Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Damn, I was waiting for your review!

It seem like they need to redo the Web for the warranty of international clouds. I think you would be better contacting them through his Web.

I can tell you a bit out my first impressions. Supposedly i have the cloud plus model.
a few things surprised me.

These are more observations by the way just mainly opinion based..

1. It still gets REALLY hot despite a supposed heat-shield.
Like it's not the point where it's painful but it's like holding a cup of tea hot or something.
Like if this is it with the heat-shield then it must of been a near torture device for previous users!

2. I tested out pulling from it and sometimes it makes a really loud whistling noise..
However sometimes it doesn't. Sort of random but it can be really loud and annoying.

3. It feels really well constructed to me, looks nice, i really like the design of the vapexhale logo on the front and the hydratubes look very sleek.

4. Depending on what angle i'm hitting the thing from it can sometimes be in a position where it blocks
all airflow and i can't hit it properly. Is this normal? Seems weird to me.

5. I tried feeling like it was to take a hit without any material in it haha (hey don't judge, i've waited 2 years for this thing) i'm assuming this is something that shouldn't be done because there should be a padding of weed in place for the heat to absorb. but anyways i took a fake test hit to see what the airflow was like and it burnt my lip! lol (at 12 aclock)

6. It definitely seems hot to me. Vaping at 12 seems like overkill at the moment. I may stick around 9-10 likely. I read some people vape at 4... is that even vaping? o.O

7. The cord is stupidly short. The design for this makes no sense. Me and my friends will basically have to huddle around the closest powerpoint and i couldn't imagine feasibly passing this thing around without some sort of extension cord.

8. There's scratches and paint chips. NOT what i'd expect for a vape at this price-point.

9. Also about the heat, the screws on the side of the unit get really hot.

10. Heat up time seems pretty fast. Appears to beat my volcano.

11. No proper packaging. This isn't a big deal i guess but i find it weird to buy something this expensive and have it come in a brown box with packing-peanuts. Like any other vape on the market comes with a nicely designed box with some information about itself. The Vapexhale came in a brown box with no user-manual. If I didn't know anything about the cloud (Which luckily i do) i'd be like wtf..
I think the user manual not being there was a fault on AusVapes part because they do have it listed..
Personally i don't care much.

12. This is a bit off topic a less of a first impression and more just something i noticed but the guy at ausvapes himself says he prefers the Volcano.
And youtube vape reviewer TheBestVaporizer says the same.

13. At the moment i still haven't properly tested it so i can't give a full analysis on which is better Vapexhale Cloud or Volcano. Personally i think i'm going to go with the vapexhale.
People are making some silly complaints comparing the two in my opinion though. The main one i hear is that the volcano tastes better but i think that's just cause there's no water filtration. I'd like to try hitting the Vapexhale Cloud dry and seeing how it pairs against the volcano. In my opinion fresh vapor through glass tubing MUST be better than stale vape through plastic bags. The main reason i got the cloud is cause i found the whole bag system annoying, it's mainly more for parties, not for solo seshes. The Vapexhale Cloud seems like a doper option for solo things. Less easy to use and more fragile but in the end a better experience potentially. My main issue with the volcano was NOISE. When the volcano pumps air it's loud, the bags themselves are made out of this plastic that's really loud. And in the end i'm usually just waiting for this loud machine to fill and a noisy bag so i can hit it through my waterpipe.

Now instead i think i'll be able to surpass those issues and just be able to quietly take nice fresh hits with my cloud hooked directly into my waterpipe.

Anyways sorry for going on heaps long.
Just hopefully that helps people thinking about buying the cloud.
Those are my critical first impressions.

Make sure you are not blocking the air intake on the bottom.

according to troi any problems you want to use the support portal. there is also a number on the website. I would email the website where you bought . My old ticker,sn 0030, mellowed out quit a bit as far as heat after the first night of course i dropped the temp down to 9 the next day and still got huge clouds with clean elb and reasonably dry medicine. there is a vids somewhere early. I use my large stemless so the heat thing is no problem.

