the smell is usually just present on my breath. a quick cheezit or Hershey's kiss, etc takes care of that.

then there's the hands, of course...

after a day of use, i am ever more falling in love with my pinnacle, now i too have noticed that there are some bad points and moste of them i can get over,
i dont care that the battery "only" lasts 50 mins,
i love that bullet system,
the heat settings are fine for my needs,
it hasnt turned on in my poket..yet but i do have a slight fear of this happening but i think i can fashion some thing to put over it like a missle lauch button,
the one over bearing issue i have is the loose mouthpiece, it has come off in my poket twice alreddy, leading to a crumby poket lol.

so i think im gunna try and fashion an "anti mouth piece fally offy" mod. to go with my "missle lauch cap"

any one else alredy come up with a solution?
im having diffaculty as the outside is all slanty slidey, and im a little woried that anything i put inside the mp will get too hot or something... im shure stoner enginuity will prevail in the end:science:

I had the same feeling about his S&B product endorsements.

As a word of caution... it probably did smell. After you medicate you usually suffer from Olfactory Fatigue.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olfactory_fatigue

So you might not have been able to smell it, but someone who was not around you when you were medicating probably could smell it on you. The smell wears off quicker them smoke, but it is still there.

When I came back in, I walked over and gave my girlfriend a kiss. I couldn't tell, myself, so I asked her flat out. She's very quick to notice when I've recently indulged, and she did a double take because although she suspected that's what I was doing, she couldn't smell anything at all, so she assumed I had just gone out for a walk. I did pop a piece of gum, but that was it.

Truth be told, I'm not looking to medicate in public places, but it's nice to use something that doesn't make me feel like I'm walking around with a neon sign above my head.

The low smell factor of the PN is definitely a plus. I brought it to my sister's place and was vaping away in her living room for 10-15 minutes when she came back home from shopping. She walked in the living room and said "Have you really been using that in here? I don't smell a thing!"

Hi MM - can the Plenty be considered portable since it has to be plugged in? I agree, it's far from the best out there, even though it's a solid construction.

I know Bud rated the Pax pretty high, which surprised me, just from the standpoint of the mouthpiece issues that have plagued it (even with regular and proper lubrication). I just don't feel it's as flexible a vaporizer as the Pinnacle. The one thing I think it does better is discretion.

I've found that using 50% ISO works pretty well cleaning my mouthpiece...no fogging. Only soaked it for a few minutes and then used Qtips. A few weeks ago, I tried boiling it with dash of olive oil added to the water and it damaged the mouthpiece so now the screen has a hard time staying in.

Speaking of that: TRVB, is there anything you can change about the mouthpiece so that the screen isn't so f#$%! hard to replace after cleaning?

KC why do you say the pax is better at discretion? I think this vape is very stealthy.

Crohnie, how did that happen? I have boiled with no issues but I have never taken out the screen since some reported it was really hard to get back in.

Not sure, but it damaged the inside of the mouthpiece. I don't see another way of cleaning the (regular) mouthpiece without removing the screen.

I will boil again soon and let you know if it gets cleaned around the screen. If you remember last time I didn't do it for very long and as clean as the mp was the area around the screen had sediment. I personally don't care unless I need it travel clean.

I have said this before and I guess since because of the review the mp loose issue came up again. If you let it get a bit of resin on it there is no way it is coming off. I have to stick my finger nail under it to wiggle it off. This can be only a few sessions after it is cleaned. I noticed the same thing when I first got it so it isn't that it wasn't clean enough. I only cleaned it once but noticed a huge difference on the first time I used it. I could basically blow it off the top  of the PN.

Where on ebay did you find the mouth pieces crohnie? Last I looked yoyokid didn't have them. I hope there is a price drop soon on them.

Yoyokid doesn't have them listed on his ebay account, but he will sell them separately from the WT. $15 shipped in comparison to TRVB $22 shipped.

May I assume that is for 1? I wish that was for two which would make it to me the correct price. Thanks Crohnie, I now remember you had said that a while back that you have to ask.

Oh, they're both stealthy, but I think in terms of appearance, the Pax doesn't really look like what it is. The Pinnacle isn't obvious exactly, but when the mouthpiece on the Pax is pushed in, it looks like a glasses case or something similar. Just blends better, from my perspective. You could toss it in your bag and not worry about it being identified or examined.

Odor-wise, they seem about the same.

Hmmm... Not sure if Oil will increase the boil temp like salt will. Ionic compounds increase water's boiling point - that's one reason to use salt while cooking, makes food cook faster. Oil is a covalent bond and won't mix with water, though the effects of boiling point I am not certain of. If anything it will increase it though. May be why the MP got damaged.

A bit of good news, we are making a lot of adjustments to the Pinnacle based, not in small part, to the feedback from this forum. Some major items will be PRO specific, but others will find there way into the standard package.

We finally had a breakthrough on the PRO electronics to allow some of the more advanced features that people have been asking for. This has resulted in a complete overhaul in electronics architecture, and therefore delayed the release longer than anyone wanted. (It's funny how something that seems so simple can be so hard. But I guess even the wheel was the result of a lot of hard work!) It is still not ready for prime time, but I remain confident!

Why would boiling with oil ruin the mouth piece? It is just oil after all. I think oils boiling point is higher then water so it should have no effect as far as heat. I boiled mine with butter. We do this so the oil in the mp sticks to the butter and the mp gets clean and we get a nice treat. I hope you are replacing the mouth pieces if we can't do that either.

It is great that you have listened and are going to improve the product. Maybe we can get some kind of discount to new parts like mouth pieces if they are improved or even a turn back for an upgrade for a fee.

Ohohohohohohoho goood news Engineer, so all together, we want to know :

- Better autonomy ?
- Better mouthpiece quality / system / attachment ?
- Removable Battery ?

and maybe .... can do oils ?

As the topic has arisen, IMO, for future versions
  • better mouthpiece quality is a must; I have already bought a new one, doesn't seem sustainable
  • removable battery would be a game changer, as current battery really limits the unit; I don't say is is bad as it is, but it defines the ways you can use it. You could sell your special batteries, and a charger for them, I guess.
  • Now, I have to look after my li'l thing: can't use it as a main driver, as I would have to charge it twice a day, and then I would ruin the battery in less than six months; same about mouthpiece, I'd better don't use too much.
  • So...some improvements in those areas would really change the pinnacle: from a super stealth on the go vape, to a wide purpose vape...
  • Again, a personal opinion...

    Good vapors to everyone!!

Yeah but be careful, that makes it seem like you'd get the most life by draining all the way down before recharging. Lithium batteries like to be full, and lose capacity when they're empty so don't be afraid to throw it on the charger when you have time :2c:
thats what i like to do. if i am home i charge after 2 sessions usually
