I got about 5-10 hits out of a load of my microG. Its great to share with friends. I mighthave to reload it once or twice but i would do the same with a plug in vape usually... Ive had no problem using wax in it either. I agree the battery life is awesome when used correctly, however the cartridges die after a few weeks of constant use which is the main problem. The have a microG-esque cart now for the Gpen which looks cool but If it has the same longeveity of the microG then its not for me and given my past experience im not willing to waste the money...

As for recommending the vapor bros or volcano as plug-ins I do not agree there, there are far better alternatives out there that are either cheaper or around the same price as the volcano now a days

This thread is slightly off topic. Let me bring it back. I called the cloud service number yesterday, i asked about a cloud i saw that was labeled as a 2.0 and packaged with a skillet tool. He said that the 2.0 cloud is a knock off. He said the best way to spot a fake cloud is by one of the following:

-fake clouds have a black button, that lights up red or green. Real clouds have a clear button that lights up blue.
-fake clouds have a micro usb charger, similar to most cell phones. Real clouds have a proprietary charger.
-fake clouds have "cloud" printed on the battery and mouthpiece, real clouds do not.

They have a posting on their twitter and instagram that if you send in your fake cloud and $35, they will send you a real cloud.

I cant imagine why this thread isnt larger given the popularity of this device. Many, many people have one and certain colors stay outof stock. I was having a hard time finding a legit review in this thread. Maybe the knock offs are flooding the market and really giving the cloud a bad name.

The real one and the fake one are the same thing other than the differences you posted above, same for the microG. One isn't better than the other, they are all Ovale Elipse E-Cigs with cloud/GPen branding and different color button lights. There are no "good" reviews because everyone's breaks a few weeks after using it. The sad part is that some people buy it and get stuck buying replacement atomizers for $25 rather than a pen designed for concentrates with a legit warranty because they don't have the money to keep buying new pens. I'd say any good review was posted before two weeks of use.

Like already mentioned there is no fake cloud, the company you talked to and the one that makes the cloud 2.0 were originally partners and then split a while back. I believe its been mentioned before in the previous pages. And also like already mentioned the reason it isnt more popular on here is because its not reliable. Ive tried that atomizers from both cloud companies and they both lasted about the same time (3 weeks with constant use). Ive also used the microG ones which lasted about the same but seem to be better quality(the coils aligned straight into notches in ceramic, all metal around the inside top part)

Also, That description you received from them about spotting "fake" clouds just makes their company sound like the inferior knock offs IMO.
The black button seems more discreet than a clear one
The microUSB seems like a better alternative than the propriety charger and is less likely to cause issues/easier to replace
And having the cloud label on it seems more legit than no logo at all

That makes a lot of sense, thanks!

Do you have a portable vape pen that works well with wax? I have a vaporcone that works great, but only if you dab the coils each time. This is difficult since the coil is so deep down in the device.

That depends on friend,,if we like the small one,,we can turn to elips or vip2,,If we want a larger one,,we can turn to the vip1,,

What kind of vaporizers are you looking for friend?

cena wong,
Just picked up one of these Cloud 2.0's the other day for my trip across the country. Works good so far from what I can tell.

You have way too much wax in there. A little goes a LONG way. Less is more keeps it less mess, and you get better vapor production with less burn flavor.
I swapped out my cloud atomizer for the gcoil one on the gpen micro. It has the same setup but with a metal screen that covers the element. You don't get the huge clouds anymore but you also gets I better flavor and much less mess. You can scrape the screen and keep it clean without destroying the heating element.

rsqemt911,
seems to work fine. Sometimes it stops hitting and then I scrape the sides and it gets going again once I put the oil back on the element. I'm going to be buying a new cartridge so I guess I might as well give the Micro G one a shot.

I have read through this entire thread and have a question.

So, most of us are in agreement that there is 'something' on the filament after everything has been cleaned. Whatever it is, glycerine, left over resin, whatever, HOW do I clean it so that when there is NOTHING in the atomizer and click the button NOTHING smokes up?

Last night I did NOT like the idea of smoking plastic, glycerine, or anything that isn't BHO, so I took out the atomizer, soaked it in ISO, pulled it out, cleaned it super good...was all excited to turn it on and see NO SMOKE...yet it continues to smoke. How do I get rid of this smoking???

For the record, after all the information I have gathered I will not be buying another one of these ever. I just want to clean it, than use it until it breaks, and than get another concentrate vaporizer.

Any help out there?

reading these new posts I feel like I should throw in my 2 cents. Ive been using my MicroG since February and have loved it (pretty much the same thing as a cloud). I have only gone through 1 atomizer which burned in about 2-3 weeks.

This was with me using it all day everyday, as my primary smoking device (I could not combust or use my rig for other reasons) After the first atomizer burnt out I moved onto my second (The MicroG pen came with 2 full set ups for $100, which I found very convenient, as I could be using one battery and have the other charging on stand by.

Well 8 months later im still using my 2nd atomizer without issue. I bought another one to have as a back up but have yet to use it. Maybe this is just random luck but its still going strong. I have not dipped it in any ISO and have just heated it up/scraped the resin to clean. The only complaint I have is it can get a little messy. However I do not put in as much wax as what is pictured above. As stated previously a little bit goes a long way.

