Discontinued Inhalater XP

I'd have to say this vape is a beast. Mine got shipped out last Friday and I got it this past Monday in cali. It hits amazingly and has excellent vapor production. I generally get 10 to 12 hits per capsule at 5 or 6. what is everyone else's average hit per capsule? Mine is the one with 2 holes on each side. I do notice the unit does get a bit hot if my vapors hit my lips directly even with the hygienic tube on, doesn't anyone else get this?

edit: to change hours to hits lol

Average hit? As many as I want. That's the beauty of this thing. You can spend a capsule in less than two minutes or stretch it out for a nice 15 minute session. It's all in the temp, and you'll find your sweet spots in a little while.

As for the lip heat, yes I get this to. It's a side effect of the convection heating that is going on. You'll get used to it.

I was just using my XP today, and towards the end of a session, it just started blinking without any heating, and just blinked. so i turned it off for about an hour and just came back to it and now it is working again. Has anyone else experienced this?

do your guys XP ready light blink when you are hitting it? No matter how lightly i hit it, the light starts to blink, still get great vapors though. Just wondering if its normal

I got one from the same batch as you. I use it on 2-3 and i will get about 15-20 good hits, and another 10 or so pretty good hits after that, and even more if I pack it tightly. I have found that when i use it through a water piece I have it between 4 and 6, and it tends to get larger hits, but less of them.

Can anyone tell me what the temperature settings are on the XP? I've seen conflicting figures from several sources. Thanks!

Also...I'm hearing different dates about when the next batch of XPs will be available.

I don't know if it's normal but I have the same thing with my xp, works like a charm but whenever I take a draw, no matter how slow, the light starts to blink for re heating.

The blinking light is normal just like the solo although you can draw real slow with the solo and not get it. That is just about impossible with the INH so I am assuming it is the same with the xp. Crohnie, I think you are getting conflicting reports because there is no real answer. The INH had a real answer but with the xp they keep changing the heat settings since it was running hot. Just go with what feels comfortable. If I had to guess just from reading I would say 2 is more then likely in the 370-375 range.

Maybe when the battery needs to be charged.

I can hit the XP and the light wont start blinking right away unless the battery is dying. If the light starts blinking while I'm hitting it I can get it to go back solid again while still hitting it.

I sometimes get that too. I usually just turn it off and turn it on again and it heats up like normal. Don't know if this was a common issue or not but I have not experienced any huge problems.

where the polymide folds and its one layer over an other...anyone has cleaned that place properly?

i have been wondering about that. it looks as if there is something between the layers... maybe a food grade adhesive or something?

ill be glad when the capsule prices come down. i know Pharma had said in the past that they would be reducing the price on the caps.

agreed on all points

i find that early in the session the LED is much more prone to blinking. this is because even though the LED went solid, the XP is still heating up. if you are using longer sessions you will see that after its nice and warmed up, that you can pull pretty hard on it before any blinking occurs.

yes its telling you the temp is dropping and the heater is working to maintain temp. totally normal.

There have been no official posted settings. Its a continous dial from 0-9. set it where you like it.

having temps is useless as all vapes are different.

It flashes less after a while because of heat soak of the rest of the thermal mass of the device. makes total sense.

Well it looks like my replacement XP is dead. Has a nice session yesterday with no issues. Went back later in the evening to finish off the capsule, nothing. Tried plugging the charger in, no light, nothing. Tried turning it on with the charger plugged in, both lights would light up for one second then nothing. This is VERY frustrating. Neither of my units lasted more than 3 weeks. I will most likely seek a refund at this point. It's a shame, such a great vape when it works.

I can feel the switch on mine starting to get that squeeky/grindie feeling like the old one had so I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before it goes out. Pharmacore did say that the new batches, that haven't been sent out yet, will have a different switch from a different manufacturer. So I will still give them another chance if mine goes out. I totally understand your frustration tho.

wow that sucks. ive been using the stock charging cable setup and some other cables with usb adapters... still working like its brand new.

unfortunately im not sure we can rely on these vapes to be as polished as say other consumer electronics when it comes to reliability. its a small industry with small companies making them. XP, pax, or any new electronic vape are all going to have their issues it seems. at least at this point in the game.

im sure pharmacor will get this sorted and will have solid replacements in everyones hands soon.

I totally understand I the nature of this market. I was hoping this replacement would be without issue, but that is not the case. Unfortunately I'm one of those paranoid people who won't ship a used product back through customs. I don't want to be that one guy they make an example out of. Because of this I think I need to deal only with US companies and avoid the whole customs thing in the first place. Pharmacor is a great company who I would like to deal with in the future, once the reliability issues are resolved.

Ouch.... I feel for you. I hope my new one lasts a long time.

Thats not good. I could feel that on one of my XP's and it died the next day!
