Almost there...
For me the glass screen works perfectly!
No need to add a mesh screen unless you grind your herb up very fine.
Easier just to add a small nug and get on with it!

My 420 deal arrived today and I noticed that in the whole package I only seem to have received one whip kit with the EV-2 and one standard glass wand with no silicon tubings. The real problematic thing for me is that with only one glass wand I can't give away the second E-Nano like I had planned. I'm going to wait until tomorrow before contacting Andy so that I can test all three units to make sure they're working. Has anyone else from the 420 triple deal had this issue?

I'm sure Andy has been swamped with orders and it's probably just a mixup. I do appreciate the fast shipping. The vapes themselves have a gorgeous and elegant design and the nanos are even smaller than I had been expecting. They really make my Purple Days units seem like something from a bygone era. Aside from the wand hitch I'm very impressed at first sight.

Here are two pictures of my complete unboxed package (warning - large images):

Everything was removed from the box as you see there. The power cord on the right came unbagged unlike its twin, not entirely sure why.

They're here! My nanos have arrived! I took some photos and will post later, but seriously, these things look and feel awesome. Gorgeous. Pictures don't do em justice. And they're even smaller than I thought! Be back later; it's time to test!

... and we won't be hearing back from him for a few daze... ;)

 You were almost right. The nano definitely rocked my socks. :ko: Flavor was great, heat up didn't take long, and it didn't take very long for the heater to cool off either, allowing me to pack the unit away in the provided bag shortly after I was finished.

As promised, here are a few pics of the babies:

Sorry you were missing a wand. I'll send it right out. The nano's don't come with tubing, but I can send you some if you want, or you can just cut a small piece from the tubing for the EV-2.

Thanks for taking care of the missing wand! The tubing isn't a huge deal for me, I only mentioned it because I saw it listed as included on the website. Although I certainly wouldn't say no if you wanted to throw those in as well. ;)

I'll be firing up a Nano for my first tryout soon. I'll post impressions when I can.

Firing it up right now. I will liveblog my impressions here as I go from tired to blazed to hopefully unconscious. Insomnia is a terrible thing. Timestamps indicate time since device was turned on.

00:04 - I'm impressed by the heatup time. It took my Purple Days at least half an hour to get ready to go, sometimes longer than that towards the end. With the dial turned up to 6 it appears to have reached functional temperatures within a few minutes, just as advertized. This alone is a big deal for me since I like having my stuff work on demand.

00:05 - Love the glass stem. Much classier and cleaner looking than the Purple Days wands and it looks like it'll get better draw too. Replaceable screens are a great innovation. Loading it up now.

00:07 - The glass stems appear to have a higher capacity than the PD wands. I'm big on efficiency. Let's see how it does with a half load.

00:11 - That was one of the smoothest hits I've ever had out of a direct draw vape. I had no idea how much vapor I was getting until I exhaled. The longer stem must help cool it down.

00:13 - Ouch! Finger slipped a bit too low and apparently the glass does get quite hot down there. I'll just have to get used to that. I guess that's one advantage to the uglier PD wands.

00:16 - I love that I can see my herbs in there. That is fascinating. I love that.

00:17 - This thing is really efficient. Even with a half load I'm getting a lot of mileage. Really happy to see this.

00:28 - That blue light is so cute. I could stare at that shit forever man.

00:33 - I'm hungry.BRB.

02:54 - And I'm ready to sleep. Wow did I really write all that crazy stuff I just deleted? Guess that's how you know the vape works.

I have the same issue, but I love mine so much the thought of not having it for a week or more is too much for me! LOL! It still functions great and I'll send it back someday, just cringing at the thought of going back to the MFLB or the cursed combustion for a week or more.

Heat,
Someone posted a bit back that steel clamps would make a great steam punk addition to a splitting Nano.

I feel I have to be doing something wrong with my screen install on the wand, it keeps coming loose and I just got a mouthful of ground herb. Terrible waste. How do you guys get it to stick?

So far, I haven't really been grinding, just sticking a little nuggy in there. I wouldn't say my screen "fits," but if I'm careful putting it in, and don't move things around too much, it's doesn't give me a great deal of trouble. Not sure what else we can do...?

If the screen is falling out, smash the screen with a hammer. This will spread it out and it will stay in place beter.
If it's still a problem, email me.

If in doubt, smash with hammer! I like this advice, maybe I should start using it more in my life.

:smug: really though, smooshing a log vape screen up a little bit to make it slightly wider works wonders. I use a spoon usually, but a hammer sounds like fun

I have discovered that just the tiniest bit of residue left in the stem helps keep the screen in place.

I have, however, abandoned using the regular stem, and am only using the glass screen one (with screen added).

Another benefit of hammering the screen is that it stays cleaner longer.

That's also my recipe, along with the gong adapter and a Mobius Ion. In fact lately the gong is getting all the work.

I feel like I'm the only one using silicone with my nano! All you guys are havin troubles with all this glass and I'm sittin here havin fun choppin up new "bowls" out of everything! Right now my favorite is about 2 inches of UD thick silicone( have found it to seal better than the thin stuff Andy sends) and a 14mm whip adapter shoved in the other end. Lots of room between herb and heater so the hits are just as smooth as the glass bowls Andy offers. I also made a micro hit bowl. All I did was take a coned shaped bowl and stuffed 1cm of silicone inside of it, but the silicone has a triangular slit halfway up it. This lets it cone into the shape of the bowl. So it goes from 3/8 to about a 1/4 where your herbs are, now that's my conserving bowl and kief bowl.
