Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Just got some really bad news from VXL. It seems they had to axe their current manufacturer and are currently looking for a new one. But in the mean time they are basically building units by hand again and they anticipate being back up and running in 3 months time!!! Damn so I guess I need to wait 3 months just to send in my faultly cloud. Thank god it still kind of works otherwise I would be really pissed!! Not that I could do anything about it, it still sucks. Just a heads up for anyone looking to buy a cloud or get their's repaired.

We are very sad to inform you that we recently had to part ways with our manufacturer due to irreconcilable differences and regretfully must notify the forum that we are completely out of inventory as well as parts to repair a defective VapeXhale Cloud.

Legally, we have been advised to keep the details under wraps but the Cliff Notes version is that we have reason to believe that the manufacturer didn't put their best effort into assembling our product and have taken our future designs and given it to a competitor.

We have had a string of bad luck with our last few manufacturers but this was the first time where we encountered malicious intent. Any momentum we gained since winning the Cup in Feb, as well as placing in all categories at the Colorado Cup have been derailed by this. This was supposed to be the final hurdle before VapeXhale could begin scaling our operations, hiring more full time staff, and introduce new, cutting edge vaporization products.

Instead, we are back to square one and picking up the pieces of this aftermath. The units that our team built ourselves are all units that are functioning properly with the correct temperature range. Because of this, we are now looking for a new location where we can bring ALL the manufacturing in house and do all of our own QC so that each and every customer gets a positive experience with us.

We're not asking for any sympathy or compassion in this situation, we just ask for some understanding. We have a small team here that is working for pennies on the dollar and we are all working 24/7 to ensure that the last 3 years of hard work don't get flushed down the drain because one person decided it would be better to bury us than do business with us. Luckily, we have a proven product and many investors who are ready to help chip in to get us back to full strength and then some.

This was/is very depressing news for me to experience but we've already come so far with our vaporizer that we cannot let this die. Thanks again for all of your support and we will be doing weekly updates on our Twitter and Facebook pages as well to keep everyone in the loop.

Oh I didn't think you guys had any control over it, but I didn't know it was that bad with the manu. I wish you guys all the luck and hope you get up and running very soon.

I find it very odd the location where my cloud stained. It is literally on the level where the aperture of the bamboo narrows. There is certainly space between the bottom of the ELB and that spot so it's not the screen staining. It's obviously on the top section which is pre-elb meaning that air has not actually come in touch with weed to create an oil stain yet. And, although my weed is decent I can assure that mother fucker ain't dripping!

Hey I know this is an old post and some people offered theories about the cloud being upside down in a waterpipe causing this, but I think there is a simpler explanation.

I always got that dark hash-oil like residue below the level of my ELBs even before I ever inverted the cloud. It's much more apparent with super dank flowers, but here is what happens:

1) You vaporize some nice flowers
2) Some small amount of the THC turns to liquid and gets on the ELB, and some leaks through the ELB to the bamboo. This is why the overall male joint tends to turn kind of brownish over time.
3) Then whenever you insert/resinsert the ELB, you are mechanically pushing down some of the residue to just below the level of the ELB. Over time it accumulates to a point where it can drip further down the bamboo if you let it.

Further evidence of this is that ELBs will get a glass like residue buildup around the bottom parimeter where the ELB is the widest. That's whats causing such a great seal between the ELB and glass, and pushing even more resin down. So once both the ELBs and Bamboo get a little coated, things get dirt much faster from there. This is why its a good idea to clean the bamboo frequently.

I just spent all weekend not using my cloud because it took forever to clean. I used limonene and a metal scraper but eventually got it clean.

My buddys cloud arrived at Vapex last Tues for repair of a broken heater, he had sent it in before and it was not properly fixed the first time. He just received an email from Vapex saying to expect a 3 month wait for his repair. I feel so bad for him, and can only be thankful that my ticker is fully functioning. Hope this recent turn of events does not hurt a great company that we have all come to know and love.

I just recently (yesterday) purchased a Cloud from PuffItUp. Is there anyway of knowing who made the ones they have and whether or not they are the ones functioning properly with the correct temperature range?

Anywoot, you guys can't give up. You have, by all accounts, made one of the greatest vaporizers ever, with both the connoisseur and the regular joe in mind, and have changed the game permanently. Some people even hail it as life-changing.