Also another thing is i thought the Vapexhale Cloud Plus models were supposed to come with a little silicon heat shield thingy you could put on? Mine didn't come with this.

Received my cloud early this morning. Would you believe they forgot to pack the EZ Load Bowls!
OHHH what a tease.. what a damn tease....
Sometimes i actually run my Cloud with an empty ELB but it also works without an ELB. If you have access to adapters like the below perhaps you could test your cloud even before the ELBs arrive.
tT6Lh1I.jpg

I've used the left 18mm female-to-14mm male adapter with screen inside upright with bubblers with 14mm female joints and the cloud upside (high heat). For bubblers with 18mm female joints, used the adapter on right in addition.

that heat shield thingy is not for plus models. it was a workaround for the heat issues of the older models.

Ahhk thanks for clearing that up.

I have pipe screens like the ones you use in that however i want my first time christening it to be proper.
the ELB's are being sent via express post within the country and should be here tomorrow morning. So i'll wait patiently now ^_^. Thanks for all the help and advice guys.

That's a bummer about having to wait for the elb's. As a potential international customer and also long time volcano user I'd be interested to see how you get on.
I'am so close to buying one of theses but some of the points you raised would kinda of annoy me at the price point the cloud is sold at.
Also not loving the idea of having to send it back to America if there's something wrong with it would be better if the international distributors could sort things out themselves. In a country were weed is still illegal I just don't feel comfortable sending a used device through customs etc

Yeah i agree 100%, i have proper isopropyl alcohol so if i did have to send it through i'd have to do a full on proper wash. I think people have posted some tutorials on here regarding it.
Well i did the only test i could do at the moment which was testing heat up times.

From my experience i found the vapexhale cloud vs volcano in heat up times (both set to 12 although i think 12 is hotter than the volcano's 12aclock *5 on the volcano*)
Vapexhale Cloud Plus takes 1 min and 40 seconds to be ready
Volcano Vaporizer takes 4 min and 35 seconds to be ready.

So right off the bat that's a fair improvement in time!
I've also noticed if you turn the volcano off it seems to take ages to get back to the heat
even though you just recently turned it off.. Where as the vapexhale cloud seems to get back to it's original temp within seconds.

Apparently the international distributors are trying to get vapexhale to allow them to do their own warranty claims but not as yet. This may be the deal breaker for me, especially as there have been a few teething problems, and I don't have the best of luck when it comes to electrical goods. Think I might wait for the cloud plus plus, and get the lsv instead.
Although I'll proberly change my mind again in 5minutes
Look forward to your report MGG when u get your elbs

It's a deal breaker for me! I don't care about customs but I do care about the cost to send to states every time something goes wrong!! That and the fact people have in stock but can't sell yet

Surely I wouldn't be responsible for postage costs to the states, wouldn't the international distributer bear that cost? Customs wouldn't bother me if the legal situation in the uk wasn't so backward

I'm fairly certain you are expected to cover the shipping fee's :/.
I'd imagine Vapexhale if they find your vaporizer to be genuinely faulty they will
chuck in some extra ELB's or something to cover the cost a bit.. :(

Thats a great question about foreign distributors covering the cost of shipping. I don't believe there is a big mark up on vaporizers so I would imagine they would have to work that cost into the price. Hmmm - I'm curious to see what happens. I do know that if you have a failed unit in the states you are responsible for shipping both ways to VXC. It's not so uncommon that this is the case, when I returned other vapes that broke I was responsible for shipping.

My experience has always been that I pay to send the item, and they the return. Is the first time that I see that the user with a broken unit and in warranty pay both ways. In fact I used the warranty of my Iolite 2 times and both times they payed the return and added free stuf because I had to pay to send the vape to them

I've never paid return shipping on my Cloud returns. I've only paid to ship it to them.

Wow - Ogelsby and Butler is one of the companies I was referring too - those SOB's charged me for round trip shipping. So did the people from Magic Flight.

