So as of last week I'm a member of the SSV club :)

I like the way it hits, it's smooth and less harsh than my old EQ. Only thing I miss is it not being hands free (I have the regular glass). Oh, and I think I have one of those units with a weak heater or something..I have to turn it to 3:00 just to can't hits, 4:00 to get milky ones. Can't seem to get any vapor at 2:00. But I'm happy with my purchase.

Tinker with your heater cover and maybe try the screen mod should get ya where ya want. Also keeping the ssv on while not in use will help along with the aroma top....

Ok thanks..I think I need to pack it more too. I was barely covering the screen but then I packed a bit more in and it seemed to produce vapor quicker.

As for having to hold the glass to the heater during my session, that is a little annoying. Does that hands free attachment help?

So I have had my SSV for several months and I still come here all the time to read the forum that helped me make my mind up on my first vape!

I got the Rainbow Zen color with the purple metallic base with a custom ground glass kit and purple hose.

I have been meaning to post pictures of my SSV to share with you guys but have been busy, but I have some time now so I thought I would Post!

is a flat mouth piece easier to hold in your mouth with no hands or is it just aesthetic?

Wow.... Uh... What the hell.

I don't really know what the fuck just happened.

I was just using my Vapor bros. mini wand as I've been since I've got it. Same temperature (not even very hot) and not too much herb or anything. I took a hit normally and took the wand away from my SSV. As I held it in my hand, the top of the wand bumped the side of my hand (that's right, my hand) and it just shattered.

It's in a bunch of pieces. What the hell.

It had no cracks or anything.

I'm.. I'm... I don't really know what to say. I guess I'm permanently using the standard SSV wands now. :\

That was my fear about ordering a mini wand. It is so much thinner than the stock SSV. My wife hates using the mini because she said she is afraid to break it.

Sorry to hear, sounds like you where enjoying using it. I wish 7th Floor would make a mini.

After it broke last night, I immediately switched to the standard wand (after cleaning up all of the herb and broken glass from my lap and surrounding floor area..) and to be honest, there isn't that big of a difference. I'd say that the mini wand does pretty much what people says it does, except I found that it burns through herb much quicker.

At this point if you wanted a mini wand, I'd probably tell you to just crank the temperature on the SSV instead with the standard wand.

The standard wand definitely feels better in my hand though.

I was enjoying it, but it always did feel kind of 'cheap' to me. I could see it breaking more easily than the SSV wand but I didn't think it would just explode from bumping my squishy hand. It's not like I punched the thing. lol

Hi, I have a wand question. This past Saturday I bought a used SSV locally for a friend via Craigslist for $80! It's in mint condition; I met the guy in front of a predetermined gas station, it came with two wands, two mouthpieces in a nice red hemp case. A nice fellow in his early 60s on his recumbent bike. He said he just wasn't getting the performance out of it and that he ended up using more material with the SSV than he was getting smoking.

Anyway after cleaning out the wands and getting fully blitzed from the wand hash using Vito's reclaim technique (but it's all gone now) I turned on the vape last night to give her a go. Now I understand exactly what he was talking about. The performance with the wands that came with his unit just isn't there. Very wistful hits at best. So... I tried this unit with my original wand that's about five or six years old and the SSV works perfectly as it should.

My friend came over last night to get the SSV and I told her to wait a week, that I want to send her home with it working perfectly, not as a project. It's the wand, no question.

I am not 100 percent sure that the standard wands available from 7th Floor are exactly the same as the original SSV wand that I have that I'm looking to buy for the newly acquired SSV. But that's the wand that's necessary. My original standard SSV wand is about one inch shorter than the ones that came with his unit.

I'm posting two photos to illustrate. One is the vape, heater cover side facing. The other is the two wands. The one that's connected to the blue hose is my original. You'll notice that it's shorter. That is the one I need. The longer one is the one that came with the unit, and it's the one that's inhibiting real performance. Can someone tell me if this is the currently available standard wand from 7th Floor, or if the wands that came with his unit are the current standard ones? And if it's the latter, what options or fine tuning would be recommended to make this vape happen the way it should?

Thanks very much....

Contact them at 7th floor...
tell them you want the shorter wand
Then tell them to watch for your email with the picture you just shared with us.
They will see to it you get what you want.

Thanks Vito, I had already emailed them with these photos. Is this a known issue with these longer wands? I'll let you know how it transpires....

I always specify that I want the longer wand. They seem to work best for me.
Everyone has their own preference.
