So sorry about multiple posts. The button is stuck on still with nipple barely above the end. Hercules isn't even in yet. I'm not forcing anything, just twisting lightly with 2-3 fingers. Both worked fine until hercules was screwed on and they both must have smoked, but I only noticed the smoke come from the double. The single just smelt like burnt plastic.

I contacted warranty website, ebay seller, and delta9. I shall see tomorrow

Great to hear they took care of you. It's been from December 1st when I asked for help until May 20th (today) to get a replacement unit. Thats 10 days short of 6 months to get a replacement. I dont wish that on anyone.

Order Date: 16th Oct 2012
Your Order Contains: 1 x Hercules Oil and Herb Chamber
7 Months for my first one.
I have 2 on order.
This week I have been using one of my HERCULES with a water path with POLLEN PELLETS only before bed. It makes me sleep very deep.
ONLY TWO RIPS:

POLLEN PELLET:

1 gram ground flowers
.4 gram reclaim of a failed cart (my FAULT)
0.6 gram TAFFY (Strong Wax with excellent flavor however too Sticky to work well in carts).
The current HERCULES works well with this type of material. (I will try some 3/4 MELT HASH)
Of course its not completely corrected however I am using it for a purpose.
Turning medicine failures into useful sleeping aids is all I'm doing.
The HERCULES V2 will be the long awaited accessory to load up on the good old BLOND BRITTLE or SHATTER in the tanks as a daily driver.

So you had a problem with yours and it took THC 7 months to do a warranty repair? That's even worse than how my situation was handled.

ru_frothie:
All 5 of my PERSEI heads work fine. (NO PROBLEMS)
Sorry my HERCULES is all I was referring to.
Anticipation is all I'm expressing.
I'm using the HERCULES even if it's not ready.
Hopefully you will be squared away.

Kind regards,
ataxian

Where are you located? If you're in the Bay Area I can help get you sorted out otherwise I would open a ticket on w9tech.com. You have a short in the head and it needs to be replaced.

Could it be the Hercules since the double was fine until I twisted it on to try? I bought off eBay, is that ok or should I wait for the eBay seller

I hate to say it, but their is a reason things are so cheap on eBay. Not only does it not work, but now you have no warranty unless you buy the $60 warranty upgrade.

Nah, it comes with a 90-warranty through another website if you register in within a week. I'm just sending both of these back for exchange, so I don't have to explain to the ebay seller the same thing twice lol.. I have to pay return shipping on these, but hope this is refunded since these items are faulty and being exchanged for new ones. I really want both these products being I searched for a long time before I decided. I will video the entire thing next time just in case.

Good for you. When I said no warranty I meant through D9V. It's rare that you get a truly honest eBay seller. Sounds like you got lucky.

Yeah, unfortunately this all was a huge let down. I skipped college classes and could barely sleep waiting for this thing to get here, I was so excited...lol..Oh well everything is in the mail; hopefully things go smoothly this time around.

@ataxian - can you quit posting so many giant pictures of the same stuff? Or at least resize them so I can browse this forum on my phone without it taking forever to load the same bubbler and 'pellet' pictures. Don't read it the wrong way. I love pictures, but variety is the spice of life... oh yeah, and smaller

I've been using PHOTOBUCKET.
Maybe I should just edit pictures in PHOTOSHOP to reduce size.
Sorry I was just stoked that the POLLEN PELLETs WORK.
I'll try and stay off!
Sorry!

Sorry!

Try http://imgur.com/ and you can choose smaller file sizes.

Glad to hear the pellets are working...now you need a bigger herc and bigger pellets!

Thanks for the site.
Photobucket seems to use too much band width.
I really want the V2 HERCULES.
For now I have found a way to use it until it's improvements are released.
I slept for 8 hour after a POLLEN PELLET session.

Look Into My Eyes
is there a difference in the standard (non-updated) persei top vs the hammer top EXCEPT the button on/off? Being if the old persei top (non-updated circuits) with the 1200F hammer would it create any issues?

I have yet to fill out a Tops replacement ticket with D9, both my tops blue rings randomly turn on and wont go off... every so often. As ive been afraid to send them both back(left with no tops) and they cant replicate the randomly occurring blue ring being lit. Truly random, like laying in bed and see the ring dimly lit. Its happened three times or so in the last 6 months, with 2 occurring in the last 2/3 months.

