor of Silcon tubing from US Plastics . . . if you contact customer service you can get a length shorter than 10' iirc . . .

Silcon® Silicone Tubing
The most outstanding property of Silcon® is its resistance to temperature extremes. These, plus its good electrical properties coupled with the ability to self-extinguish, makes Silcon® an excellent choice for appliance and computer applications. Peroxide-cured Silcon® contains no sulphur or other acid-producing chemicals, thereby eliminating the possibility of staining, corroding, or deteriorating other materials it contacts. It is extremely resistant to ozone and U.V. over long time periods. Care is recommended in the selection of fittings and clamps for Silcon® as sharp barbs or unlined metal clamps could tear into the wall and possibly cause a failure. Silcon® is not recommended for implantable or in-body uses or for continuous steam applications. Silcon® may be low pressure steam sterilized in-line or autoclaved at up to 250°F in a normal autoclaving cycle. However, if exposed to repeated steam sterilization or long-term high temperature or pressure, silicone will eventually relax and become gummy. It should then be replaced. Translucent natural color for visual contact with the flow. Resilient, stretchable, and resistant to compression set. Odorless, tasteless, and inert. Good electrical and weatherability properties — resists U.V., ozone, gases, and moisture. Not for use with fuels. Listed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF 51). Temperature range -100° F to 500° F. Meets FDA standards. Not for use with fuels. Silcon® is a registered trademark of NewAge® Industries. Phthalate free. Standard length is 100’ except #54042 which is 50’. Tubing is priced per foot; sold in 10' intervals only.

Temperature Range: -94° to 392° F
so i think that it is not safe to use the stock whip because its not rated for heat tolerance ..most coffee machine is brewing at 190- 205 F, HA go up to 400F.

400F is the temperature in the heater; far below the mouthpiece and even further below the tubing.
The temperature of the air hitting the tubing is nowhere near 392F.
If the vapor coming from the main mouthpiece was 392 (about twice the temperature of piping fresh coffee), then inhaling directly from the mouthpiece would result in some serious internal burns.

Alrighty, so after watching the Miami Heats intro for Game 1 of the NBA Finals, it got me hyped in my '03 C-Webb Jersey to make a return to vaping after coping horribly after my Cloud died. [The C Word]
I knew I had to try the Cloudbuddy with the HA, so after I dusted the CB off, it ended up being a convenient match. The HA is so light on top of the rig, you barely feel anything while moving the glass with 1 hand. I wrote in the description how I didnt let the HA heat up enough, so the 1st few hits which you seen werent the milkiest. Someone in another thread a while back asked if I tried the HA with the CB, and all I can say is after trying it, it will be the combo I go to for the next few months. I got a new piece coming in the honeycomb straight tube, so I cant wait to try the HA with it. The HA had its rest, but now its back to work.

Im super happy I bought this before jumping right on the Cloud. I learned with this vape, and going back to it is easy since I know the technique and what it can and cant do. Good stuff.
how tight does the PV gong fit ?
if you twist does it turn the inner oven ?

PV said dont twist so I dont twist. If I move it while its inverted the cord kind of turns the HA and the GonG piece is just idle with enough space to move without friction. I always place the piece in the glass before inserting the HA. Its best to let the piece get hot with the HA on it for a minute and then take a rip.

Well I was about to post my year+ update about how much I love the herbalAire.....but I just received the PV GonG and on my first attempt at removing the severely stuck and apparently too large GonG from the HA it broke/dislodged the internals. My beloved herbalAire is broken.

I didn't twist the GonG -- or didn't mean to, but it's obvious that the GonG has become mated to the oven and has twisted it. I can tell this b/c the teflon air intake no longer lines up with the hole in the body and I see insulation there instead. I still can't remove the GonG by pulling it straight out -- it is completely stuck.

I tried to be careful and follow instructions, but it's clear that it got twisted slightly as I tried to pull a severely stuck GonG straight out of the herbalAire. It was stuck b/c the GonG must be mis-sized -- the herbalAire itself was clean and clear of resin.

When I leave the GonG in for a while it makes the seal tighter from the heat. Did you wait for it to cool down before trying to pull the GonG out? When its cool, there is enough space for it to come out without any restriction for me at least.

