This is the email I just received from GV. I sent a lengthy email last week telling them my frustrations with their vague info that is all unsubstantiated. Talk is cheap, but it's better than nothing and this is in synch with what you all are posting so there is most likely some truth to it:

I totally understand your frustration and we will make sure to never
mismanage your expectations again, I am receiving a working production model
today for testing.
I will get you the most updated information about shipping once I speak with
DaVinci after my review of the Ascent.
We all appreciate you choosing Got Vape and I take everything that you have
said to heart.
I will keep you in the loop with my progress.

Hey all, just wanted to let you know that a few review units did go out today! Yaay..which means we're getting much closer. IF all goes well, I should have those presales started next week; sorry guys you've waited this long why not a few more, right?
2 units even went to FC members...
On a side note- I do talk to Nano pretty much everyday. Looks like they are trying to manage expectations better nowadays.

Well, we know that both Adobewan and Jaywolf won them, but not sure if they get theirs now, or if it is some of the others that are getting review units, or C) ALL OF THE ABOVE.
I hope it is C.

Right those are both the contest winners and as you pointed out we don't know jaywolf. He was new here IIRC when he won and said he would do a review but we haven't seen him since. I guess that was why my small bitchfest on newbies coming in to win the joke contest. I don't think they are getting theirs first. The reviewers come first then the winners then us I believe.

I entered on FB, Twitter and E mail. I have the original DV and its good I have no problems with it. I will do you guys justice and give this one a solid review video.

Jay-wolf was last on site a week ago, and the last post was about 2 months ago.
This was the earlier contest open to everybody (not just FC) where the winner got BOTH a DaVinci and an Ascent.
SIDENOTE: Oh, and after Dreamerr pointed it out, I realized I confused the earlier "few" in the DV post with the "two" for the FC shipments.
Yay, Can't wait to share my thoughts on the unit with you and the community! Congrats on the milestone in production.

I can tell you I am not a reviewer. I guess we have a few weeks to go but we waited this long so it isn't a big deal.
These are good times ,
Between the Ascent and the Sublimator and even the Herbalizer .
We the ' vaping community ' are heading in for an excellent summer .....I hope .
