Lets be helpful and happy
Let's be on topic. Helpful and happy are optional. ;)

The Vaporstore rep told me he likes the Inhale as well as some full sized home units (didn't say which ones), but my problem with it is that I have hard time determining when the bowl is done, and that makes being efficient with the herb a not so tasty experience. OTOH I'm finding that cleaning the vape is easier than I thought it would be. The bottom screen, with the heating pin, is staying very clean and only the bowl and mouthpiece require cleaning.

I've been using mine without the moisture condenser, and have had no issues. It's supposed to decrease heat when using moist herb, but the piece of tubing I'm using seems to do the trick.

what should u go off of instead of FDA approval when looking for safe products?

I'm not saying it's not a plus to see 'FDA approved' on a material. But it has to be used for the purpose for which it's been approved. Do you know that drug companies, in trying to squeeze every bit of profit out of a drug, are telling doctors that a particular drugs can be prescribed for conditions other than the ones they were approved for by the FDA? And some doctors are listening.

"Three class action claims alleging that Warner-Lambert Co. and its merger partner, Pfizer Inc., marketed a drug for off-label use to treat medical conditions not approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration have survived partial summary judgment following the judge's ruling earlier this month.

The plaintiffs in the class action allege that the drug company defendants conducted a campaign to promote the prescription of its Neurontin drug and its generic equivalent, gabapentin, for a number of medical uses not approved by the FDA, according to court papers.

During the class certification hearing, the plaintiffs produced evidence that the defendants unlawfully promoted Neurontin to physicians for off-label use, despite the lack of scientific proof that the drug was effective in treating those conditions, Bernstein said."

And the FDA is not the godlike entity a lot of people think it is. They've approved multiple drugs that were later pulled from the market because they killed thousands of patients. You'll have to pardon me for being a big skeptic of the FDA and Big Pharma, as well as some other government agencies. After all, according to Big Brother, cannabis has no medical value. :/

Oglesby and Butler are using some high tech, expensive materials. Unlike the Vapir Mini, there's never any plastic smell so that you have to do a 'burn in'. So they definitely did their homework. I'm just not sure what's safe anymore when it comes to man made products. Even when government and companies try their best to make products safe, they still often get it wrong. Lots of stuff has been banned after being 'approved' and on the market for years-'oops, I guess we better ban this stuff. It's killed a few too many people.'

I use the Inhale for portable situations where I need stealth, pocket availability, and/or quick start up. I hope materials and constuction are up to par, safety wise, for that use. Hopefully I'm just paranoid. :uhoh:

Precisely, me neither.

That's why I would always be skeptical of the I-Inhale.

I understand their is a lot of R&D in this, but has their been any long term studies?

Hopefully it is just a healthy paranoia (no pun) and we have nothing to worry about. Considering all of the chemicals around us (keyboards, frying pans, cups, forks, carpet, chairs, combs, soap, clothes, etc.) I don't think we have a whole lot to worry about, especially when compared to the alternative of smoking.

Yea you guys read my mind... :uhoh:
Ive always felt that way toward man made products, if they're safe or healthy.
Thats probably my one big negative for the i inhale, just the pet peeve of having those man made plastics be that hot(190c). But i mean i wish the FDA were stricter on what they pass as "safe" because max is right about they releasing "safe" drugs but then kill thousands of people, it's really ironic when they keep medical cannabis illegal.

The FDA passed that new plastic with the code 7, and they found out way after passing it that it has a cancerous substance can leach into food or liquid. :o It kinda angers me that this kinda shit is happening and then when it happens it's just like they brush it off their shoulders.

Do you get any wand hash build up like on a direct draw whip with this? Maybe some on the tubing?

some but i throw it away or it gets cleaned in the 99% iso alc bath

EDIT/ Christ i thought this was the PD thread...:ko:....well if the stem(bowl)is somewhat like the PD then i agree with the above^(i dont own an i-inhale)

Neither the Inhale nor the PD loses enough vapor to condensation to make recovery worthwhile.

I love that wand hash but for a quality portable its worth the give and take. At least you dont have to worry about getting busted for a dirty tube hehe.

Yo I just ordered from Vaporstore!

I shall be waiting with baited breath until it comes in this week!

I'm so excited about how stealthy everyone says this is!

It seems the future is here :)

The Vape of Things to Come
After nearly a week of ownership, my only gripe with the machine seems to be the poor heat dissipation after the vapour leaves the chamber.

If the pipe had a metal mid-section, then that would help by providing a substantially more effective heat-sink, cooling the vapour before it hits your mouth.

It's not a big enough problem to make me stop using the device, but I a little surprised at the heat tolerance we are all expected to possess.

