Been here since 2009
Good stuff- My one regret is buying the vapor tamer. After using the SSV daily for a couple weeks now, I find there is just no need for it. And it leaks glycerin, anyways. Fortunately it was only $100

I put an order in for an SSV Rainbow Zen with a purple base and custom ground glass kit, Im extremely excited! UPS says it will be here this friday just in time for 420!!! I also have a Space Case coming tomorrow from Vape World pretty stoked for that as well!

This thread is full of so much helpful info I didn't even need to ask any questions before placing the order, and hopefully wont need to ask any after it gets here. But if I do I know that the awesome FC community will be there to help. Thanks!

for my SSV I got a tool from the tobacco shop for cheap that looks kind of like this:

works great and you can push stuff down with the bent over part

This tool works perfect with the ssv gg wand! Thanks vaporonly!

Welcome to the community Jeremiah. I hope you enjoy the SSV as much as I do.
I'm in the process of selling all my wood working equipment to make room for my medication room.
Time to move up to the next level of Vaporizing Equipment. Both the SILVER SURFER and the LVS will be the main drivers for FLOWERS front and center.
I seriously envy your quiver!

I got nothing better to do is all ataxian. Also we are all in search for the perfect vape which doesn't exist cause they all do things a bit different. You have a favorite meal you eat right? Well do you want that one meal for the rest of your life? I think not. I use different vapes at different times for various reasons. I am glad you are getting with the program of VAS now:clap::)

yeah it works good with the regular wand too.

I haven't posted in this thread yet. I have had my SSV for about six years. It was my first vape and I did a bunch of research on it before making the choice. It amazes everyone who tries it. works like new, after constant use during that whole time.

I really enjoy the essential oil top

back when i bought it the company had a guarantee that nothing on the unit that could break would cost more then $25 to fix if you shipped it to them. does anyone know if that is still true?

So you know this is all new to me. My Neurologist was loading me up on Pharmaceuticals that made me worse so I looked and found a better method with CANNIBAS. I tried to smoke a joint and it made me cough real bad. Vaporizing made it possible to medicate. I'm learning new stuff everyday.

I'm freaking out. My silver surfers knob just broke off. I dropped the bag with it in it and the rod for the dial snapped. Any suggestions. I bought it off Craigslist so I assume I am not under warranty. Would jb weld work.

You could probably fix it yourself, but 7th floor will repair devices outside of warranty for a small fee (I think it's $35ish)
I'd try contacting them to see if they can help you out

The fixed repair fee is 25 dollars.
to fix it would be tricky if the "rod' broke.
it would need to be welded, glued(poor for structural integrity and will wear), or replace with a new rheostat.
There is not a thread for that type of repair.
The repair is purely electrically based and not Vaporization related.
Google "Rheostat"
or "replace Rheostat"

*Edit;
If you have a steady hand, and are skilled with adhesives, you could used epoxy steel to put the rod back (after you pull knob off of it). Then carefully overlap the joined spot with a layer of same... to add to the mass. You will need to leave room for the "rod" to turn freely.

I'm so upset. I have had this thing for like a week and it is completely unusable. There is nothing left to turn the dial. The stem broke off all the way. I'm gonna call 7th floor tomorrow and send it in. How long does turnaround time take to get it back? I'm just so upset with myself

Got the ssv and sc 2 piece as well! Haven't used the fatty but I like packing small amounts then vape, combine the groups, grind and vape a bigger bowl...

I never measured specific amounts, but the fatty wand does hold much more material than the standard wand.

With the Fatty Standard wand, you will get the true chance to angle and aim your Standard wand toward the heat source during use the way it was intended! It holds plenty!

IMO the fatty is only good when you have a lot of weed, even then I dont think the hits are fatter may be even airier, I prefer the Vapor Bros mini whip, which I cut with a glass cutter where it starts to narrow so it is a bigger air path, It milks fat hits,
also to have an ssv and an LSV seem like you basically have 2 of the same vapes in different packages, that is to say that all of the heater covers that fit the SSV & , will fit on the LSV, and vice versa, you might want to check out some of the log style vapes
I Love my SSV, I just got the E-nano , & i love this thing as well, IMO the ssv more reliable, but For using only crumbs the nano might be a lil better, Also now the DVB & SSV have a HC which you can put a nail and take wax dabs, that might the SSV the most versatile Vape around.

Damn, quantity is no issue, but I was hoping the fatty wand would give fattier hits when packed full.

I love my insanely efficient log vape, love my portable electricity free genie, and cant wait to love my fat ripping surfer : ) When I first started perusing this site I read a lot of posts about how you cant stop at just one vape. That there are different styles for different occasions. Its true haha.
