PS, I really dont understand why it says it's fully charged but won't actually power up... I can make a video to show this and I've dis and reconnected the battery several times too.
My guess is one of the two batteries has packed in, basically zero capacity. Charges fast because it has almost no capacity. Like a flattened gas tank in your car, the gauge might say 'full' but that no longer means 16 gallons, you might not make it 16 miles....
The fact you're getting the light show indicates you're going through a total power failure. I got it only by unplugging the battery. The processor 'goes to sleep' in that it shuts everything off but I suspect it still has to monitor the push button so it knows when to come back to life.
It could always be dead because the charge circuit inside it has failed, but I think that's a long shot, my money's on mister battery.
