Yeah...but are we sure that what gotvape is putting out there as "official" dates are actually official. I haven't seen anyone from Da Vinci come on FC and officially tell us that the vapes will be ready in 7-10 days for us or any dealers they will be stocking...

EDIT: I think you mean "pre-registered", as I don't think DV has accepted any pre-orders yet.

I just sent GotVape a lengthy email reply to the promise of 7-10 delivery days and secured my 14mm adapter.

I basically asked them to cut the BS and give us a straight answer. They know they are talking out their ass I know they are taking out their ass and DaVinci has so far not come out with any corroborating statements but also never said anything untrue. I further went in to say I understand about missed deadlines and such and am understanding but felt they were less than honest and that is the part that is most disturbing.

I'm hoping an actual personal reply comes back. I'm really just looking for an acknowledgment that they were wrong. I still want what they are offering. And I like the price. I just don't like empty promises. If its delayed just say its delayed. If its uncertain when it will finally be ready just say that. I'm understanding.

Good for you man...this has been a tough wait for a lot of us. Nonetheless, we have to stay respectful...DV's Facebook page is getting ugly with a lot of unnecessary comments.

No reason to go after DV. THEY kept me informed. GotVape was the weak link and I think it was mostly due to their pride. If they were more transparent in what they were doing I would be upset but more understanding.

All in all it's going to work itself out. And if DV comes through a great deal ahead of GotVape I will cancel my order and go with them. I did Pre-order with DV as well.

i can see it now...a black & white infomercial clip of a frustrated lady trying to roll a blunt with her hair all frazzled & ganja spilling out the ends...then they show an in-color clip of this vape effortlessly being used by little kids...

you forgot the: "wait! but thats not all...if you order now & pay for additional shipping & handling we will double your order...yes, that means 2 vapes for the price of 1!"

People are waaay too black and white about DV. They are either saints for being proactive on this board or scoundrels because of the delays..

I do appreciate that DV has come here to keep the community informed and has solicited feedback on their product. I also can appreciate that with any new product there are infinite number of unforeseen circumstances that can arise, especially given the complications of sourcing and shipping components internationally.

That said, I don't think they are blameless here either - 1. Nobody forced them to publicly provide target shipping dates - so if these dates are missed, some push-back is to be expected.

2. They promised to ship review units last week and as far as I can tell have failed to deliver - this does not jive with "packaging issues"

3. really guys it's that hard to post a 30 second review video filmed on a smartphone? We talking about a 15 minute project here. This is a fairly important point because it helps those that have been waiting patiently and may have to potentially wait a lot longer if they don't get in on the first batch - make an informed decision on whether to keep waiting...

I agree with the first two but how are we suppossed to make a video when it isn't even released yet?

I think he means DV filming a short clip of the units they do have. I'm sure they would rather have a professionally done video to showcase their hard work, as opposed to a shitty cell phone video. Not to mention, if there are any changes, they would want to show only the final release model. Just my :2c:

Well - according to DV the version is finalized - I think I speak for the board when I say that we will gladly watch the video without the packaging...

I think people get too worked up over a piece of tech that they dont have. I can understand frustration and even anger if I had prepaid for it, but I would never do that... Heck ive had trouble with not recieving things that should have been avalible when I paid, but to get upset cause I dont have something I havnt had to pay for and no one else has and I didnt have it at any point before now... Silly

We are all in line together... and when time doesnt exsist... And I gotta go to the bathroom right now... That wait lasts forever!
this, this is nothing like the dmv, walmart checkout, dealing with fast food employees at closing time, mother-in-laws, root canal, ummm salt in a wound with lemon rubbed for 5 min....

I got no problem waiting for this!

The company already put out a video, it is a bit showy and flashy but that's the kind of video a company would put out.

To get the kind of unbiased summary video we want, it needs to get into the hands of regular vaporists but for that to happen the design/packaging has to be finalized...
