Onward to Milan
We shall travel cross the seas
And find truths deemed lies.

Six hundred years passed
And his clues remain unearthed
Awaiting us both.

With a brilliant mind
He sketched with pencil and pad
All he envisioned.

And from those sketches
He sought to bring art to life
Inventing new art.

He worked a lifetime
To keep man moving forward
But the body dies.

His mind left behind
Blueprints aplenty, for what?
He must dream bigger.

And so find the clues
To unlock his code and see
The bigger picture.

In Milan, it's said
There's a painting so famous
Its meaning's been lost.

"It is biblical,"
Scholars, or most really, say.
But no, it is not.

Through my peaceful eyes
I see Jesus with bare palms.
He has forgotten.

And there around him
Sit his disciples disturbed
Empty-handed, too.

This, His last supper
May not have needed to be
Had He had the herb.

The world is uptight.
But the herb brings love to light
And Da Vinci knew.

So behind "Supper"
Lay pages and pages more
Explaining it all.

Take this step from one
And that step from that design
And then that one there...

On and on it goes
Listing all that need be done
For it to be born.

He knew he knew how.
But he had not the means then.
But today we do.

So I passed it on
To she who is capable
Of building his dream.

We're counting the days
Till Da Vinci brings the world
Peace and love. Ascent.
