Hey all,

I have just ordered a PAX via ebay, to be delivered to myself here in the UK. I know this is risky and all, but it seems my only choice as PAX customer servicesw could not give me an idea as to when they may expand to UK markets.

My question is, what kind of plug adapter do I need to ensure I dont blow anything up when charging here in the UK?

Many Thanks

D

Well initial investigations seem to point to me needing something along the lines of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...rh=i:electronics,k:us to uk voltage converter

But I'd need one of those and a plug adapter? Any help greatly appreciated!

You'll just need a plug adapter. The power supply works on 100-240v, so you won't need any voltage converter.

When i tried this it gave me just a few wispy hits, the only way i see to make it work with so little amout, without extra sceens, is to keep the unit upside down to ensure the herb is touching the oven screen. What's your secret?

There's no secret. Neither I nor my wife care for clouds so we don't try to get them. She doesn't hold it upside down, she uses a normal orientation. The hits don't seem that wispy to us, but I guess that depends on what you're used to.

Im trying to constitute a reason to get a second one..

I like to reserve my Pax for special occasions or portable use, because it is so satisfying to fill it all the way up, but yes you do use a lot. (Then your tolerance goes up and you use even more lol)

My favorite method when out somewhere nice is to go to the restroom (I like the handicap stall, gives you some extra space) but I just had a funny experience when one of the waiters walked in as I was walking out and I heard him go "Wooooo smells like some GANJA" but that's the price you pay for a heavy flower sesh ;) no way to get around the smell unless you vape less (and for me that's pretty unlikely lol)

Yes there is. That's the little ring on the stem of the mouthpiece.

I've always wondered if one of those Smoke Buddy things would be worth trying. It would be kind of a pain in the ass to have to carry, but if it works like it claims, it could cut out most of the smell in those types of situations.

I just went to get my Pax off the charger to find the status light flashing green. What does flashing green while on the charging base mean? It's normally solid green after charging or orange during charging.

Taking it off the charger and back on caused it to turn orange for a second or so and then turn to solid green.

Thanks

I've been using a Smoke Buddy for over a year now. The things work great. They also now have a mini version that would probably be great for out in public. The only caveat is that though it covers up the smell of your exhales it can't help with the smell that will still creep out of the Pax itself. Not much will work for that especially while using it. You can make end caps to keep the odor down before and especially after use in public, but there is no way to make it completely invisible (odor wise).

Yeah, I realize that, but it seems like that would be slight enough to not build up too fast in a stall as to alert someone who happens to walk in I would think. I really don't know if that's even true, though. It just seems logical. The permeating odor comes more from the exhale I would think.

Actually, I think there is more smell that would come from the Pax. When you exhale, your lungs have already absorbed a lot of what makes up the odor from the meds. But, what is heating in the Pax is just wafting out with full aromas in tact. At least that's my take...I could be wrong...mileages vary...:)

We're here to fuck shit up.
If you're in a bathroom stall just loosely wrap some TP around the oven end. It helps catch some smell and offers sufficient airflow. Blow your hit slowly into another loose wad of TP or right down the neck of your shirt.

Got my PN water tube in on Monday and just tried it out last night with a .35 of of some wildfire OG. I had not vaped in almost a week and I was vaked as shit. The Pax through water is so refreshing. I end up takimg numerous lung buster moist vapor hits. I thought 100 for such a small piece was pricey but it was worth it.

Thanks for the inspiration and motivation Joe.

that ringing is the motion sensor. it has it built in for turning it to idle, checking battery. shake it, it'll tell ya. green, yellow(ish), and red. you do the math yourself ;) genraly leaves green pretty fast, idk never felt it was a good gauge but better than nothing. I like it for the idle more. it also lets it the last time it was moved, i believe its either 10 mins run time or 10 mins since last movment, not 100% on which one that is. pretty sure its since last movement.

what happens in iddle i believe their are multible stages but it appears to basicly turn off the heating. But i dont think its that stupid i think its got some smarts not to let the stuff cool all the way down.

I can tell you, in an encloses spaced, IE if your in a room or a car(pulled over) the smells their, the smell is their with in 15 seconds of turning the unit on, it cooks it after all. the smell of the cook always gets me fast. and ive been in cars where people know with in 10 seconds that it turned the unit on. Just food for thought for those of you who wondered ;)

yeah I found the same with the uneven burning make sure you have a nice blend and don't pack it unevenly either. i found a keif like blend will get clumpy though and burn unevenly sometimes too, so theirs a fine line.

the parts with more air flow burn up and the parts packed to tight just smolder. its not efficiant, but its portable and super stelthy. you pay for that if you ask me, the VP 2.0 does a nice job of this though, but the oven in that is only a thimble screen. the VP is efficiant but far less stelthy, still more than the solo or some others. still wanna try the devinci my self. but i dont have that kinda money to buy 20 units, i got the VP 2.0 and the pax myself.

just read your link about the ascent. wow, 4 hours? no bs? I call bs on that but glass on glass is nice. i miss the flavor my full size unit has compared to most portables, i found the VP has an awful taste but i havnt resin'd it up yet im sure it'll get better. .
