The Pinnacle by Vaporblunt

Now that I've used my Pinnacle for almost 2 months, I'd like to give my final :2c: about suggestions for a possible PRO model.

1. Ability to use while charging
2. Either 4 or 5 temp. settings 4: 370, 390, 410, 430. 5: 370, 385, 400, 415, 430.
3. Battery life indicator links with temp. lights 1=25%, 2=50%, 3=75%, 4= 100% 1=20%, 2=40%, 3=60%, 4=80%, 5=100%
4. Battery life of 60 minutes on highest temp.
5. Improved mouthpiece
6. Some way to keep the herb from "floating up" to the mouthpiece

The improved battery life may be the most difficult. Presently, the Pinnacle is rated at 50 minutes battery life. From my experience, that means 50 minutes on LOW temp. If the PRO model could achieve 60 minutes on the highest temp that I've suggested (430F) and its respective dimensions (length and diameter) increase by no more than say 1/2 inch in each direction, I think the slight increase in size would be worth it for that kind of battery life. Maybe Engineer can comment on that issue if he has time.

All great ideas. Battery increase is unlikely, we have no space to expand. Also the only improvement to the MP will be if we decide to make it come with pong instead (seems most people prefer this way), other than that I think I can accommodate.

Not that I do oils and love what I have, but to put my :2c: in I think you should use a different material for the mouth piece.

Chronie, you vape at 430 really? I know I am a medium temp vapor person but that just says ouch to me even through water.

No, but some medical users find they don't get the full spectrum/amount of cannabinoids at the PN's present temps (370 & 390). For me, these temps work just fine, but for night time use, sedation, calming of anxiety, couch lock, etc. those higher temps would be useful in addition to extracting even more than it already does. I picked 430F as the upper limit because even if the PN's heater were to vary by as much as 10 degrees, one would be guaranteed of getting all the necessary cannabinoids in sufficient quantity. Personally, I'd be happy with a top temp of 415-420. :science:

I'd like to add that the power button is an issue. It turns on too easily with an accidental bump that drains the already short life battery. Do it a couple times in a night and forget about being able to use it for those 45 minutes.

DIY Pinnacle ButtonBlocker:

Note: If this is tl;dr jump to Supplies and Directions sections below:

First, I want to compliment the design and build on this vape! IMHO, the PN with the HydroTube is a very impressive combination!; as my very first vape, it it has dramatically increased my enjoyment of my herbal blends! Well done VaporBlunt Team!

Second, while the recessed button is adequately protected from accidental "pushes", I wanted to add an additional "safety" to prevent any accidental firings. This is especially important for stealth IMO, because the first heating often results in the strongest scents. Therefore, an accidental heating could expose your stealth, waste your battery, and it may also waste your bullet (I started a heating by accident, and without my knowledge; the unit heated and shut-down automatically. When I re-fired it later; it tasted bad and it was much less enjoyable. Therefore, I designed a relatively simple and inexpensive solution that you guys and gals might appreciate.

* The clear Velcro cutout visible in the pics is resting on a standard American quarter which has been colored black to improve the contrast.

IMG_3440_zpsd7445416.jpg

Supplies:
(1) ¾” x ¾” piece of black adhesive-backed Velcro tape with both sides (Most stores sell it in ¾” widths, so you will only need to cut off a ¾” piece off the strip).
(1) Sharp exacto or utility knife (These are VERY SHARP AND DANGEROUS – I am not responsible for your actions – Safety gloves can be purchased or be VERY careful).
(1) ¾” x ¾” piece of black duct (duck) tape or black Gorilla Tape. I used Gorilla Tape simply because I had it on hand, but it probably wouldn’t be worth purchasing a roll for this task. However, the Gorilla Tape may take more abuse than generic duct tape; YMMV.

Directions:
1. Separate the two sides of the ¾” Velcro strip.
2. The next step is dangerous, and should only be taken with extreme caution!
3. Cut out a small rectangle that is slightly bigger than the button. It will require a very sharp exacto blade or utility knife. Note: Cutting the rectangle slightly bigger will help keep adhesive from jamming the button creases and causing problems.
4. Remove the small rectangle and the adhesive backing from the soft piece of Velcro. Align and firmly press the Velcro to the PN. This alone is an improvement, but it’s super easy to make a cover, too!
5. Take the backing off the “hard” side of ¾” Velcro and align it with the ¾” duct or gorilla tape.
6. Use your PN for the first time using your new ButtonBlocker!

Conclusions:
When the cover is on, it can still be fired, but it takes a very direct and intentional “button push.” Some people may scoff at the looks, but I believe it greatly increases the PN’s two greatest strengths: stealth and functionality. Also, the ButtonBlocker can be removed pretty easily, since the soft Velcro strip can usually be removed cleanly and easily.

VaporBlunt Team: I bequeath all rights of this design for your usage and discretion. If possible, I would love to be part of your test or consulting team. Please PM if there is anything I can do to help improve your great products. Either way, keep up the great work!

