The HI

HI Alan - Wow, that piece is stunning! No big surprise, all your pieces are stunning, but I really love that redwood burl! I also really like the new design without the bottom because it is so simple. Digging the new hexagon plate on the bottom with the drilled holes. That must be fun to make!

Now back to starring at the amazing burl!

Thanks Jam, Vapinghole, Jeppy, and toros23. The core plate already has the holes in it. I just need to cut the hex.

Here is another one I just finished. The HIPod.
I purchased a Banksia Pod at the wood store a while back. Glad I waited for the new design to make it. Works very well and stays cool to the touch. It might run just a bit lower in temperature due to all the holes allowing convection to constantly remove heat. The only defect in the pod was a worm hole (like it doesn't have enough holes already). It does make a mess when you turn them on the lathe.
It is a very sturdy material that is well suited for this application.

 LOVE the Pod HI!! I NEED to win the lottery or something, so many good vapes to try to keep up with these daze!! Keep up the amazing work Alan!! Once you are good and caught up with orders, I might be adding a second HI to the family.

**any way to set LEDs into the Pod, so it shines colored lights out the holes?

Wow, I haven't had time to catch up completely yet, but it seems a lot happened here as well. I don't grasp all the changes to the renewed HI just yet so I definitely got some reading to do.

Anyway, I just noticed PB88123's post on page 136 which made me think about how long I've had my HI now, and as it turns out ET and I have been together exactly a year at the end of this month :haw:

So I figured a current pic was in order and rushed out with the camera. Unfortunately daylight was too far gone already to show you guys what a Hi really looks like after a year of pretty hard use, but I still caught a nice glimpse for ya at least I think.

Haha, nice

Have I ever posted a pic of my HI & HotPod side by side? I'll try to shoot some better pics when daylight returns.

Hello fellow JedHIs.. A new member is asking for comparisons between a HI or competing log vape. If anyone cares to help out, the thread is here:

Welcome Rrose:)

Adobewan!
You ve been here before but welcome back to the party.

today its a pool party at the dome!

OTA he.she really likes that Hi!

Alan glad you enjoyed turning the Pod. 3 unique layers.the brown velvet layer under the husk shell is very strange when you first see it.
I think a wormhole in the wood kinda suits/is apt for the HI too.:)
really nice work

Yay, Adobewan has joined the pool party!! May the force be with you! :peace:

Seriously Adobewan, you did nothing wrong at all in that thread and had no reason to edit your post and apologize. You posted your experiences and there is nothing at all wrong with that. We have been talking offline for a while now and I think I know you well enough to vouch for your overall good intentions. You sure have educated me over the past few months!

Thank you U Bwade.
Toro, love your heart!
There is so much happening in the vape world, it's easy to get swept up in many new vape threads and not see all the awesomeness that's happening around here. Alan's already outstanding work has really blossomed, it's thrilling to see the creative growth. Like finding a new vape, but with the FC Jedi support of a veteran model!
Man, it is a great time to be alive, and a vapist.

I've asked Alan already but it's the weekend and people are working and relaxing so does anyone know if the Burl wood is available yet or have you scoundrels already gobbled them all up? That HIPod is awesome as well, really made me smile!

Cannonball!
Oops, forgot my suit!

HOLD IT.............What's happening here? I know it's classic rock Monday, but just thinking about mvapes new acquisition and most importantly the fact that the Master JedHI, 'Alan Wan Kenobi' is back in the dome again, creating a new population of JedHI warriors is call for celebration.

Here is a picture of my trusty HI saber under guard by the ominous HI keeper.
