Random encounter with another vaporist

Felt like starting a random thread.
Bonsoir,

I was driving back from work , using my pax , then i heard someone honking at me on the left side .
i look , and there was a guy in the other lane waving his pax at me!
This was so random but damn funny !

Have you ever had a random encounter with another vaporist ?

Few years ago I hiked to Cedar Creek Falls in San Diego county. Around 5 mi hike.
When we got to the waterfalls there were at least a dozen people, including some young children.

Luckily I had brought the ultra-stealthy Iolite! Me and a friend were vaping when a guy walked by and murmured "iolite yeeeaa" and I responded back with a "yeeeea" + thumbs up

I wrote a couple years ago in the Magic Flight thread about driving down the highway using my LB. You have to hold it a certain way to be stealth, and it's pretty obvious to anyone who's used one. I looked over and saw a truck driver with his hand in the exact same position and knew at once he was using an LB too. I honked and waved.

The way your hand is held while using the LB is now called the Magic Flight salute. :D

The Devil's Punchbowl!! Yes!! Too bad they closed it for a while after that kid died (again...) but apparently it's been reopened with some sort of permit thing now. Might make a trip up there this weekend, who knows, nice Sunday afternoon with some friends and then go get some pies after :brow:

While driving down the highway on the east coast about a year ago -- a VapeWorld distributor van slowly crept up on my right. Excited, I pulled out my Launch Box and started honking and waving like a madman. He smiled and gave me the thumbs up, and then motioned for me to pull over. I did, we chatted -- And he gave me two acrylic grinders, and a blemished 3.5" 2 pc Space Case grinder, and some VapeWorld merchandise. What a nice guy!

I'd venture to bet that the same interaction would not have occured had I honked and waved at a Bud Light truck :)

A VapeWorld distributor van!? I thought those were brown with the letters "UPS" painted on the side. One of us is clearly not in the mainstream. Cool!

On a little less light hearted side I've had encounters for the last few years when ever I've been in the Hospital [they usually stick me on the oncology ward] there seems to always be a mflb or two . Ten years ago it would have been dugouts and protopipes.
