Charging light turning on for a few seconds before turning off is not a documented problem. In normal circumstances this would indicate a full battery.

Please keep us posted the issue

Charging intermitence when moving the charging cable, may be caused by faulty cable or damaged USB port.
This type of problem may not be solved with lubricant.

I am experiencing the same thing you are... I 1st noticed it with the USB cable in the car the day before but it seemed to charge just fine using the cable it came with but it was just as you have described if I disturbed the cable I would notice the light dimming and going off but if I got it just right it would stay on but just as soon as I set it down... back off it would go.
Now this morning after I finished my walk I returned it the the cable charger it came with and I am now seeing the same behavior.... I too am VERY concerned as this could become fatal.....
I'm thinking about using a little WD40 after all I do live down here in humidity capital of the US but seeing that you are also experiencing it....I'm not expecting that to buy me much of anything.
Listen gs420 can I ask when you received your XP....I'm curious if we are from the same batch...? I got mine from PV mid April 2013. I thought I was apart of the batch that got the newer switches?

Mine was sent out with the first set of replacements not sure exactly when but I don't believe they have sent out any with the new switch yet. That is why they aren't shipping any now because they are waiting on new switches. Also I actually sprayed WD on it hours before this started happening so if anything it is causing the problem not helping it.

You are correct oil didn't have any effect....for me it is the USB port itself.... I have found that a small rubberband placed on the end of the stand off connector with a slight pull downward seems to keep the XP charging for now anyway.....not sure for how long though....
I emailed Greg but he made it sound as though it would have to be sent back to be fixed...I replied asking if there can be any other alternative repair..... offering to better secure or resolder the USB port myself but he made it sound as though they themselves can't even do that because of location and size of the solder joints...... I too am not a fan of the idea of sending my XP back across the border....

How would you feel if instead of booklet, a single sheet of paper was included in boxset?

That works for me. It's a USB vape after all, very likely being charged off a laptop. I prefer lower costs and more eco. It's one of the good things about the internet. Put more of the work into a dedicated website, where you can update us frequently, with a dedicated forum, perhaps a wiki. That makes the most sense to me.

Devastated to report after a little over two months of continuos daily use, my XP has encountered an unrecoverable failure. I was turning it on last night and the switch sounded kind of 'crunchy'. The heating indicator light blinked steady with no increase in interval and then everything shut down. It wouldn't light up, when I plugged it in and turned it on, both lights came on with no heat, and now the charging indicator will only occasionally illuminate. Bummed.

It is very strange that the 04 had only minor problems with only some of us bothering to even return them for the issues. This vape was suppose to be an improvement which it seems to be for some but for some reason riddled with issues. How does a company check one so well and yet the next one they just can't get it right. It is frustrating on both ends...the customer and the company. I hope this gets sorted out really soon for everybody's sake.

That's the way the electronics industry goes for the small fry. You make a killer design and get everything lined up - then suddenly a supplier discontinues and item or changes the design of a component or something like that and your hosed.

Then you have to hurriedly try to modify your design to accept the new components or changes or whatever and it might work out fine but it also might not. Electronics is so exact and precise that a million things could go wrong if you have to change designs. It looks to me like Pharmacor was using a specific switch in the INH04 on the dial (which worked really well in my opinion) and then the supplier either tweaked the design, discontinued it or started to send them batches of switches that were outside the tolerance ranges they designed their product in mind for. There were some post a long while back by Greg mentioning this.

Bigger companies can hold suppliers accountable for this kind of stuff since they can guarantee huge orders in the future and have the legal teams to litigate companies that don't stick to the agreements. But for the smaller companies your pretty much just at the mercy of the suppliers.

I hope Greg or, in my case PV, have an update on when the new batch might begin to ship. I know PV had originally said shipping was expected mid to end of May and in the past 2 weeks have changed that status to the end of May. Understandable given the whole switch issue and whatnot. If it gets pushed back toward the end of April, I may need to start my search for another portable vape. Any suggestions?

I too have been waiting for some time now, several weeks, but I am hanging in there because the inhalater seems to be a champion of portables. But yes the date being changed and delayed repeatedly is understandably upsetting to those who have been waiting..
I am hanging in because I KNOW it's going to be a badass vaporizer and worth the wait!

Best wishes to pharmacor! It must be a stressful situation, one that seems to not be completely in their control due to electronic components...as it stands now I am still being told that units are expected to ship the week of may 26th..it is the 24th right now so perhaps it will come this following week

Also I could be mistaken but I believe they said they would throw in extra capsules for having to wait, though do not quote me on that. I ordered from Kush paradise (waiting for a new sleek white XP to arrive)

I asked Greg when PV would be getting their units and he said they would not be shipping to PV until end of next week or early the following week. I am guessing PV will get some of the first ones but I could be completely wrong on that one.

Well I'm not completely understanding the riddled comment...IME this thing has been an absolute BEAST I love it and so do not want to let it go...I've been on cloud 9 since it's arrival ha ha lol... Yes I'm a bit disappointed that something has gone wrong with my USB port but from what was explained to me it was all about the positioning, which if I were a guessing man was a direct result of a new switch being sized just ever so slightly different.....Tough to catch something like that....especially when everyone out there whats your production up and running.....also Ditto with everything CZ had to say.....

Welcome.... I will tell you that this portable is worth the wait.... I like you was getting impatient waiting for my XP so I ended up buying a VB2 at a LHS and I can tell you that it has gotten very little use once the XP made the scene....and I even bought the DLX glass attachment...very nice but when it is used it is with the XP...... performance performance perrrrrformaaaaance... vapor
The Pax got my attention but could not tear me away from combustion.... VB2 w/DLX very nice and was able to free me from the dark side but I was really having to work at it....way too hard.... the XP however....I simply don't ever want to look back again....ever.....

If you just have to....I would keep my order in with PV and look at either the Cera or the Pinnacle... those were my second's... You can likely tell from my recommendations that I am a fan of the convection style vape....could have bought the Pinnacle that day instead of the VB2 but I was much less informed then back then.....ALSO diggin this forum...... lots to learn here...

Bummer. Well mine was ordered from Kush paradise and I was told that it would be shipping the week of the 26th, but the date keeps changing. I sure hope it will come this following week, my throat is taking a beating from all this combustion haha

It is extremely important in my opinion that the manufacturer continues to keep in touch with their customers and fill them in on any changes..so far Inhalater has impressed me with being so active on the forum and letting us know what's up...

Some sort of estimate on when the units might ship would be great!

Got a new problem last night. After a good days use I plug my XP in to charge and no light if I pull back on the plug a little the light will come on but won't stay on for more than a few seconds.:ugh: I have tried 2 different chargers so I don't think they are the problem and yes I turned it off before plugging it in. The fiddly switch problem I could deal with but no charge = no vape = :(. Hope the improved units will be released soon.

UPDATE - Good news it appears this problem is only affecting the charging light and not the actual chargeing. So I'm still abel to enjoy my XP:)

Hey folks, I've just picked up the Inhalater XP as my first vape, and after about a week or so I have a problem! I stupidly allowed the battery to drain completely, and now the vape will not hold a charge at all.

I first charged it for an hour and tried to use it plugged in with no luck. The heating light would blink rapidly once, then 4 times slowly, then turn off.

I left it charging overnight, until it indicated a full charge. The unit seemed to function normally, but after 1 use, the same thing as noted above happened.

Could this be just a bad battery? If yes, can I replace it myself? I seem to remember there being a video of it up at one point, but I can't find it now.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I would greatly appreciate the extra capsules! Especially since I can't find them to order extra so I am prepared and stocked for when my XP finally does arrive.

What do ya think Greg?

Gonna say my latest XP is still working like a "beast" as someone else here said. We packed .15 G of some killer White Widow as bread with .2+ g of some 70% Big Sur Haze (ice wax/full melt) in the middle of this sandwich. and it was just ridiculous. 2.5+ timer cycles on this capsule before we killed it. I packed this bowl for 4 and it did 2 quite well. The INH doesn't have the thermal mass of a really large desktop vape but if you let it refresh 30-45 seconds it delivers huge pulls.... you can hit it more frequently than that but I'm talking Solo+ size rips.

and super thanks to JamBandPhan for the posts on the Pinnacle WT. I don't own a PT. But I bought one of these and I've got to say its cool. Its a little pricey. Kinda of like a small laptop. guess you are paying for form factor.

Used a cloud more than few times and always use my FC special edition lattice perc with the INH here but tonight I'm rocking the Pinnacle WT. Dunno why TheRealVaporBlunt wont sell these. He posted these ebay pieces were 2n'd but I read that a few days ago and inspected it and it seems consistent with other glass I own. Its not perfectly straight like a molded product but its thick, its clear, it straight inside and out within reason. The glass is ground well on the gong connection.

Its not a cheap piece by any means and the diffusion is what you might expect from a small unit but it works well for such a small piece and it appears thick and sturdy. Time will tell.

For size comparison its just slighltly larger than an INH. ~4mm wider and -6mm SHORTER than the the INH XP with CAP. With the Cap, the WT appears taller but its not once the cap is applied to the XP.

Time to find a cool case for these....

Oh yeah and I'm using one of the tips from the XP with My Thermo Essence Water Pipe adapter from my Thermovape T1. Highly recommened for $15. I believe it comes in 18mm too.

I do believe they are out of stock on planet vape, but if you go on ebay KP has the inhalater xp capsules in stock.
Can't wait for this beast to arrive!

Hey frothi! Or someone else who could comment..how does this thing handle Kief? Could I pack a whole bowl of Kief from a coffee grinder lid?

Globally the issues related to the XP vs 004 are due profound technology change. XP is closer to a new product than an upgrade

whatsahoya: the 5 blinks before shutdown is related to computer not detecting heat while on. This is generally caused by a broken lead to the heating element. This may not be resolved locally. We apologize for the incovenience. Please contact us directly here

Yes, we offer a complementary pack of capsules to eligible XP owners when available.