Mine whistles when I don't have and elb in, but as soon as I throw one in it shuts up. I bet it must be the same in your case :)

Also they are supposed to come with a manual as far as I know. I know I got one. Just two pages but said everything you needed to know. Even the 8 Commandments of VapeXhale Cloud. I follow them as if my religion.

Interestingly, the original whistles at a different pitch than the Cloud Plus. I think the bamboo is slightly different; without actually measuring it, the narrowest portions of the bamboo appear to be different diameters.

If they are all unique, at the cannabis festival perhaps people with musical talents could entertain a crowd with several units. lol :)

Yep, I could use my first gen cloud as an interrogation tool if I really needed too.

It will do this when the tube is cold or your pulling without an ELB in there.

5. Yeah... bet you won't be doing that again eh?

Yep, and it tastes incredible too!

Take this as a time to get a surge protector with a long a cord. You want to have this device on a surge protector at all times. I know the feeling though, short cords suck

8. There's scratches and paint chips. NOT what i'd expect for a vape at this price-point.

Whaa? Really? How bad are they?

9. Also about the heat, the screws on the side of the unit get really hot.

Yeah, unfortunately that is still an issue. Two silicone wristbands around them are my best solution.

12. This is a bit off topic a less of a first impression and more just something i noticed but the guy at ausvapes himself says he prefers the Volcano.
And youtube vape reviewer TheBestVaporizer says the same.
I'm sure they do, since they'll make five times the markup off of a Volcano then a cloud. And I would not trust anyone who names themselves "thebestvaporizer" as it is patently false to pretend there is or ever will be one.

People are making some silly complaints comparing the two in my opinion though.

Yeah, most of these discussion turn away from being actual discourses on the differences and nuances between the unit to a my-team-vs-your-team pissing contest. The point is, they are entirely different device, servicing entirely different niches and comparing them directly is an exercise in futility. Those who prefer water bonging their vapor are going to swear by the Cloud. The people who like bags are going to go for the Volcano. And everyone is going to be arguing for the vape they personally own. You will get no valuable information from such a comparison.

So i got my Cloud Plus back and all i can say is "Wow!" it runs really, really well. I had forgotten just how much of a beast this vape is. it blew my mind all over again.

My new Cloud + is running nice and warm. I think 3:00 is a bit too hot for me now. im back down to 1:30-2:00 and its still quite dark. 3:00 is almost getting charred. it is very much like my orginal ticker temp range. Awesome!

it heats up way faster. i havn't tried it right when the light turns green but its def up to full power in well under ten minutes. and it seems to change temp really fast too. I can turn it all the way down when i leave the room for a bit and it doesnt take long at all to get back up to high temp (i figure this might help prolong its life). It also doesnt get too hot to hold like the old ones did. there really is no need for bands or any other extra heat shielding, even after being on for hours at a high temp (ok, the screws are still hot, but ive long since trained myself not to hold it there). Being used to the originals it seems somehow wrong when its putting out soooo much vapor but not burning my hands.

This Cloud Plus has the best fit and finish of any Cloud ive seen. The heat shield has no marks, the bamboo is at the correct height, and even the two halfs of the case are almost perfectly aligned.

The new knob is very nice and the short cord still sucks.

if anybody remembers my orginial posts, i had some customer service related issues with VXH. in retrospect, it seems like everytime VXH had some growing pains or a CS hick-up, I was stuck in the middle. While there was def a long wait, I am extremely happy to say that VXH did reach out to me and really smoothed everything over. I would have no trouble highly recommending this company to anybody I know.

I want to say that when I originally got my Cloud+ i needed to keep it almost at 3:00 but then something weird started happening just recently. As in, I was getting black ABV (not combustion though). So I'm back down to around 1:00 and it's working amazing. I have been using the Cloud+ a lot more recently, cause the last batch of stuff I had was not that good, maybe I worked it out good now  . I have no idea, I'm just bullshitting.

To get to the point, I'm high as hell, and I love my Cloud+.
