BLAZING OG

Vaping is a way of life!
Nice, I'm still using the stock 2900 mah battery and I have a feeling the warmup time for the CEO could be quicker with the 2250 mah. Is that what you've experienced?
This is what I'm noticing...but more testing is required to make sure it's not the placebo effect for me. Seems like im gettinge denser clouds. But just to make sure, I we t ahead and ordered 6 more 2250s yesterday.
Yes. i do believe the 2250 work faster for me , at the same time I keep testing my 2250's then the 2900 and i find my self coming back to the 2250,this is no scientific data behind this but just seems faster to warm up by 5 or even up to 10 seconds.......................like sneaky i keep testing thinking its my mind playing tricks on me (placebo effect).

All in all, iam glad I got six 2250's and two 2900's!!!!
I also use them in my high powered led flashlights and other portable oil vapes i have!!!

hope this helps!!!
:peace:

**edit**
I use them for my pesei 3.7v setup for e-juice and oil carts & these 2250's have brought new life to these devices, my iclear tank makes noticeably denser vapor with the 2250's and oils carts work way better!!!

The warmup time with the 2250 should be noticeably shorter for the first 20% of the charge in the battery. After that (the last 80% of the Cera usable charge in the battery) the 2500 and the 2900 batteries should be pretty much the same (again, when used in the Cera).

Haywood is spot on....again. Man knows his batteries. Both give about as many total minutes of hot (the 'extra capacity' of the 2900 being at too low a power level to be of use to us). However, at the first, the strong advantage lies with the 2250. The irony is this is the part of the charge guys judge best, later on their ability to judge time and stuff suffers?

Just an observation here... but is everyone's Cera female? And does everyone's Cera have a personality / talk to them?

Mine definitely does. I turned off my house heat about a month and a half ago, and it still gets a little chilly at night. I wake up, cuddle with my warm little Cera, then we watch netflix and go back to sleep. She's totally like a pet. Except I can take her EVERYWHERE, and I can't take my dogs into restaurants or professional buildings.

I have a tough time referring to Cera as a female, I know he might like to be called a female but until the operation Cera is still all male to me.

anyone know if there is a wait on ti cera eo? I read the thread daily and can not recall if that has been covered recently. Thanks thinking about ordering

Over the falls, in a barrel
So, I figured out last night that I can vape the reclaim oil out of my glass MFLB stem by just pressing one end of it into the LL cart, making sure to cover a few of the holes in the bottom of the cart, and pulling through the other end of the stem with no top cap or adapter rigging or anything. Just be mindful that the stem will pick up the heat quickly so you can't take excessively long pulls, and of course the naked LL cart will get plenty hot as well, just watch your fingers and you'll be fine.

My stem doesn't even look like it has that much reclaim in it, just a bit that came out of my LB itself I think (it's seen a lot of moister-than-optimal bud). But it's doing the trick, after not having any herb for a while. Definitely doing the trick.

I just received and charged my CGR18650CH 2250s from FastTech. I think they are a great battery but I feel like the PD2900s are better in my Cera. I can feel more power from the PD2900s, they heat up nearly as quick if not the same and burn more brilliant than the 2250s IMHO.
I noticed they shipped from hong kong, do you think they are knock off's or just dont perform as well?

I just got back from the shop, they have a pile of laser welded assemblies (screw plate, strip and base ring) in Ti, not SS. They expect to be 'current' in the next few days as they finish the bodies (LL and EO cores are ready, EL are till on hold for both types pending the upgraded design. Again, this is for Ti units. I didn't count, but I think they're talking 6 or so units based on the list Travis showed me. They expect to have stock by the weeks end so shipments will me 'same day' after that.

There are a lot (something like 50) of SS orders holding on those welded assemblies, due in later this week hopefully. Those units are also staged awaiting the welded assemblies to finish them, they are probably a week to two weeks out in order they were ordered. They hope to be in 'off the shelf status' there shortly after. Hopefully regular scheduled deliveries will keep it running smoothly.

The welds look very solid to me, but IMO soldering is superior. This is possible with the SS but not Ti, but is very labor intensive. It'll be cheaper in the long run to make them welded so that's what the future will hold it seems. There are like 8 spots they laser weld each end (kind of a complex process of double welds laid down on top of each other, but they in total are only a small fraction of the area that is soldered, the bottleneck created means they will have a higher resistance in practice so there will be higher losses here and less heat in the core. I'll be able to measure the SS units when they come in to see how significant this is (I suspect not very) but I expect the nod to go to soldered connections.

It's also worth noting than none of the field failures have involved the soldered connections. They have been stress failures in the strap itself apparently caused by heat cycling where it turns at the screw plate (which remains unchanged for now). They asked if I wanted to bring my Beta unit back for 'upgrade' when they came in, I declined. IMO this is a 'not broken, don't fix it deal'. I know the one I have is working fine (the 'upgrade' could not be an imporvement there, and nothing about the new version will make them more reliable at the point causing problems. Mine has no issues with the strap it seems, that' can't be said about a replacement.

In another interesting discussion, it seems that the new design of the EO core has been a huge success in terms of reliability. While the tiny coil and very fine wire used in Revolution/DART has lead to a number of failures (the 'end of the leads' situation we've discussed before) the better support and much heavier wire (twice as heavy) have basically eliminated this problem. No Cera cores have failed in this way. Well done TV! A great product line is getting better and better over time IMO.

OF, when you say, "EL are till [sic] on hold for both types pending the upgraded design," by "both types" do you mean SS and Ti?

If so, did they give an approximate ready date for when they'll be complete?

Yes, that's it. No, no dates given out, I assume it'll be ready when it's ready? That is scheduling such completions of a project you don't have the middle part done are at best a guess.

No, they are legit (FastTech is legit). Their performance is certainly legit. They are very good batteries as I said. I just like the way my Cera runs on the PD2900s better. The PD2900s help me juice more out of a load. The 2900s are stronger longer as far as my experience goes and I notice it very clearly. I would pick the PD2900 over CGR18650CH 2250mAh except for the price.
Thanks for the clear-up!

Quick poll - does anybody with the ceramic screens ever have shit get through? If I vape the same stuff twice I sometimes get a little bit of junk. Since I vape stuff once most of the time I'm generally fine. The reason I ask is that I can add little stainless steel screens for about $.50 along with the mouthpieces that are being manufactured.

Hey NTS,

Thanks for the kind offer! So far I haven't had anything make it's way through the ceramic screen (and I grind med-fine) when I use it with theTET/VRIP glass WP adapter (I'm using it as a MP). I guess I vote with Steama - I'd also like to keep the air path SS free with the new ceramic MP. Looking forward to when they're available! Thanks again.

Ceramic screens are fine for me! My new screen actually has wider holes than the ceramic screens and I still don't get anything.

I also don't grind super fine.

You're welcome, glad to do some recon from time to time.

Sorry, I didn't think to ask about CE, Zeki was buzzing around but didn't say anything about it, he was having too much fun with a bunch of "Monday problems".......
