Hey guys done a lot of reading on here and very new to concentrates and never made any so had a couple questions.

Can't find 99% iso is 91% okay or will that not work/ make noticeably different outcome?

Also does it matter which method of evaporating alcohol I use between using a fan/ using warm dark place for a few days/ using hot bath?

Last one( don't know much about concentrate) is this healthy to smoke(or vape) or any worse then vaping bud? is sounds a bit sketchy to me.

for the alcohol % I know 91 percent will work but I meant to ask other than longer evaporation time is 99 any better. and still wondering if evaporation method matters other than time.

I use 91% on my ABV runs(still improving technique) and hot water evaporation. So far, everything has been well, although not up to my standards, so I've just unloaded the oil on a friend :D .

A soak(with vigorous shaking) no longer than 30 seconds and proper filtering seem to be key elements when it comes to QWISO extractions. Refrigeration of the material and ISO before and after your run should improve end product quality.

Thanks for the advice vaporeyes. I know to put herb and iso in freezer before to help freeze unwanted stuff and for better run but I'm curious why you put it in after the run. Also a lot of people do multiple runs with bud but I'll be using abv and was wondering wouldn't 1 run for 30 seconds get just about most of the goods or would a second run be worth anything?

The reason for the second refrigeration is to ensure all waxes and other impurities have been removed as best they can be. I don't think a second run on your ABV would be worthwhile. You'd just wasting ISO at that point.

Yea I didn't think a second run would be worth anything. You do the second refrigeration after evaporation right?

OK Just so I'm completely sure I can just buy some 99% ISO from ebay and that'll be good to go? Or does it have to be a specific/special type?
