hi SA the herb chamber, mesh and mouthpiece can be replaced as can the heat pin and lower mesh(you wanna get rid of that anyway) but it looks like the "heat chamber" is press fit into the unit body
I would benefit if I removed the heat pin or mesh from my II?
Please tell me why?
You can remove the mesh screen in your herb chamber that seems unuseful but let the pin in its place to evenly heat up your herb!

The bottom screen (around the heating pin) is the one that will be excluded in the future. Bottom line-it's more trouble than it's worth, especially since you have to remove the pin to get it out for cleaning or replacement. Screwing the pin back in is something you only want to do once. It's too easy to strip the threads. Really, no benefit has been shown for having the pin screen. The heating pin itself will be permanently fixed in the bottom of the bowl.

Just wanted to update that I have received the replacement Iolite from dieselvapors and it works PERFECTLY! :o

I couldn't be more pleased with this thing. And, my initial run vaporizing some ground 3rd Dimension (3D) was out of this world!

First thing I did was to remove the pin screen. I didn't want to ever have to unscrew the pin again after reading all the bad stories. Then I loaded up the herbs. Within minutes I was feeling fantastic. This 3D makes you see things :brow: and my lungs didn't feel at all fatigued like I do when I use a bubbler or joint/blunt. I'm 3 years off of cigarettes and now I can be clean from all smoke!

Thanks again to dieselvapors for the fantastic service! :peace:

You likely have air built up. Before filling use the smaller end of the center pin removal tool to push down the nozzle where you fill it. Should hear the air bleeding out then give it a fresh fill and see if it fills all the way. I get about 3 uses before having to refill.

My buddy got one of these today and I was VERY impressed. It was smaller and lighter than I thought it would be. We fired it up asap, and we were blowing clouds in no time. I was very surprised how thick the vapor was when you try for a big hit. He took it on vacation and is already running around using it everywhere. I'm hella jealous...gotta get one!!!

I have been using the i-inhale for about 3 months now and overall I love it.

One major gripe I have is that stupid threaded plastic stem. I've broken off 2 of them already. They get very pliable when the unit heats up and if they are bumped, snap, they break off. At $15/piece, I am a little infuriated at this design.

I've looked around at hardware stores for a metal fitting that screws into the hole but have come out empty handed. Does anyone know of a suitable replacement stem that has metal threads? If I have to spend $15 on another stem I am going to freak out. My spare stem just broke and I thought I was going to have to freaking smoke out of a pipe for 4 days until the new stem arrived. Talk about a panic attack. I used some sandpaper and sanded down one of the stem pieces and screwed it into the bowl. The stem is now really short, but thankfully I am still vaping while awaiting the replacement. Talk about frustration...

Other than that, I use it every day as my main vape, and it works great. One big suggestion: KEEP IT CLEAN! The cleaner the stem and screens, the more efficient the device. Before cleaning, I would vape 3 bowls in a night. After cleaning, 1.5 (I save partially vaped bowls for the next day) To clean, I unscrew the stem, take apart the pieces, and soak in 91% ISO. After soaked for a while, I push paper towel through it to remove all the built up gunk. I also remove the screens and soak them. After, I rinse well with water to remove any impurities in the ISO or any chemicals leeched from the plastic as a result of contact with the ISO. Probably overly cautious, but whatever. I will probably save the resin the next time I do it and do an ISO extraction on my shake and AVB at the same time.

One more suggestion, I seem to stretch my material by vaping a bowl in 2 cycles. For the first cycle, I let the unit heat up for 4 cycles and then take about 10 hits. Then I turn it off and let the unit complete cool. Usually by the time it's cooled, I'm ready for another sesh. I find the cooling period is critical in making the second sesh more productive than just continuing the first sesh until the material is total vaped. The clouds on the second sesh are way bigger than the last hit on the first sesh, if that makes any sense.

At the moment there is only one product on the market from this company....they changed the name from Iinhale to Iolite on the outer sleeve but the vape is the same....easy!

!Hi guys,

Had to remove my heat pin due to problems with threading, as I seemed to strip it it inadvertently, so screwing it in is out of the question at this point.

Just wondering as to the options to this predicament. Can it be fastened permanantly somehow, or is it really necessary? Gluing, naybe?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Kerry!

What a difference it makes, removing the bottom screen.

Welcome to the forum, Iolite21...hope you like the place!

I think it would be better if you came up with a user name that didn't include a vape name in it. We have several vape manufacturers here that name their accounts as such and I thought you were one of them when I opened this thread.

It's the "iolite" brand all throughout, from the box to the manual to device itself. The zippered carrying case has no branding at all.

I have a warranty issue. My heating pin became stripped when cleaning the device. I emailed the "general inquiries" address on the iolite site a month or 2 ago and have heard no response.

Does anyone have a customer service contact for Ioilte. I would really like to get this taken care of but can't seen to get a response from the company.

Thanks,

Jeff