As much as people praise the Cloud on these forums, I'm sure you guys could find some support here on FC. There's probably even some lawyers on here that could offer legal support/advice/counsel.

Anyway, you guys shouldn't look at this as starting all over, but more like a roadblock. Winning best product twice and creating a cult following in less than a year is nothing to shake a stick at.

Just wanted to say that I have not combusted since getting my cloud+ 3 weeks ago. For me that is a pretty impressive time span considering before my cloud i smoked b loads all day every day. I have owned numerous vapes over the years many of which I read about on this very site, and none of which could keep me from combusting....i absolutely love my cloud and only wish I had purchased one sooner. So for anyone out there that has always enjoyed using glass and never could stick with vaping the cloud is the answer! You get all the benefits of vaping and still get the satisfaction of milking a nice piece of glass as if you were just smoking a bowl.

I like to load an ELB 1/3 to 1/2 full, have the dial around 130-2. I feel like this combo gets me the biggest clouds, my friends were truly amazed by it and don't even get me started on how good it tastes....so in short I love my cloud and don't see the point in having any other home vape unless it's another cloud. Off to go enjoy a few ELBs!

Wow that really says mountains about the "cloud+" I have been reading and reading trying to decide on a home unit. I am reasonably new to the whole vape scene although I did have a brief brush with vaping in my past it was as many have said to me "unimpressive". A Christmas visitor and his Pax got me to take a closer look....then the VB2.0 offered me a bit more and pulled me in but what sealed the deal for me was the INH XP..... DONE I'll never go back.... ha ha ha strong words as I rolled over on that as soon as the VB2.0 died and I was too new to have a back up {none of my friends ..Yet}..... any who...

I have my eye on the all mighty Cloud + but damn that all mighty price + tag to boot...lol then the EQ caught my attention price point and look at all the cool stuff so jump over to that thread... then Sticks mentions the Vap2.0 and how great its flavor is, so jump over there for a while ... my freakin head is spinning like a top.

I got a replacement VB2.0 and have tried to treat it as my home unit as I like the idea of giving my XP a break when I'm at home {preserve her life span} but the VB2 even w/DLX package just can't perform like the XP can so I find myself in need of something at home that can compare or should I say hold its own next to the XP.

I'd be very grateful if someone whom has both a cloud and an XP could chime in as I try to further convince or justify the VapeXhale + CASH $$..... Some of the CS stories are a bit concerning but then I am now seeing a few more positive postings.... when one shells out the + $$ for what is professed to be the Rolls Royce of vaporizers...one might begin to expect customer service + ....OMG too funny but has anyone thought to ask for a rental while there cloud {RR} was being repaired?

Yes, we have been investigating this for quite some time and made sure that the units sent out to our distributors were working correctly. If for whatever reason you have an issue, we have your back.

I have the cloud and the xp and I'll tell you the cloud is definitely worth the money. If you like big hitters then the cloud is where it's at. The nice thing about the cloud IMHO is that you can use it with water or without, you can fill with just flowers or add kief, or you can vape kief all by itself. You can even do dabs out of the cloud!! It is so versatile!! Plus for friends you don't have to explain anything but "suck" and you can fill and fill and fill and it will keep up with you the whole way.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply. :)

And to me it sounds like you have a strong legal case in your favor.

If push comes to shove, you have quite a few people here that also have your back. I'm down to kick some ass if need be.

This is very true. But I did have a group of friends over recently, and one of them was totally new to vaporizers. I loaded an ELB, and told him to just "suck". He stared at it for a second and I walked a few feet away. When I turned around he was still starring at it and hadn't hit it yet. I asked him why he wasn't hitting it and he replied "I can't figure out where you light it.":uhoh:

Your theory may be correct, but I actually ISO clean my male joint (giggity) every day or so. Any thoughts on that dude?

And, what exactly is limonene? I'm really interested.

Thanks for your help

i think i overmedicated.
Do any of you Cloud Owners have a Mothership Torus Recycler or Faberge Egg? I'm curious how they would function with the cloud. Thanks in advance :)

Bummer to hear SM55, you guys will pull through....I can't wait to see what VXL can come up with when you don't have to worry about manufacturing issues and can put your energy into R&D. The Cloud amazes me every time I take a hit...my friend was just over and completely in shock that we didn't have to stir any of the bowls.

D-Limonene is actually a terpene that is naturally occurring in cannabis. Tetra labs uses it as the thinning agent in their oil. Because its so similar to thc, it dissolves it very fast compared to iso. It's called citrus solvent to some. It's usually extracted from orange peels via centrifuge or steam distillation.