A question for DubC, THC Scientific, or anyone else in the know:

Are there different generations of 1.5ohm carts out there? My understanding was that the 1.5 released after the Persei so as to give more options to those using an Omicron or Ophos, but was that initial wave improved upon?

I ask because I've recently been directed to a local shop to buy my cartridges, but have had the absolute worse experience with their batch. There is little to no production, even after a very gentle fill session, along with a nice prime.

At first I thought I had a lot more to learn, but then a buddy of mine gave me back a cart I gave him to try out (he never touched it) that I had received from D9. Filled it with the left over .5 that I didn't want to waste in the faulty carts using the same time consuming caution and I was blown away like a cow in a tornado. Vapor was produced in the ways I have come to expect, Nibbler X helped cool it down to a thick, tasty cloud.

Comparing the 1.5's (two faulty, one amazing) I find that the one from D9 seems a little shinier, and has a seemingly wider bridge holding the flue.

I am really disappointed with the two faulty 1.5's and the embarrassing 2.4. For some reason, even though there is no considerable production of vapor, & no leaks, when weighing them out, I find I somehow burned through .3 wax when I barely got a decent hit! Where is it all going?

JFC, Hercules needs to get here already.

Also, has there always been a little wiggle room in the threads? When I screw on a cart, there's enough room for the cartridge to tilt at an angle while being screwed in so that it's crooked. I have to carefully screw it on so that it's standing up straight. I feel like this can be reason so many of my carts have been disagreeing with me.

Where did you get your carts other than D9? I recently noticed a change in the bridge being used(wider openings for better fill?) but I'm not sure if anything else has changed. Can you elaborate on the differences? I'll try to edit in some pics tomorrow of the different bridges. Can you post pics of yours too?

Is your cart not threading properly or is the entire screw housing in the top crooked? If the housing is crooked it probably got torqued with a cart on it. If its the cart alone I would clean the threads on your top and cart and see if that helps. Give it a looking over for anything out of place or that looks odd.

I bought my last batch of carts:

http://www.delta9vapes.com/products.php?product=5-pack-Extract-Cartridges-2.4-ohm-for-3.7v

The deliver was less than 48 hours.
My treads are always straight.
I know you don't use the 2.4V carts however they are powerful efficient no brainer items for my needs.

I want to try a 1.5 to see what I might be missing?
http://www.planetvape.ca/vaporizer-extract-cartridge-single.html
I buy some of my glass adapters from them so I'll just through in a cart to try on my next order.

It cost more to just buy one. For a couple of dollars worth a try.

Use approved dealers!

What is the website/company attached to the eBay listing? Do you mind posting what you paid for it? Why eBay and not a direct order?

The ebay seller is "wesellresell408" and they are selling Persei kit for $159.99 with delta9 warranty

I actually found out about the LHS through D9V; gave them a call to see if there were any retailers in my area carrying carts and I believe it was Naomi who found The Funky Monkey for me. Yeah the bridge is definitely different on the D9V-sourced cartridge. The writing and everything else looks the same, but it's looking at the bridge and flue that let's me know the 1.5's from Funky Monkey may be a different gen. Again, the biggest difference is that, even when filled gently and patiently, the 1.5's from Funky Monkey just wasted oil while not producing an equivalent amount of vapor.

I really wish I could post pics, but my cell is on vacation in a bag of rice and my 5Dmk.II was stolen last Saturday. If my cousin comes by today, I'll be able to.

As to the threading, I'm certain it's not the carts themselves. I've got four in total atm, including the 3 poor performers. Each of them exhibits the same amount of play when screwed on to my single top, and, on the double top, each exhibits less than half of the wiggle room compared to the single top. The housing on the single doesn't appear to be crooked, and the threading in it does not appear to be warped or different from the two on the double top.

Cleaned these furiously with no success. Do you happen to know if there's a D9V rep here in SD? It'd be great to have someone in the know nearby to give my unit a once over, maybe show me what I might be doing wrong. I always see people saying the 2.4's are excellent, but I have only had one that worked well. The others produced wisps and not clouds.

If there isn't an SD rep, and you guys are in need, I would be happy to help out given an expert from D9V not only shows me the ropes but how to tie them.

As of May, 8 they are still working on things. No set date for the parts to repair the V1 Hercs yet.

What do you mean repair? Should I even get V1 then? I just mailed it back for exchange yesterday...I'm mainly doing herb, but my solo can hold me over for now if it's not worth it.
