Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
We won't really know if it is a good first vape till we have it in our hands on it, but my guess would be YES. What vapes have you used before? If you aren't in a rush I would wait till we got our hands on it for reviews.

Welcome to the forum.

I am new to vaporizers, have been researching for a bit now due to living arrangements at the moment that make combustion difficult.

Do you all think its silly for me to start with this vape? I have read a lot about it and am in love with the design and promises from the specs! It's not that I have never vaped before but it just isn't my usual method. Should I start smaller? Its not out of my price range but I just really hope I enjoy it if I spend that much! Any input would be appreciated..(or I may just want someone to tell me YES ;) go for it!)

I almost preordered last night from gotvape, but now after reading some of this thread looks like people think better to buy from DV directly?

Welcome to FC, beepbopb00p! While I don't think it's silly to start with this, it is a yet to be released product, so no one really know the performance for sure just yet(not that many are doubting it). It would benefit to learn some different inhalation techniques, load pack/size, and temperature settings since you are new to vaporizers. It'll be a while longer before the Ascent is out so you could try another vape to learn these things. Enjoy you stay in the wonderful and wacky world of FC and vaporizers!!

Welcome to the forum.

I've only used the volcano and random no name (well no name to me) box shaped ones, and g-pens for oil (is that technically a vape?) no huge rush, might stick it out!

Too bad there isn't a vape workshop I could attend! Guess it will be trial and error for me :) If you were to recommend a starter for someone in my position what would it be?

Before I, or anyone else for that matter, can properly answer that question, we ask that you provide a list/criteria that you want out of a vaporizer. What might those things be?

EDIT: Although it will be better to start such a thread in "Ask FC" instead of here. Just to avoid cluttering up the Ascent thread. ;)

Aside from Davinci_vaporizer, I think I am the only one here who has actually tried an Ascent. Of course there are a lot of things you can't know without using it for a while, but I can tell you this: it will not be a difficult vapourizer for a beginner to learn. If you've already used a box vape then the Ascent will be a piece of cake for you.

Your question about starter vapourizers is off-topic here. Feel free to open a thread in Ask FC. If people start responding here then I can move them into it, otherwise I'll just have to delete off-topic answers.

So does anyone know what size the Ascents glass mouthpiece is? From looking at the pictures I'd guess it's 14mm in diameter, which would be the standard size.
I'm really intrigued by these hydratubes - can they be purchased seperately? Anyone know which shops sell them over here in Europe? Which size would fit the Ascent?

Its 14mm.
Just google hydrotube vaporizer attachments and you can find a few sites selling it for around $100. Its most commonly known with the pinnacle, and i dont think its popular enough yet to the extent where its sold at head shops. I may be wrong but im pretty sure. Regardless, its awesome and will work with the ascents 14mm adapter.

I've asked this question as well. What's kind of weird is that while DV has answered other questions since I asked about this days ago, my question regarding the contest has not been answered. Not quite sure why.
It is getting a bit long on the tooth, as they say, and while I totally understand that the folks over at DaVinci have got their hands full in trying to get their product to market, I do think that it would take an hour at most to go through these posts and pick a winner, or at the very least, give us another update as to when a winner may be announced.

Too much silliness. 20 posts were deleted. No more haiku please.

I know you were having fun but imagine the frustration of someone looking for real information and finding two pages of haiku about, well, nothing relevant to learning about the Ascent. If someone opens a gibberish and waiting thread I will move the deleted posts there.

Also, enough prodding about the haiku contest. I'm sure Davinci_vaporizer got the message.

I know they got the message, Paka. I'm just requesting a bit of feedback from them. I know that they've been great in providing feedback on questions about the product, and even the release date, but for some odd reason, this subject just seems like its verboten (not here, but from DV).

Ok, no more from me...........at least for the next 3 or 4 weeks. ;)

 from Wednesday...
Hey guys, just checking in. Glad to see the optimism on the board as we're working hard to get the Ascent out for you in a perfect state. Just to clarify, it really was just the packaging, but as anyone who met Cort at TYE noticed..he surely is a "fussy perfectionist"! So while waiting for that...he started tweaking buttons. Shouldn't be too long now and I'll keep ya'll updated.

All that work and holdup for packaging and ill be throwing it out the second the ascent comes in. He'll, I may rip the box open like a Christmas present in anticipation.

You wouldn't like it if it came broken due to inadequate packaging.

There is no point in prodding for more information. This company has been top-notch when it comes to keeping us informed. They don't have to tell us anything at all, and sometimes I bet they wished they hadn't. I know for a fact that they consider FC to be a top priority so I'm confident that if there's news, they'll get it to us promptly.

Cortney expressed a lot of gratitude to FC for the input derived from FC. We should return that respect and not pester.

Is it worth it to pre-order the Ascent? I'm seriously considering it, I just hope I don't end up waiting months to get it.