Happy vaping,

I am going to go out on a limb and say you did not buy the pinnacle WT from my website. We have extensive QC on every WT the moment they come in. I'm not saying other people don't, but I know we do. Another thing to keep in mind is that there are hundreds of discounted second quality WT on the market at this point, we sell them wholesale only to people who clearly understand they are buying seconds. The concern is if they then sell those seconds advertised as First than the end consumer will be deceived into buying a piece that lacks in quality. We discount our seconds based on how severe either 25-35 % just FYI, there are some benefits to paying a little more from the direct source. Please provide pictures and info of who you purchased from and I'll let you know if there is anything I can do to help u out.

One reason I did not buy from you guys directly is both your packaging and credit card statement say "vaporblunt" vs. another more stealth name like "all rise records" used by gotvape. This matters to some people.

BongScott,
All i have to say is WOW! so i received my pn that i sent back to gv on thur. super excited hoping to be able to use the beautiful wt thats been just waiting for the pn to come back. well first night i charged it about 5-6 hrs. just be on the safe side. when i saw the solid blue light blinking for a good 2 hrs. i got it off the charger and put it on low went through the motions of waiting about a minute after the light reached its temp. took about 4-5 hits and wonderful taste but no sort of visible vapors went through the 1st cycle on low 2nd cycle on orange taste didnt taste as good but still very very faint visible vapors. so i said well maybe i need i should try it w/ another bullet w/ the wt this time. so i charged it overnight woke up the next morning filled the bullet and got the wt ready. solid blue light was on took it off the charger and as i pushed the power button it started blinking rapid blue stating it was low:huh: so i thought maybe smh it didnt charge right so i charged it from that morning until later that evening. solid blue light was on and then same thing pushed the power button then the blue light started blinking very rapidly. :rant:now i was getting irked because i was starting to realize that either this is the same unit i sent back to gv and they sent the same one back or they sent me another pn that had the same problem. both ways ived been waiting to use a legit pn that i paid for w/ the wt but have been waiting for about 3 weeks now ima have to send this pn and back and wait for a replacement to be shipped again.

its unfortunate that ive been reading alot of good reviews about the pn but still have not been able to enjoy the same satisfaction that its seems to give to all these users!!! :bang:

It works fantastic. I just put a piece of silicone and connect the glass to the pong. I thought put a picture up here earlier in the thread but here you go.

I know you posted this a while ago, but do you know the size of the silicon and/or the glass tube you use? I was looking to attach a silicon tube to my pong.

The silicone is the 1/2" from the SSV. I bought colored tubing to now I cut that up and use it. It isn't great to use while boiling since it deforms a bit. The glass straw is called a smoothie straw.
Smoothie Straws (7.6 mm / 12 mm). The OD seems to be the same as the solo stem and the pong.
I bought all the sizes trying to actually mate it with the solo but this is what I ended up with.

I have the new Pro sample, and I'm pretty close to releasing it to production. It is truly amazing, I have had a great time playing with it.

* ability to use while charging

* 5 heat setting from 350-430 (the temps may change)

* smart design protection from nuking your device if you plug in the wrong charger, the device blinks red and shuts down to prevent damage

* We are including both the pong and the standard MP

* battery life indicator

The reason I have been delaying this so long is because once the reality came that we couldn't increase battery life and couldn't reach the temps for concentrates, I began to wonder if the world needed/wanted to spend an extra $80 on those five bullet points I just listed. The feedback I have got have been very overwhelmingly positive, so I think the time has come. Expect to see this on the market around July 1. MSRP most likely $299.99, but that isn't going to be determined by me so stay tuned for details as they arise. This will be my last post about the Pro in this thread, I will open a new thread with pictures and reviews in approx 4 weeks when the actual production units are ready. Thanks for support!

TRVB, this is great. Even if you can't increase the battery life, just being able to use it while plugged in is a huge improvement. Appreciate the hard work you've put in to making this a reality for us.

Thnx sticks. trust me i hate being that guy also lol. ive been having my doubts the past couple nights thinking maybe i should've just waited for the pro to come out rather than settling for the pn. i just read so many great reviews about the pn on this thread and by the looks of it i wouldn't be surprised if i finally get a working pn from gv by the time the pro comes out lol:shrug: well ima give it another shot if they send me a 3rd defective then itll be strike 3 then i guess ima have to be that guy! i placed my order before 4/20 and until now i still havent had a chance yet to use a legit unit yet my wt has been untouch since Ive recieved it. :ugh: i guess im back to the waiting game until they send me another replacement. sorry guys if i sound like a debbie downer its just ive been anticipating to be able to use the pn w/ the wt since last month...just needed to get it off my chest.

I suggest that you consider making the low end 160°C (320°F ). That's where a lot of us low temperature people like to start. I also suggest that you open the new thread as soon as you can, because otherwise this one is about to get seriously derailed.

OB topic: I just received a Pinnacle as a gift and I'll be posting about it later, after I've had a little experience. Based on some comments here I was worried that the construction might be flimsy but now I have no idea what those posts were talking about. Yes, the Pinnacle is plastic, but it seems well-assembled and does not have a cheap feel to me. Although the chamber cap doesn't snap into place (another complaint I've read) on this one it certainly seems to be on firmly and I don't think it's likely to fall off. I'll carry it around in my pocket for a while and see if my opinion changes.
