-Hi Frogbmth,

For your response about my question about the tobacco molasses.

Where does one obtain such smoking material? I would like to know what would be some good material to smoke that is legal. Not that I'm against that other stuff!

Thanks in advice!

Kerry- and thanks for your link!

You can find it at any decent tobacco shop. It whats really supposed to be smoked in a hookah so just look for the hookah section heh. Most of the shops around here carry it in many different flavors.

frog nice addition is that one of those pieces where on the inside the smoke swirlls through a guided path so that it cools down more?
Thats the fella ;)

I turned down one of the nylon mouthpiece ends with a dremmell to fit the opening on the J-Adapter so it just slots into the pipe on th II

Where can you buy one of those mix'n'ball J-Adapters? Any information would be appreciated.

Mix n Ball isn't selling pipes now. Not on the site anyway. It was a choice between pipes or PayPal. I'd contact him anyway-info@mixnball.com. Can't hurt to ask.

-Hi Rukis13,

Thanks for your input on the tobacco molasses. I found a site to get some.

I understand that it is very moist.

Do you think it is better to get it dryer before using it in the Iolite?

Thanks in advance!

Kerry, there are a few methods I use to vaporize the molasses. The cleanest is to make a foil crucible, but this only works with the models with removable centre pins

Mostly I now keep the centre pin in place with the lower screen removed and just pop some of the stuff into the chamber. The only molasses I found way too 'wet' is the Al Fakher Grapes, it is good to blot it with some kitchen roll before use unless you like a real intense experience. My favourite is the Al Fakher Cappuccino - its just heavenly. Also, an interdental brush makes cleaning much easier if you don't go for the foil method.

Thanks Frog, for your picture and reply!

I tried some old pipe tobacco that I had in storage for a few years now. It was still very moist, and black in color. I had removed the bottom screen a few days ago after reading this forum.

Very tasty! I just put a few pieces in the chamber to see what what happen. Thanks for your ideas!

Hmm, I love the portability, but for me the taste on the (new) IOlite is sub-optimal, I'm getting a fair amount of plasticy on it. I tied boiling the mouth piece stems briefly, and that help a bit, but I think I need a longer boil.

Any tips for reducing the IOlite fresh out of the box taste?

Hey you guys i recommend that if you can try vapor bonging with this thig its rad.

just go to your local smoke shop and they will usually have those small plastic bongs like this

http://www.jupitergrass.ca/shop/m1miniacrylic.html

and you can fine those for like 10 to 15 bucks and just mod a tubing to the stem or stick it straight in there and act as the stem. (in my photo a few post back)

its been getting me so high and its really fun and if im vaping at home i almost always use the bong

I gotta say Star Trek was sooo much fun with the Iolite last nite, blazed 2 bowls half way thru the movie, gotta say the second one is always cloudier I was getting scared (paranoid) for a moment when I started seeing my clouds on the bigscreen so I started blowing em into my hoodie  The Iolite is perfect for movies perfect! The only downfall is I couldnt figute out a good way to reload in the dark, just gotta find the right size container I guess!

Heres a method i use to reload the IO, works great.

Just keep your material pre-ground pre-dried and keep it in one of those orange pill bottles, the skinny ones.

Then i just take off the cap to the pill bottle and use the pd straw method to fill up the IOL bowl. Easiest method i have found so far.

I recently thought of something that I feel would be a great accessory for the IoL.

Picture a refillable butane canister about the size of a chapstick (that way one could buy a large canister of quality butane and bring just enough to fill the IoL a few times--it would fit nicely in the IoL case with the unit and ones herbs) :brow:.

Please let me know if anyone has ever seen any such thing :D.

Hello all,

Ive been using the I-Inhale since February 17, and and have loved it for the most part. The only issue I really have with it is the after effect on my lungs. After about 30 day of use I experienced fairly uncomfortable lung soreness for 2-3 days. This was in mid-March. Since then I have vaped everyday with the II multiple times per day and have felt fine until last night when the lung soreness returned.

I have never felt lung uncomfort like this before even when i was continutally takin massive bong rips and such back in the day. I was an herb smoker for 4 years and have completely switched to the use of the II in the past 3 months. I dont somke or use any other substances besides Colorado's finest green.

I guess I am just curious to see if anyone else gets lung discomfort/slight pain from II use. I made the switch from smoking to vaping but am concerned about this new lung soreness. Any thoughts or similar experinces anyone? Has anyone else had similar issues with different vapes? I think I may be just fighting to keep the vapor in my system too long and straining my lungs in the process causing this pain.

I probably should just not use it 3-4 times a day everyday I know, but that is kinda the purpose for me. I am beginning to think the II is not suited as an everyday vape for me. Regardless of the aformentioned issues I still highly recommend the II. It get me where I want to be for sure.

Finally, this site is the shit. I would not have quit smoking so soon if it werent for the people on this site. Thank you FC! Shout out to all the Colorado vapesters. Peace.

Hey Gators. What do you mean our site is shit? jus kiddin..

I've noticed, at times, that the inhale/iolite is harder on my lungs than the PD, which is what I mostly use. All I can advise is that you try slower and shorter draws. As for vape hits being worse than bong rips, I haven't found that to be the case with any vape I've used. Any vape is much easier on my lungs than smoke was. It's why I turned to vapor in the first place. It's certainly easy to overdo with vapor though, since it's so much milder than smoke.

The reason why you are experiencing this is because some of the chemicals in herbs are hygroscopic and if they are not already attached to water molecule will absorb moisture from your lungs and this is why you get soreness and coughing when smoking or vaping dry material.

The easiest solution would be to get a vapir water tool kit and vape with that to add moisture and ease the soreness.

Even better would be to get a humidipak (http://www.humidipak.com/) and add a good amount of moisture to the herb/hash but it will make the vape session a little longer because the water has to vape off first but it will be more tasty than dry.

Right on. Im pretty sure I am just taking draws for too long and holding them in way too long for my own lungs. "Over doing it" possibly. The initial draw does not hurt my lungs with the II/IO, I believe it is just a case of the "over-clenching" of my muscles. Also, i should have mabe it clear it is certainly not as harsh as any sort of combustion. I just have never felt this type of lasting soreness or anything close with somking herb. I have converted to strictly vaping and will purchase either the SSV or DaBuddah in the coming months possibly. Thanks for the advice.

Hi Folks,

We are very sorry but we haven't had much of a chance to come on to this site to respond to questions because we have been extreamly busy with international commitments. We will be spending some time to respond to all the important questions and interesting pictures in the coming days.

@ Gators15

We have never seen anything like this before.
Have you used any cleaning products to clean the herb chamber of the iolite vaporiser?

All the Best
The Team @ iolite
I have not cleaned the chamber or any other part of the device with any sort of chemical. Not even water. Just a metal sewing needle to clear screens and the provided cleaning tools. I dont think it is the device so may be I'm posting in the wrong place? I feel I may be incorrectly over-exerting my lungs while using my II. Your thoughts are appreciated. Great product! Well worth my $200. Thanks!

Try taking puffs with your mouth instead of huge lung inhales. This way the vapor has a chance to cool down and possibly pick up a little moisture. It's also easier to appreciate the flavor. Basically hit it like a joint instead of a bong.

That said, your lungs could be sore for any number of reasons and no one here can properly diagnose the problem for you. If you're concerned you should consult a physician.