As far as battery life. I would wake up at 8am, load it up, "sip" on it throughout the morning and wouldnt need to swap batteries until 11-12. Other times ive let one battery sit for a few days after a full charge, came back to it, and bam its still the majority of the way charged up and lasted awhile.

Ive found that really on shatter works the best, anything thats not purged to well has a hard time burning. Ive tried various types of wax and bubble / full melt hash as well. Shatter is easily the best and if you have really good hash that can work at times to.

Overall ive had a very pleasant experience with this device. Now is it for everyone? nope, but the simplicity and size of the device makes it very desirable if you have a good constant shatter source.

feel free to ask me any questions you have regarding this pen as I think I have a good amount of experience/time with the device.

Well...just trying to figure out how to completely clean everything off of the atomizer so that it does not smoke off some mysterious substance before I use it again.

I would assume based on my limited experience with the G-pen that you aren't ever going to be able to clean the wick appropriately, it arrives pre-fouled. When you buy the silica rope material in bulk to rebuild atomizers, the manufacturers all recommend blasting it white hot in the blue flame of a butane torch. There is one single reseller I've seen who bakes the stuff in a kiln for 18 hours so it's ready to use right away. When you perform this step you can see the wick material seize/tighten up on itself a bit as it off-gasses various impurities, albeit at a substantially higher rate than when you are dry-firing these garbage carts. This torching step is performed on the wick material and the kanthal wire prior to assembly in the atomizer. When you get rebuildable atomizers from China (fasttech) with prewound coils (ie garbage) they exhibit the same off-gassing properties, so you just rip them out and start over. tldr, can't polish a turd.

No, it's not, but thanks for reading my posts.

So, I can't burn it in blue flame for awhile?

Will the smoke hurt me? Do we know exactly what it is for sure? I would like to know just what in the hell could be entering my body before ever using it again.

Chubbs from CPA is a... very sketchy individual. I had an account on Nuggetry (his site, "honest and accurate" my fucking ass) before I got banned from there... he put up a video from a few years ago where he was shown displaying the worst-looking excuse for "oil" that I've ever seen. It looked SO green and bad, similar to my QWISO oil made with ABV. Anyways, I saw the video right as it was posted, and noticed that a guy had commented on the oil, questioning the quality and why he was passing that on to his patients... not 10 minutes later I see the comment again... except it changed. It was something like "Keep the throwback videos coming, Chubbs!"

WHOA. He changed a comment. And then a secondary one as well. When I made a similar comment, it was changed within 5 minutes. I made another one asking why my comments were changed, they were valid concerns, etc. Changed and banned. I got banned for calling him out on HIS bullshit. And I wasn't the only one that had that happen to on that video, and I suspect it has been happening for months if not years. To see a "Cloud Pen" being sold at his place doesn't surprise me, although I can't deny that he has some cool stuff there too (Tetra Labs has a sublingual spray tincture, how cool!).

Anyways I found this on google...

Do you or does anyone know if the cloud pen was also marketed as a product known as sticky lips? I was talked into buying one of these and have not been very pleased with the results. I have Burt the heating element out and meet a new one does anyone have any or any recommendations? I plan on buying a ghost pen kit as soon as I have some extra money. Oh yeah and A subliminator.

Theres no way to attempt this. You have a coil wrapped around a wick. And that coil gets glowing hot. The smoke you are seeing is from the coil burning the wick...either continue to use it orscrap it and cut your losses.

Some good alternatives that do not seem to produce myster vapor...
(Similar designed coils): dabbler or dr dabbler (about same price as cloud pen)
(Different designs): w9techs new K.i.s.s. Cartridge compatible with any w9tech product (omicron, ophos, persei), the hercules for any of those products as well (more expensive) and the thermovape cera

Actually, I was fed up. I threw away that first coil and got two new ones from another similar pen...can't remember the name of it atm, atmos, micro g, something like that. Anyway, the new coils are working better in the cloud...but I am still not using it. I purchased the Dr. Dabber pen and it works great, although it is like, constricting my throat or something. My asthma has been kicking up since I made the switch from combusting and I think it's the lack of water cooling. I just purchased the PNWT for the Dr. Dabber and hopefully that rectifies my issue.

Plus, now I am on the market for a nice glass bong...can't wait.

PNWT is a great addition. I use it with the dabbler plenty. You may need some silicone tubing to get it to fit fyi

Someone in a previous thread told me they had no problems mating it onto their pens. Really would rather not use tubing, was thinking of some kind of o-ring from mcmaster-carr. We will see.

Thanks for the input!

edit: dabbler plenty? you mean to say, 'I use mine with the dabbler a lot', or are you using a 'plenty' as well (from storz & bickle)? lol, so much new terminology to me I may be thinking there is a term there when there isn't.

Haha yeah i meant use with the dabbler a lot...

I dont see how someone had no problem mating a pen with the PNWT. Unless the dr dabber is thicker than the dabbler. But it looks like they use the same mouthpieces so i dont see how its possible...maybe the globe attachment without the globe? When i stick my dabbler with no tubing in the PNWT there is a couble cms of space all around it. I can still hit it and get most of the hit but theres definitely some being lost.

I dont think its something to worry about though, you just put it around the mouthpiece you can even have the mouthpiece sticking out so the silicone isnt really in the air path, its just filler

Perhaps one of those silicone ecig condoms cut down and placed around the mouthpiece would give it a tight seal? You could place it in such a way that it isn't in the vapor path but still seals it?
