Hey guys, I tried searching this thread but I couldn't put together enough keywords to find what I wanted.

Can the Cloud be used in the car? I saw something about Vapexhale not recommending this but I could not find out why.

This is the best course of action to take. Only VXL will be able to properly address your needs. You'll get faster response when employing their proper channels for contact also. The forum isn't really intended to be such.

I remember reading that if someone where to start the car, there would be a dip in voltage/amps causing a "brown out" that would not be healthy for the VXC.

I wonder if a proper Lithium-ion battery would work, like a Paul C. Buff Vagabond

I'm also wondering if it would be a wise investment to purchase a UPS for use with the cloud at home, clean up some of the dirty power.

That will not work. I have one of those (for my photographic equipment) and it did not work on the unit I tested. That unit seems to be best used for activating a mono-flash or studio flash, short duration high energy output. They don't even want you to use modeling lights on that bettery pack. They state: " their power draw would quickly deplete the battery, slow recycle times dramatically, and could overheat the inverter." The same should hold true for the cloud or other vaporizers. I don't recommend it.

i have a small one outlet Surge protector that i keep on my VXC, especially if used in the car. but as said above to not start that auto with the vxc plugged in, I believe SM55 himself fried one of the first 3 beta units in this way.

Key word there is 'probably"...I don't think I would risk it....especially with a 3 month or more wait for repairs or new units.

Depends on how much you like rolling those Cosmic Die...:)

Received my glass mouth piece for my cloud from Vaporizers.ca today. Loving this thing so far! The taste is dramatically better than when using water.

When ever I bring home a new strain I hit it with the dry tube just to get a pure hit of the flavor. If your big into flavor too bro you have to try the swagger showercap. The flavor is almost as intense as it dry.

Alright, I shot this with my phone. I love the Jerome Baker with the cloud but I'm working on my lung strength to get all those trees to fire...but while getting to know the JBD married with the cloud I figured I'll let you guys peek....it's hard to hear but these fucking percs sound like wind chimes, it real cool.

Yes!!!! Your the first to notice it!!! On my VXL Hydrotree 2.0 it does this as well.

Well, after lurking for a while and deciding the Cloud was definitely the unit for me I ordered a little over a week ago. I've had the unit in my possession for almost a week and its not heating up. I found out about the supply/manufacturing issues after I ordered it, and it appears the retailer I ordered it from has a return policy of less than a week. I sent emails to both the manufacture and the retailer, and hope this will be resolved in a timely manner. This was my first vaporizer and I was torn between this and another $500+ unit. I'll reserve judgement until I hear from both companies, but at this point it looks like I'm out of $500 and a working unit, for possibly 3 months. I'm not here to bash, just to make sure people are making informed decisions and hope to update you with good news.
