I was transferring it from dwell vessel to sink and it slipped right out of my clinched hand. Oh well, salt+iso is not as slippery when handling glass itself but PBW is slippery. I still use PBW but am extra careful with anticipation of how slippery it can be, and I continue to use salt+iso too for areas that PBW may not work on.

The Clear Reti bubbler arrived from Kulture today (ordered it Monday evening of last week). It took about 6 business days to get here from VA to California. The bubbler is beautiful, solid mp joint, large volume and super low drag, it really works well. I can't wait to get back to testing it some more. Here are a couple videos, first is a few air hits and second shows the VXC+bubbler working in concert together.

Edit to add a few comments and pics: This bub and cloud and me have been getting a work out, wow, each different strain with its own great flavor delivered on tap, she just purrs thru short draws long draws whatever thrown at her, just over the top really with all of that volume and then Bam it just clears in a blink.

Aqua Lab formed me that my mobius ion matrix had not been shipped yet, due to a defect in the product. I was also informed that a replacement piece was being overnighted. A very hospitable staff, and some bee-line assured me that all will be good in the proverbial hood. please ALT dont do me dirty baby....

Damn dude I was thinking you would probably have got it too today, since you ordered before I did :( . I guess I just got lucky. :\

RB420 - A lot found that adding water to the bottom of the California sandblasted logo gives best diffusion.

Also - funny with the ELB.:lol: My dad did that earlier today and I've caught myself twice before almost doing the same thing!

It actually is at the bottom of the California logo. I'm going to try a bunch of different levels, see what I like.

Yeah, I guess the second cap was sticking out too far, hit a small reduction and got stuck. Pulled both of them out. :doh:

Arg, so pissed I missed the Mobius rush on ALT last week. As an international customer I kept looking for lots of small shit to add to ammortise the $60 shipping it slugged me with, and the rapid cart timeout kept emptying my cart while I was still picking things (seems you can't leave it alone for more than 30 min or so), and when I finally had a finalised list, the only tubes left were a matrix disc and a matrix nano, and I wanted a matrix ion. :c Probably would have even settled for the clear.

Oh well, I have a wishlist set up and populated now, so next time I can pull the trigger immediately. Here's hoping they list new releases on 4/20, and maybe some extra stock, and I can pounce on that shit.

HOLY LUNGS, BATMAN!! You and Vitolo should have contest who can milk a bub the longest but whoever is recording is going to make sure their video camera is completely charged. Nevertheless, sweet combo dude!

ha, Vito/SliM would win hands down, that took some lung exercising for me however it is fun going for it and really enjoy the quick head change and elevation climb out. 2 ELB rips like that and I'm good to go/done. When there is more time to relax and chill then I cache that same ELB in 2 to 3 smaller hits each about ~25 sec.

Very stable however not as stable (nor durable) as your Ion imo. The Ion has a base that is much thicker and wider compared to the Clear, also Cloud sits lower on Ion. The Clear has the volume I wanted and the smooth curved out-and-in contour of can-to-base style that really appeals to me. Having a clear all around view of the perc is pretty nice too.

I agree, it is a really special piece IMO! They also had a reti in same style (like previous member posted a while back) but I like the performance of the matrix perc too much to let this one slip away. It was really cool seeing so many Mobius pieces all in one place, so many subtle variations in sizes for the Ions.

I was worried about not being able to see inside the can (for feedback) but there are spots where it is perfectly clear on the top making it a non-issue.

Gratz! I've got the same sandblasted Ion only the Reti version.
One thing I noticed a few days ago is that they are signed and numbered!
The sig was really hard to see, and I only noticed it on accident as I was cleaning it.

Bet if you look really hard you'll find yours is signed and numbered too :)

It says "6 of 15" and is signed "circle". My lucky number even. Thanks for letting me know, might not have ever seen that! I think it was your post a while back that got me so interested in this series but never thought I would find one.

Contacted ALT, they say they can't do a straight exchange, only exchange for something else or issue a refund. I don't know how this made it out the door, with the reputation that Mobius has for quality.

Too bad the guy who inspected my bubbler before shipping didn't pull it and get another one overnighted to them to fill the order like they did for C-weed.

Any advice on what I should do?

Not a happy situation, but it sounds like ALT has given you some options that will work.

As for advise... It just depends on how much you want that Mobius. If you know that is the piece you want, stay true to your desires, take the refund and wait for another Mobius - the wait will just make the acquisition that much sweeter. On the other hand, if you are just looking to satiate your GAS then see what ALT will offer you in exchange.

Hope it all works out well for you :)

Sorry to here of your situation. As DreamTime suggests, if your set on a Mobius then take the refund and wait.

Do the blemishes affect its performance? Though they might effect resale value, you could always just keep it.

I really want the Mobius. Some of the blemishes are or were bubbles at some point. If you make the pic full size, they become more obvious. Some I just don't know what they are. Most are not really that visible at 1:1 magnification.

I'd probably just keep it if it weren't for the two flea bites right on the rim of the joint that are clearly visible to the naked eye. At first I thought they were just specks of dust from the packaging, but then I ran my fingernail around the rim and it caught on those two spots. So I took a picture and saw just how bad it was. My fear is that those two tiny chips will eventually spread.

Another fear I have is that even if I take a refund and wait, I may come across a similar problem. Because I don't know if this kind of thing is really rare or if Mobius quality control is getting worse as they become more popular and need to push out more product.

The mouthpiece joint to the can on the Ion I just received is pretty bad as well. I've decided to keep it and see what happens. I've been through the ALT return process before and I don't think I want to do it again. However, it is worth it if you are just looking for a refund. Don't expect quick resolution though, it'll took me a few weeks.
