I took my original LL resistance measurements with a reasonably nice multimeter and made sure to subtract lead resistance. This morning I measured the voltage drop, and a fresh 4.20V drops to 3.88V under load- so the resistance of my core is probably less than one ohm. This means the battery must provide around 5.5amps, not 3.5 amps. Sorry for the confusion!

I know the D1 requires a custom or hobby charger to get the most out of it, and I don't have access to either. If somebody out there already has a fancy charger and a spare LL core, it may be a worthwhile experiment. New 18650s are coming out all the time, I wouldn't be surprised to see capacities double in the next year or two.

I am one that had a very high combustion rate with the LL if I did anything but loosely load it. Grind size needs more experimenting and will commence when it returns from TET. They requested I send in my EO and LL carts with the body and switch and I requested them to give the LL cart a look over just in case it wasn't my technique. I do not think I had pieces of flower falling through to the heater, I imagine this would be more likely with a loose pack then a tighter pack anyway. When emptying the LL after combustion the most char was above the bottom layer of flower closest to the heater so it appears combustion started for me where resistance was from the packing. On its return I want to try a poking stick to try and pack the LL in layers in hopes to get a more even pack and even air flow through the core.

Honestly give the stock cap/MP a chance once you try it you will see theirs no need for a screen. I actually tried the screen thing thinking it would hold my herb in place better and didn't like it at all, also i couldn't look at my herb every couple hits lol I am OCD about this i dunno why. I use a super fine grind almost like sawdust and have never had issues with crap getting in my mouth.
Just gonna second this. I've been using a near-MFLB grind (something I'm gonna avoid in the future for separate reasons), and the stock mouthpiece has worked fantastic for me. It's magical. And, it gives you super-easily harvested reclaim…! Definitely give it a shot.

not just guy.

at the end of this video, she says "I'll see what I can do" which means she is implying she's about to tinker with it to get it working

Fun, thanks for the post. Good show she told you where on the 'really excited, so happy right now' to "I'm really sad now, fucking pissed' scale she's at. Most of the clues I look for aren't there and the swings are fast.....

I really liked the 'sorry for the bad language guys' part. My guess is a small fraction of the guys really took note.....even less offense?

Thanks again. Nobody's mistaking her for a guy I agree. It's not exclusively gender specific for sure, but testosterone poisoning is typically a factor I'm told.....

Hey Everyone,
I am a little off subject here but,
does anyone use the titanium Cera? if so is it really worth the extra $250. I am seconds away from placing an order but I cant decide between the two. also how much of the cera has titanium or steel in it?

The core of the EO is all metal on the outside, the LL core is ceramic with a base of metal. The body is all ceramic with a metal disk to screw the cores into and the switch is metal but not even sure if that is any different in the TI version.

I was almost certain I would go with the TI version but when all was said and done I went SS. Biggest reason was I could buy 2.5 cores of SS for the price of one TI core and since this is not the stealthiest of vapes the extra weight made little difference to me. However when it comes to torches and dabbing I need everything TI, even trying to use a SS dabber I can taste the SS. I do not feel this to be the case with the Cera SS core, I taste nothing but oil.

Thanks GR,
That was an eye opener, if the switch isn't even TI there's no way in hell i'll pay an extra $250 for a metal disk. since all i want right now is the LL cart, and most of it is ceramic anyway, ss cera is the vape for me...maybe ill just buy a TI eo core for my bday.

by the way if you want to buy a TI eo core separately do you have to email them because I don't see any option to buy it separately?

I think you have to contact them. They and others have advised against mixing metals due to different thermal properties. I think it was OF who talked about it in some length several pages ago. Hope this helps.

GR is correct, main weight savings is with the EO (or EL) core. If you are going LL only, then you won't get much savings in weight. I posted weight differences a while back between Ti and SS with matching EO carts if you search back a little bit, but again, does not really apply to LL. I think they only recommend Ti if you are in an environment where corrosion could be an issue.

Another thing to keep in mind is that TET does not recommend mismatching SS with Ti but there is nothing to really keep you from doing that. I do still have a spare SS EO cart but have not used it since I bought my Ti setup. It is quite a bit lighter if you are just comparing the EO/EL carts by themselves but with the body attached and added weight of the battery it becomes mostly unnoticeable. However, if I use lighter 3.2v batteries I can really feel the difference between SS and Ti EO carts.