I tried pulling it out when it was hot (per instructions to dump material while bowl is at its hottest) but it was clear it wasn't going to budge. So I let it cool down fully before exerting more force. It is still stuck in there, completely cool.

Does anyone know of glass stems that have the same dimensions as the teflon stems that come with the HA? That would be infinitely easier to work with because the teflon doesnt only get hot as fuck, but it gets super sticky and its annoying to clean. Glass would be much easier to work with.

The Arizer solo glass stem work really nice with the HA, it fit really good

I've read about people using these with the HA, so you use it with just the crucible and stem right? Is that not dangerous? (can the glass shatter from getting heated without the teflon to insulate?) Also is there a way to attach silicon tubing to the Solo stem?

You use the stem in place of the cruc + mouthpiece, as MattyG mentioned a few posts ago.

The solo stems are slightly smaller than the PV gong stems, so they won't jam, and they give you a bit more wiggle room.

BTW, I've used my stock HA teflon stems direct to my 18mm bubbler for a long time without any problems. It doesn't get near as hot as glass, doesn't "melt", as you stated, and is easily cleaned by soaking it in alcohol.

It's good quality glass and the temperatures aren't anywhere near extreme enough to cause a heat stress related fracture. The only thing you need to take into consideration is that there is a small gap at the top where cold air can be sucked in to the stem, you will need to plug that with an o-ring or some teflon tape.

I loved the HA too, but I stopped using mine for a few reasons. Mainly I stopped getting primarily mids and got KB on a regular basis, which costed a lot more so I switched to a log vape almost exclusively so i can use tiny loads, which sure you can in the HA, it just doesnt feel the same. The log usage style and also worked better for my needs. They're always on and ready to go, and the mouthpiece and bowl are one piece (stem) that is easily removed, even mid-session should you need to, which was my one griped about the HA, once i dropped in the crucible and started I almost always wanted to vape until the end. While the amount that I loaded into a crucible on average was definitely enough to get be vaked a couple times, I would always end up too much of it up too fast, and I'm someone who likes to start with fresh herbs every time i vape, i have almost no interest in picking back up on a partially vaped bowl.

Another reason i stopped using it was because I stopped using it for one of the main reasons i got it - to revape herb from other vapes when i'm out of fresh bud. Sure, for a while there i was vaping the wdz abv in it now and then, but then I switched to QWISO for my abv, and i find that vaping QWISO goo is much more pleasant than any means of delivering 400F HA ABV vapor.

And lastly, the HA was a vape i bought to be used with my noob friends when they came by, and my gf at the time had started trying to hit my ssv but couldnt always get a good amount of vapor in the tiny puff that she would take, so i wanted to get a bag vape. Well she ended up getting preg and stopped partaking altogether, only tried the HA bags once. One friend really loved the HA but always got too stoned off it, to teh point he was almost lethargic, until one time he got so stoned he felt like he was sick i guess, when we did a packed crucible at 375F right off the bat lol. Another friend liked the HA straight up until the end but stopped having $ or herb to pitch in, so I would more often than not be offering up stems to share instead of the more extravagant loads of the HA. Either way, it just stopped getting used as a multi-person/party vape, which was the other main reason I got it.

So yeah, those are the reasons why I stopped using the HA as my primary vape. I eventually moved it and its accessories off my desk and to the closet because it wasnt being used and there was a change in my life where i couldnt just have tons of vaporizer stuff laying around everywhere. After spending so much time in the closet, i figured i might as well just sell it to someone that will get use out of it, and the money went towards buying a different log vape that was even better suited to my needs than the WDZ. If i had enough disposable income that I could afford to buy new vapes without having to sell ones that arent used much anymore, I definitely would have hung on to the HA, but alas, I am not rich.

But I would still say the HA is the best vape in some ways:

Best extraction for if you only want to vape w/o dealing with QWISO or cooking
Best vape for quickly getting a good effect off of not-so-good herb
Best party vape especially if you get the high-output pump and large bags or 3/5-way mouthpiece
Excellent lazy man/noob vape, no grinding needed, no risk of combustion even with having best extraction.

and thats why I still commonly recommend it to certain people.

So still own it? Or did you get rid of it?

Yeah I sold it, to be able to afford a diff Vape and bong that fit my needs/usage better at the time.

I plan on getting another in the near future tho, I miss it, so do my friends.
