Ouch! If u combust how can u claim to be all about taste? Maybe we just have different opinions of what taste is. So ure telling me that after u burn a bowl "and clean it right" u can draw through it with nothing in it and its tasteless? I somehow doubt this unless your method is one that nobody else knows about it. Maybe u just have a higher tolerance to the taste, I am super rediculous at keeping glass clean. :peace:

Edit: Damn auto correct
I myself combusted for 10 years, then bought an Extreme Q thanks to help from this phorum. I had a nice double perc that a local blower made for me and had him make a piece to hook my Q up to my double perc. I cleaned the thing so that there is not a dot of resin on it but the tube no matter how much i clean it stays cloudy looking. Not the chamber down at the bottom but the tube above all the water. Is this from years of combusting through the thing or does vapor effect this also? I will never combust again and have been reading through every singe post trying to figure out which bubbler i need for my Q. Thanks to all

Your deposit layers of soil are probably a mix of hard water stains, resins, carbon, vapor residues etc. I would try a good hot soak with PBW. Here is a link to my thread to get you started :)

Nice T-dub! Thak you for the info, I will give a soak with PBW a try. Really appreciate the link. What was the hose hooked up for? Can i just buy some PBW at a local brew shop and put it in my bubbler and add boiling water and let it sit for 20 minutes?? Also saw a brush in the sink of your video, did you use that at all ? I love Eugene and the Ducks! Love living in Bend but my lil bro is going to UofO and my dads company has season tickets for football add that to the fact I am a huge reggae fan and I am in Eugene a lot. :) Bless

Flushing with hot water is extremely effective at cleaning a fritt with no chemicals. It actually forces residue through, up, and out, my flush hose adds an element of safety that I like as well. Here is another thread I started to explain :)

Edit: Use a brush just to lightly dislodge anything that won't just flush away, its usually just specs . . .

That PBW does sound interesting. I've had that white residue, but for me it was strongest by my ice pinch area, not down in the bottom. ISO by itself (even salt) did nothing but ISO + light toothbrush action took care of it for me.

I will try it with hot water and the PBW that sits and then try flushing like you do T-dub. Thanks again!

sorry to everyone else off topic a bit but........T-dub, if you put the cleaner in and then flush the water from the bottom out the top of the water bubbler doesnt this remove the cleaning product rather quickly?? Maybe I am not getting this right.

As the powder dissolves in hot water, beneath the fritt (watch the video starting at 2 minutes) it makes a super-concentrated solution while the tube fills, there will actually be a little powder left over at the bottom during the dwell if you use enough. Make sure to flush everything out really well when finished.

Loading from the top would work as well, simply put the powder in the add hot water on top, you will have to use a cleaning stopper and manipulate it to manage the airflow to transfer fluid from above, to below, the fritt as this wont happen with a stopper in place on the 24/18 adapter side.

I tried this little setup, before bed.

Wow! The smaller volume, which I suspected after watching bOObs go to the dark dab side, really makes a difference and ease in finishing that hit. The extra air volume in some pieces, while smooth as silk... just makes it difficult for me to suck down a dab at this point.

Paid 25$ for the piece at a local headshop. What I like about this is the little water diffusion on the Pax and you hit is through ice.

Cheers
