I need a heavy-duty case for my SSV

Something sturdy, padded with foam on the inside (that pick n pluck stuff would be nice)
Steel would be sweet...but hard plastic is fine as well.

What are my options?

The Vault-Cases sold by ALT are very sturdy, I have the 16" that I use for storing/carying my glass.

Check out "Peli-case" on ebay too, that's another good option (YMMV).

checkout out pelican cases - they are (likely) what the ALT Vault Cases are modeled after. Highly customizable with high density pluck-able foam, too. they are the best, imo

I know there was a fellow in the Vapexhale Cloud thread that recommended this website.

If you have the inclinations of an engineer , it allows very precise custom designing of your foam insert via a CAD program (you use through the website). If that doesn't sound like fun, then I'd just go with pick 'n' pluck foam insert because the custom-made foam is not cheap.
