what the fuck, meremoth? stay away from me!

Now go get yourself a $50 vapor genie and learn how to use that like I did when my E died back in the day. Once you get your technique down you will never get rid of it.

Damn, my condolences to those experiencing faulty Clouds. All I can say is the second one coming around is gonna kick your ass!!! Unless this is your second or third faulty Cloud, in which case I have to say best of luck...!!!

Well, I bought my cloud right around the time mere and live n learn bought there's, If not the same exact day. My cloud has been chugging along but have only used it about 10-12 times max. A little worried if I got a cloud from the company VX was using that screwed them and quality control was subpar.

However, Few updates for all my cloudy folks:
Invest in some simply green; I use a SMALL tubaware container that's filled with simply green and when I'm done vaping an ELB and it's empty, I drop it in there. Everytime my ELB come out sparkling new with no work needed.

This may be obvious but the cloud severely increases your tolerance. Used my SSV today because I had a better grasp of the cloud & missed Betsy. I was medicated but not nearly as much as I am with the cloud and with such minimal effort. I had to recall my pull method to get the hit I desired rather than just pulling however, whenever.

Nevertheless, my skeptism caused me to secure a solid backup just in case my cloud will die at such a young age like the rest of my peeps. Another cloud!! Good ol ticker model that I'm pretty excited to test! That deal Jam had in the classifieds was like a black Friday deal. I Gave it some time to see if any of you guys would jump on it due to your unfortunate circumstances but my impulse buy problem was itching like thirty mosquito bites on my ankle!

Think I secured the best back up for my needs and hope the rest are back in the clouds soon...Cheers!

PS. Where did you guys purchase your units that have failed? Bought mine from EZvapes

I fixed your Cloud pic, lreindl. It looked like the Cloud was going to fall over and that really bothered me for some reason.

Nevertheless1090... I think you made the smart move. I did the exact same thing a while ago (bought an out of warranty Cloud in the Classifieds) and I'm glad that I did. My original unit never failed, but I did send it in for a Plus replacement/upgrade and it was gone for about 3-4 weeks. I was very glad to have had a backup because a month without my Cloud would've been tough on me for sure.

I put two thin cardboard slices on the top of my cloud (after cutting a hole in the center of them for the gong joint) and it got me a better seal on the Ion...even denser hits than before! For any Cloud/Ion users out there who, like me, were just setting it on top...check the seal and see if it can get better.

How does it make it better Sticks? Can you take a picture? It seems counter-intuitive to me, so I'd like to visualize it.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
OK, I love the Cloud as much as the rest of you but I have to say I wouldn't buy one right now from any existing stock. Its almost certain to be from the problem source. All these Cloud+ failures at or about the same time seems pretty indicative of a more widespread problem.

Now I have the luxury of saying that, because although I've just had a one month old Cloud+ fail I still have my original Cloud that's now on month 11. I had promised to sell it to a friend after giveing the new Cloud+ a month or so shakedown. When it failed a month to the day I told him sorry, but I'm keeping my original. I bought the upgrade for it a while back, but haven't gotten around to sending it in...thank goodness.

One odd thing I've noticed is the Cloud+ gong seems to have a smaller ID since all my ElBs are now loose in my original Cloud. Its actually kind of a problem as I favor using my Cloud inverted on my Matrix Ion and a couple of times the ELBs have slipped out and dropped down into the water. But as problems go, not a biggie. At least I still have a working Cloud

Yeah i'd also like to see a pic of what you mean, wondering if i can do something
similar with my reti but i don't completely understand your method haha.

EDIT: Actually i've been thinking about it now and i get what you mean.
Kinda surprising to me if that makes that big a change though?
I might try it myself. You should put up a comparison video lol.

I'm in the same boat. There is most definitely a Cloud in my future, but the failure rate still seems too high at this stage. I'm happy to wait until all the bugs are smoothed out.

Its also because I'm living inbetween Australia and Kenya(!), and sending units back and forth for repair/replacement would be an enormous pain in the ass.

I'd be interested to know if any of the failing Clouds have signs that they were hand built by the VapeXhale team, rather than factory produced by the unscrupulous manufacturers?

Am I right in thinking that the units with the misaligned halves, little scratches etc, are all still going strong? I know mine (like all of the International units I've seen) has these signs and I haven't had any problems.

It is my understanding that the original models were all hand built/assembled by the Vapexhale crew.

It sucks that the manufacturer sabotaged their device, allegedly. As long as it works, the Cloud was in a league of its own, I feel like I just had a trial version of it. So after going crazy, I put myself in VXH shoes and thought once your demand goes up, you cant really do what you once did take the time and love to make each unit the way you intended, but rather put your baby in the hands of a stranger. I dont have kids but that makes not want to have a babysitter. And worst then a baby, my Cloud is dead. /Cloud Widow

My faulty model was purchased through Vapornation.

Mine was from Puff It Up.

So I guess the original ticker units were just way better made? It'd be interesting to see the difference in the failure rate between the ticker units and the pluses. What was the advantages of the pluses again?

Does anyone have a plus unit, that was purchased at the start of this year, that's still going strong?

My faulty one had the misaligned halves.

Were the international ones made by a different manufacturer than the standard ones?

I'm really starting to think that not only did they do the things SM said, but they also purposefully made shitty units to be dicks. If I could get my hands on those people, the things I would do...

How many different manufacturers have VX had and at what times? Didn't he said they've had two? So when did it go from them hand-making them, to the next manufacturer, to the next? Or has there only been one?

Let's try to pinpoint when everything went so horribly wrong.

I fucking miss my Cloud so f'in bad. I'm going to get justice for all the fallen Clouds. I'm going to play detective. Like a mixture of Monk and that dude from The Shield.

I hope VX drops a class action lawsuit on these m'f'ers. That's right, class action. They've emotionally scared an entire community of Cloud lovers, and I think they deserve to pay, TO PAY FOR WHAT THEY'VE DONE TO US.

I do; it was purchased from another FC member. Think they'd gotten it sometime in January. No performance issues so far.

I don't think vapexhale will be dropping any class action lawsuits.
Who knows what exactly went on between them and the manufacturer.
My international cloud is working fine however i am wondering
if mine was one of the poorly made clouds by this manufacturer.
I must assume so..

My Cloud backup is a miniVAP! It's such an awesome backup, that the Cloud often ends up as my miniVAP backup!
My Cloud backup to my Cloud backup is a MiniVAP (and is also my preferred unit for out and about and if I get a working unit with battery this week finally then it will probably be my primary vape all summer long at the cottage ... had my backup Cloud with me in the shed at the lake this past weekend ...)

I'm with you though ... the MiniVAP is the only vaporizer out of the >20 I've owned that compares to the Cloud in ability to medicate and deliver lots of large clouds in a short duration.

Got the "official" response from VapeXhale about my Cloud+ death/repair. 3 months at least (then transit and repair time). Unfortunately they're too busy to keep me updated. If I want to know what's going on I have to monitor their pages on one of the High School media websites. Guess they're not even admitting to problems on their own website. Also nothing about extending warranty periods for the time that they are down.
Even once they are up and running again there will have to be time for some debugging, kinks worked out and testing of the new units.

Kind of reminds me of a couple of years ago at about this same point in the year when we were wondering/hoping they'd have the Cloud out by Christmas.
