I'll admit I know next to nothing about the LSV but i'm a big fan of 7th floor products.

Could somebody with more experience with them please speak on the rate of failure of the LSV and in general how many find themselves needing to use the warranty? I've had my SSV for at least six years and it's never had a problem but the LSV appears more fragile. Some products, like the PAX, seem to have a relatively high rate of warranty work needing to be done...

Thank you.

Since I love my SSVs so much, I only use my LSV really "hard" once a day. (30 minute session)
I have done so for 2 years with impunity.
No part has been replaced, broken or worn.

My heater cover is loose to the point where I think it could slide right out. The metal shim at the base isn't doing much to secure it. I've shifted it and such but it doesn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions about how this could be rectified ?

pinch the "shim" at the top in one direction (make it oblong east/west).. while at bottom make shim oblong in opposite direction..(north/south)
Another way is to widen the shim at one end but not at the other.
Method #1 is my preferred method for a real loose HC~

Thank you.

My LSV has been working flawlessly since I got it.

Bought mine used it was about a year old. I've been using it multiple times daily without any problems since (about 3 months)! Aside from the glass bits there isn't much to break.

The LSV is for all intents and purposes a hand held version of the SSV. Same heating element, temp control etc. The only thing you could really break on this thing would be the glass heater cover, which is relatively inexpensive and could be replaced in a manner of minutes. All in all it is a fairly bomb proof design.

Already Tried both methods with little to zero success.

I've had issues with loose glass, but I've also replaced my heater cover more than once. Don't try to get it too snug or you will break the glass. You want a friction fit. I have extra shims but the shim it came with has been perfect with a little tweaking. It takes some trial and error if you have to adjust the shim, but here's what I do..... If your shim has a bent corner then bend that side a little more convex than it was before.... If it takes force to fit the glass on then it's bent too much and you risk breaking a heater cover.... If it fits snug then you have the shim right. My LSV travels a lot because it blows combusters away, and it's dealt with many party but continues to hold strong :-D

What's the experience working direct with 7th Floor? I ordered on Monday, and other than the standard email acknowledging the purchase, I haven't heard anything else. I was hoping to have the LSV by this weekend but at this point, it's not happening. Sent them an email yesterday, and it's probably safe to say I won't be talking to anyone til Monday. First my cloud fails, then I can't even get a backup in a reasonable amount of time. Woe is me.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Their standard processing time is 6 days, so I suspect you should be receiving a shipping notice soon.
Mine was shipped in 5 days, but it felt like a *long* 5 days...

Bringing this comment over since it is better suited here.

Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment but I'm considering another cloud from puffitup. I ordered an LSV to be my backup in these troubled times, but it doesn't appear to be arriving any time soon. Just tell me I'm crazy for considering canceling my LSV order (it's been a week and it hasn't shipped yet) and picking up another cloud, and I'll leave we'll enough alone.

This is 7th Floor's shipping and handling terms.

Shipping & Delivery
All processed orders are received the following business day. 7th Floor offers a variety of shipping methods to help fit the customers' needs. All orders are subject to a 6 day processing period, regardless of the shipping method chosen. All orders are shipped in a non-descript brown cardboard box. Shipping costs are estimated by weight, distance of travel, and shipping method. UPS Ground and USPS Priority services take 3-6days for arrival. 7th Floor does not offer any expedited shipping options with Saturday delivery.

Thanks for the info. I think I would've been better off with a vendor but a lot of 7th Floor vendors only sell the DBV and SSV. The 2nd comment was more about taking a chance on another cloud. Which I don't think would belong here. Maybe I should'nt have mentioned the LSV in it? My apologies if I did something wrong. But one was about 7th Floor, the other was about the Cloud/Vapexhale.

While you didn't do anything particularly wrong ...you would have been received comments about the LSV in the Cloud Thread.... and the mods don't like that too much.

Understood. After seeing their "6 day" processing period, I'll stick to the original plan, and edit the post in the other thread. Thx

7th floor has always responded to my customer requests. They are good dudes. It might take a week, but at least they care IMO.

So I cleaned my wand and let the iso sit for a whole and got a ball of some wand hash, I smoked it in a bowl an left it in a bowl. It went in rotation a lot but I took it out and it was just crumbled. Maybe we lit it too much? I finally told them in the middle to just hit it as its rolling so maybe the excessive lighting made it go fast? It went around for about 15-25 mins. The hash was still kind of wet and sticky, but boy was I high. I was just curious how long your lasts. I've smoked some other kind of hash and they guy took the ball with him when we were done. I wasn't planning on smoking that whole ball but I did...

LSV has landed. Very impressed with the looks. The anodized purple looks awesome. I had some trouble getting a good seal with the wpa. So I used the standard wand, and other than being unhappy with the dry air, it worked very well. My flower lasted a long time, was very tasty, and took me to very high places. It's a great vape for the price, and now I just need to work out my wpa fitment issue.

What issue were you having with the wpa?

The only things I could possibly think of, are that you aren't removing the end-cap, or that the heater cover is a bit off centre, and the edge of the wpa wont fit between the glass and the metal.

If it's the former, take off the end-cap ;)
If it's the latter, you should be able to move your heater cover around a bit (gently wiggle from side to side/rotate). Eventually you should get it to stay in a better spot.

If that doesn't help, could you show us a pic of the setup as it's not getting a good seal, someone here should be able to figure it out :)