Anyone else feel the same?

"poor heat dissipation" is to be expected in a light weight, palm sized, mostly plastic unit.

"If the pipe had a metal mid-section" Another question for the I-Inhale rep. We'll see if we eventually get some answers here to our questions. I'm sure the company reps are in 'sell mode' right now.

"It's not a big enough problem to make me stop using the device, but I a little surprised at the heat tolerance we are all expected to possess. Anyone else feel the same?" I assume you're using the mouthpiece extension? That does help quite a bit IMO. I use a 6" piece of tubing in place of the supplied extension, which helps a lot. Vaporstore feels so strongly about the plus of adding tubing that they supply a piece with the Inhale kit.

I just took one for a test spin--or vice versa. haven't vaped much but i feel a better effect than when spending the same amount of material in a bubbler. i'm assuming that "0" is off and "1" is on? Seems like a dumb question, but I'm not familiar with that manner of stating the state of the power, and the directions didn't specify which indicated which!

Another question: It seemed like it took about 5 minutes (with the bowl and mouthpiece unit unattached) for it to stop hissing and cool down (it didn't get hot--just warm). Is this normal?

Last question: I haven't used butane much--is it full when it seems like there is no more pressurized liquid coming out of the butane container? I spilled some on the unit at first, but after that it must have filled because i used it for about 15 minutes and it certainly worked!

If anyone who has one or has used one could respond, I think that would help any newbies out there. Though I don't have much of a frame of reference, so far i'm pleased.

Welcome to the forum cmac

Yep. It's binary. It's how digital circuitry works-complicated logic gates all based on ones and zeros.

A couple of minutes maybe. It's normal. It doesn't matter if the herb chamber is left connected during shut down.

I haven't used butane much--is it full when it seems like there is no more pressurized liquid coming out of the butane container?
It's hard to tell. About 10 seconds should give you a good charge. I haven't been a big butane user either. One thing I would do that can help-when the vape is out of butane, hold down the injector with a pen tip or something to make sure there's no trapped air.

An option you have with this vape is to remove the moisture condenser from the mouthpiece. That will increase airflow.

I would say buy it from vaporstore.com and do a search for the i-inhale. You will see two of them. The second is the preferred customer price of $199. Anyone can buy using it.

I also wanted to let people know that I need replacement screens. I have been needing them for a while now since i tried (like and idiot) putting nothing but keif in it. Well it melted and got all gunked up on all inside the mouthpiece. I ended up having to replace the two screens. After a while of using it I ended up losing one screen in the mouthpiece when I blew the stuff out so I managed to find the closest size screen to fit inside the mouthpiece part. The other screen on the pin seems to stay quite clean however I do want to change it some day. I have been asking the people at I-Inhale about the parts and they are stating they needed to get the packaging together on it before they start selling it. I decided to check on the parts today and saw they have replacement screens, but guess what! They are $41.61 plus about $20 for shipping for 3 screens! I call that highway robbery and I hope they resolve this. I mean come on. Screens cost about $1 for a pack of 10. The little metal disc cannot cost $39 I am sorry.

Screen prices have dropped to $6.28 on the I-inhale site. Shipping for parts was never $20. That's shipping for the vape. Currently a screen, mouthpiece and herb chamber is about $51 delivered. Better pricing and lower shipping costs are available at vaporstore.com. Prices aren't available on their site yet, so you'd have to call them. They're selling a pair of screens for $10 and the chamber/mouthpiece for $25. Personally I'd never pay even the vaporstore price for screens. It's too easy to modify a standard screen.

Vaporstore is only selling demo units for $200 now. I'm seeing new units go for that price on eBay with 'best offer' though.

That is good to know. I called Vaporstore.com and they are very helpful. I-Inhale is still trying to find packaging and such before they get everything settled in terms of prices. I am still waiting for their response to my numerous calls and emails. I am hoping this non response is due to the holidays.

Vaporstore will be the best option for inhale parts in the US, at least initially. Poor response from Oglesby has been the norm even before the holidays. :/ Vaporstore is aware of that problem too. Hopefully things will improve. I don't think the company, being new to the vaporizer world, is aware of how important customer service is to us vaporists.

Shame too, Inhale seems like it could be the best portable option of its class. I hope the customer service is just a pre holidays thing but as Max pointed out there has been reported issues with them before the holidays. It makes it difficult to recommend people to check them out when they have bad cs.

At this point O & B has cornered the market for the affordable stealth portable (yeah I know 'affordable' is a relative thing). I bought one due to presale pricing and strong desire for the stealth. But if they get some competition down the road they better get their act together. I've already heard from Vaporstore that the Inhale sales have dropped considerably since it hit the market.