Daily cleaning with iso is great. its actually the best thing if you are caught up and just doing a quick clean because it leaves no residue, but I find a bit of limonene helps dissolve really caked resin that iso won't touch. I think with your daily bamboo cleanings you are forgetting that you'd have to daily torch all the ELBs for it to rule out the fact that its simply the ELBs adding to that lower resin ring inside the glass joint. Look closely at the area where the seams on the mesh are.... Filled with resin on all my used ELBs.

Limonene is useful compared to Iso in some cases because it doesn't mix with the water, it floats on top. You can take advantage of this by using water, 1-2ml of limonene and 'agitation' to clean any pipe. For instance it instantly cleans the hard to reach spots on my hydratubes when I dip the HT into a cup of water with a very small film of limonene on the surface. The limonene coats the insides then makes further rinse with warm water and iso 10x more effective so that you use less alcohol and barely any limonene. This is also how I clean my Dave Goldstein Frits without using tons of alcohol.

Does anyone have any opinions on the 2.0 line of hydratubes?

I have an original straight hydracirc I picked up from BM a while ago, so I'm kinda on the fence as to which I should pick up when I get my Intl cloud...

So the VXL ones have a removable mouthpiece (which would allow for double stacked awesomeness :brow:), and vertical slits on the tree.
While the swagger and Evolver both have fixed mouthpieces.
Aside from that, I can't see any major differences between the various 2.0 models, so I was hoping someone who has more than one can chime in :)

And it looks like there's a bit of a pricing bug on the site, the Evolver HydraTree is showing up for sale on it's own at "bundled with the cloud" prices.

Oh, also, have Cloud Buddies always been $50?
I coulda sworn they were $30, but I guess I was wrong about that :p

Swaggers:
-Non umbrella overflow guards.
-Showercaps and doubles
-Different proportions compared to Evolvers and VXLs
-Trees are reinforced - bottoms of arms are connected to the base. This is imo boosting durability and looks of these trees.
-30 slits on circs
-Pair of slits on each arm, ?7 arms?

Evolvers:
-Probably the nicest looking, clean seals and perfect proportions.
-They just seem to me very similar to VXL with the difference of thicker/fixed mouthpiece and better finish.
-20 slits on circ
-7 pairs of slits on tree

VXLs:
-have been already compared to Evolvers
-7? vertical slits on trees
-My circ is 15 slits

That is all I can think of comparing these. SSFG has not been compared as it seems completely different to me. Also I have experience only with a VXL Circ.

I forgot to ask...

I assume when you say you're "completely out of inventory" this includes all glassware as well, so is there any distributors that have any hydratubes? Like I said before, I just recently ordered a Cloud from PuffItUp and didn't see any HT's on their site, and assumed if I ever wanted a HT I could just order one from you guys, which doesn't seem possible now, or at least for three months.

Also, this is a question for anyone - what is the most durable HT? Durability/glass strength is my #1 concern with the HT's, and I want which ever one is the most durable/least likely to break.

This reeks of theft of intellectual property! I smell potential litigation here, seems unavoidable.

Personally i'd consider getting a swagger or a mobius piece.
Vapexhales pieces really only work on the cloud but if you got a swagger piece for instance you'd be able to use it for smoking and vaping (and dabbing ;) ).
I was heaps skeptical about the vapexhale but it legit blew me away.
My friends who would never take vape over smoke EVER have all gone many nights without cones
because they found the cloud so satisfying.

It does have some weird kinks to it like being hot to the touch, short cord, controlling knob is too far out so my friends always knock it and we end up never being able to keep the exact right temp, temp dials are hard to see and temps are unclear, etc. But i truly believe this vape outshines any other vaporizer i've used when it comes to hitting from a glass piece.
(My experience includes, volcano classic, arizer extreme q, magic flight box, etc)

This is really old but i was looking back at this and i meant to say sovereignty for everytime i said "Swagger" total bakeout! hahaha

Well that's good news. :D

Also, do you have to buy the HT's directly from you guys, or do any of your distributors have HT's?

And now I just need to figure out which one is the most durable/least likely to break. I have had very bad luck with glass in the past, so durability is the most important factor for me when it comes to buying glass, above look, flavor, style, price, etc.

So, what do you guys consider the most durable HT?
