So, when I go to the website and try to buy a couple of GonGs (one in each size, since I have no idea which one will eventually be the "right" one), I get the message that they are out of stock.

Well, no real rush anyway. Still waiting on the dragon.

Enchantre,
Nope. Waiting on that and my replacement GonG. I mean, my WonG is fine and all, but... it's not GLASS, you know?

So your new GonG has pinches?
Kinda. There's a bulge in the middle where the ID is less wide, which keeps the screen in place. It's still possible to flip a screen, but its functionally the same as my first GonG and the screen mostly seems to stay in place.

Are the correct screens .375?

Andy told me he was waiting on some replacement 14mm GonGs last week, the SS screen kind. I was hoping he'd have them back in by now...

What's "the dragon" ?

Are the correct screens .375?

I thought so?

I was hoping for the glass with little holes type, rather than the screen type.

The Dragon is the design that Andy is engraving on my Nano... in Walnut. Last Friday he let me know that he was starting work on it.

Yes, when it arrives, there will be photos. Heck, if Andy could take a really great photo of it before shipping, it would probably look better than my photos! I would have no problem having that posted here. :p

Have you posted the design already? I may have missed it.

I did post a photo that the design is from.

I can tell the story here.

This is a dragon that my husband designed, which he then carefully rendered from plywood. It used to adorn the peak of our house. It has a 42" wingspan. Currently, it is residing inside the house, as we are planning to move, and we took it down to repaint our house.

The back of the dragon has been inscribed with various protective and blessing words/symbols.

My husband reduced it down to a line drawing for the Nano.

Since my Nano needs new wood I am contemplating some custom art this time around. Too bad I stink as an artist! LOL!

Andy, do you recommend any particular variety of wood over another to avoid cracks in the future? Also, is there some kind of wax or something I should be treating my Nano with to avoid this in the future?

I think it was an improperly dried batch of walnut that had the problem. Try a cherry.

I just need to praise Andy for his speedy warranty turnaround. My wood was cracking, I shipped it out to him Saturday afternoon, and I received a beautiful new unit today. Talk about fast.

green2brown,
Up until this point I've been pretty careful about making Solo vs Nano comparisons.

That said, two things I recently noted:

The Solo on direct draw produces much harsher vapor than the E-nano - The Nano is one of the only vapes that I can actually seem to use through direct draw without water filtration. Even at similar temperature levels, the Nano feels smoother to me than the Solo.

The E-Nano smells, or makes the room smell less than the Solo. Now, perhaps this is endemic of all log vapes, but as long as I'm holding hits in/blowing them near a window, the room seems to hold little to no smell with the Nano. I'm not the only one who has feels this way, others have noted it as well. This morning after a short session with the Solo, my vaping room reeked significantly more, and the smell took longer to dissipate.