BTW - Individual parts can be ordered here:

Here's a successful journey I've taken tonight with the help of Cera and a well-seasoned launch box:

Step 1: Warm up an empty launch box trench for 10-20 seconds, then let it cool down for 5 or 10.
Step 2: Don't follow Step 3, you'll break your trench screen and blame me.
Step 3: Carefully scrape in the trench with your fingernail or some other flat-edged non-metallic tool. In particular, just under the o-ring and behind the folds at either end of the trench are two locations that may have much to offer . . . !
Step 4: Once content with the harvest, take the soft material and press it together to form a larger clump; we want to respect the holes in the bottom of Cera's bowl…
Step 5: Place in the cera and enjoy. Who says you don't have anything left to vape?!
Step 6: Compose a ridiculous long-winded post on FC about what you've just done. This step might be optional. I'll have to try next time and report back on that. Wait…
Happy Saturday, everyone.

Well well well. TET has really given us something special here with this lovely EO cart. Next to no skills required, a body could easily be fabricated. I'm cera less for the weekend and some late night beers got me really jonesing a rip off the EO. Toilet paper tube, paper clips and some painters tape later...

Really quite an embarrassing mess but hey it got me ripped and showed me the simplicity in the design.

This ghetto rig is hard to handle as the exposed cart is super hot but I'm gonna come up with something tomorrow.

Anybody around who isn't sure about the CLL? I took the time to compose a detailed response to some skepticism over here in Ask FC.

And a right proper response it is too.....you closed the joint! I couldn't even report you.....

And good thing, too. DR was sure to hear what they'd said and there's just no way out of what might happen next.

It sad the way some of those who never actually tried it are 'scaring off' others who haven't either.....a loss to both of them potentially.

Those who have objectively tried Cera LL fall into two main groups as I see it, those who 'get it' and fall in love and those 'still trying to get it' who will join them. Sadly, there are a few for which Cera does not fit the needs, but I'd have to say it was the needs there that were unusual?

Even the most demanding quality/quantity users (and I have a very tough time of seeing anyone but our DR at the head of that parade.....) report 'best of class' opinions.

Makes a guy wonder how many guys are giving up their Ceras for Pax or something like that, they may exist but you sure don't hear much from them.

Glad you got the good word in before the door got slammed, NPOM. Full points.

Thanks much, OF. Of all the points that don't matter, I value yours over Drew Carey's

You're welcome, of course. And thank you.

In this crazy world it's nice to know how your opinions rate......

Enjoy the remaining half of the weekend, weather here is super.....and tax free for now.

yeah...I hear Maryland has started taxing rainfall in some counties and in some states it is now illegal to capture rain in barrels for your own use...

Taxing our sunshine and the air we breathe is just around the corner as governments find new ways to waste our money...woo..hoo!

Oh yeah...Happy Cinco de Mayo...I need a drink...:)

Nice write-up nopartofme!

I stuck with the LL for about 2 weeks but without a couple of mods I feel like the body near the mouthpiece is much too hot and the switch too uncomfortable to hold. I don't think my needs are unusual and I think all the mods people are doing to get past these issues are great (and quite easy to pull off), but I'd have a hard time recommending the LL cart to anyone until TET can deal with the switch and the body heat issues near the mouthpiece. I am actually very anxious to try the LL cart again some day on a different body and with a different mouthpiece, just don't want to a FrankenCera at the moment.

One thing we can all agree on is that the LL cart has plenty of power. It is a beast for sure!

I personally love the LL cart, but have figured out my own way of making it work. Thats not super ghetto rigged. it looks normal and professional and hits just as well, from lighter to denser vapor, if not 5x better. Where does that put me?

From the get go TET has stated they designed the Cera to be very user friendly/modular. Which it has been. It seems like there's a good lot of fairly negative feelings about a modded mouth piece, which I feel is totally unfair and disgusting how people assume it must be used only one way. Obviously not, and obviously not if people are modding this thing, and PMing me asking me for directions on how to make my custom mouthpiece. (Which is fine BTW)

I've spent my time with the normal mouthpiece, It's NOT for ME. Trust me, I have PLENTY of experience, and I'm not one to just give up.
