A nudge in the right direction please

Sounds like a good choice for you. Excellent all-around vape.

One of these days you should describe the challenges of partaking in China (though probably looser in HK). I think it would be scary, but who knows! After all, some say The Plant originated there.
Thanks Satyrday. I will definitely write that post. What section do you think I should put it in? I definitely have some interesting things to share.

Glad you like the Solo. I'll be sure to post my opinions after I try. Just checked the tracking and should be here by the weekend

I think you could put it under a few but the vapor Lounge. Do you see a lot of electric bicycles and other electric vehicles.

I think a new thread in the Vapor Lounge. You could name it something like 'Vaping in China' (or whatever is your angle). In your kickoff post you can describe your experiences, and then people can follow up with their experiences or questions and comments. Sounds interesting. Thanks!

Wychwood vapes come from Europe and will do international shipping last I checked. If in the future u decide to go LOG

Thanks again for all the replies guys. I am so excited to get the Solo. Should be here by Saturday with any luck.

Just a little update on the UD situation. I just received an email from Dave and he has told me that sadly he can no longer ship outside of the US. Damn :hmm: Oh well I guess I will have to explore the other log vapes. But to be honest it just makes me more determined to get an UD now. I'm kind of thick like that.

I must say though it is really a wonderful thing to be able to get such great advice from fellow vapers. Hopefully the Solo keeps me happy for a while but I just know the next vape is around the corner

Hi Frogboy - don't see too many electric bicycles here. There are a reasonable number of electric cars but I wouldn't say they are overly popular. Japan is a place where you see a lot of funky bicycles though. I recall seeing quite a few pimped electric bicycles in Tokyo and Osaka. Here you would probably get run over pretty quick. Although there are plenty of bicycle paths in certain areas it is more for recreation than transportation.

Still learning this thing called Cannabis
As I was reading through this tread I got excited because first of all, I also live in a Chinese speaking country not too far away from HK, and also because it looks like there are a couple of people on this forum who speak Chinese. However, I don't get your name being a reference to Chinese. I speak Mandarin, however, so it might be a reference to Cantonese, which I know is spoken widely in HK.

I would also like to hear stories about consuming cannabis in China. Getting herb where I am is pretty difficult and I've had to be pretty, ahem, creative to get it. Although, I have now got a method that has allowed me to sample some top shelf product. By the way, using cannabis here sometimes scares the shit out of me because I know what the high penalties are for getting caught. I just try to be careful and not talk about it with anyone.

On to vaporizers. I own an UD and I've had it a couple of weeks. If you're looking to ship frrom the states, I know of a package forwarding service I could recommend. I believe it costed me about $40 US to have the package forwarded here. The UD is a great vape. It conserves herb well and it can be left on 24/7.

it's a reference to Cantonese which is probably why you don't recognize it. i happen to be able to understand both Mandarin and Cantonese. 'Gweilo', as i recall essentially means 'Round/wide eyed' which usually references those who are Caucasian.

to get back on topic...maybe you should post the package forwarding service on here to help out. i'm sure it'd be helpful for Mr. Gweilo to have that option in case he decides to order a package from a company that does not ship outside the U.S.

Thanks Chinaboy. That will definitely come in handy.

Have not forgotten about the China post guys, just working it out.

You guys are pretty much right about the word "gweilo'. It is Cantonese and translates as something close to 'ghost man' but is most commonly thought to mean 'foreign devil'. Anyway, that is what the locals call Whitey here in HK. I find it amusing. :brow:
