I didn't locate another arizer power adapter locally, but I used a laptop charger I had that fits with an output of 19v 3.42A and it did the same beeping number 4 screen.

The Arizer adapter says output of 19V 3500ma So I still need to try another power adapter right? The ones that are sold online cost about $40. Don't want to pay that only to still have a broken unit.

Honestly steven my heart goes out to you brotha man.

However, the option seems obvious save up the pennies and take them on the $130 deal. You already have all the other parts.

Brand new Vape with all UPDATED TECH for $130 its a steal. Imagine how long THIS one is going to last you.

(promise Im not a Arizer Rep; just really vaked on m Q now):leaf:

yeah, I'm going to replace it as my last resort. I still want to believe there is some hope lol. Also there is no rush. I have a few other vapes to hold me over. and BHO vapes

I don't know if I will go through Arizer though, they want about $160 after shipping and tax for the UNIT only without accessories. Ebay has a brand new Q with everything for $140 shipped. I'm probably going to go with that. Unless it is cheaper elsewhere.

My friend ordered from there with no problems, not sure if AromaTek themselves offer anything special or doesn't offer something that other sites do.

Aromatek is $170 though, Iv seen it cheaper on ebay. If ebay units dont come with warranty, then I can understand the aromatek being a decent price. $5 more at puffitup

Yeah that's why my buddy went with AromaTek at the time, there may be some on eBay with warranties now, but there wasn't when he ordered it. I feel sketchy sometime about eBay as well, even though I've totally ordered shit from there, haha.

Sorry, this may be an old question but how does Arizer provide warranty support for purchases not from authorized dealers? Are they still ok with it or did they put a stop to that?

I ask because, I have 2 Solos bought on ebay from non authorized dealers and Arizer still provided warranty replacement to me when I needed it. This was probably in 2011.

It can be had for $135-145 shipped on ebay non authorized dealer. pretty good deal especially if arizer will support warranty on it

Here is the email you receive upon registering your Arizer product for warranty (this is as recent as 04/03/2013):

Hello X,

Thank you for registering your warranty. We hope you enjoy your new purchase! If you ever require warranty service please contact the retailer where your unit was purchased. If your retailer is unwilling or unable to resolve a warranty issue for you, please contact me directly and I will either have a distributor in your area resolve your warranty claim or I will process a warranty claim for you.

You can find the warranty information in your Owner's Manual / Instructions booklet. Please note that glass parts and shipping costs are not covered under warranty. Also make sure you keep a copy of your sales receipt in a safe and memorable place. The warranty is limited so you may be asked to provide proof of purchase in order to receive warranty service. Warranty coverage is from the original date of purchase.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

Best Regards,
Kevin

So...I just got my tuff bowl and I let it heat up at 260 for a while. There is a smell coming from near the bottom of it. It's probably just heated silicone (didn't smell like burning at all) but I wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one.

I'm also having a hard time making the tuff bowl screen fit snug. It keeps moving when I hit it, which is making me nervous.

This is a rather easy fix.

Turn on your unit, place cyclone bowl on heater, turn temp up to 230,place screen at the top of cyclone bowl, wait 5 minutes, use whip and elbow to push the screen down(try to push the screen past the black into the clear part of your cyclone bowl evenly.), now since the hot air has been hitting the metal screen this whole time the screen becomes more flexible use the poker to poke the screen to the bottom (the pointy end). It should fit very snug enjoy!!:cheers:

I use my thumb/fingers to shape the screen into a dome. Push into cyclone sideways and then use glass stick to position on ledge, dome up. To remove, push out with stick from other end. Takes a few tries to get it shaped just right, but if will provide a snug fit and also better heat circulation because the dome lifts the herb.

I located another Arizer power supply to try with my failed extreme v3. Still no luck. so that is that.
Going to get another Extreme and keep the v3 in hopes that one day I can get it fixed somehow.

I Dont have the heart to throw it out. It was my first vaporizer and paraphernalia I have ever bought. Maybe I will befriend an engineer one day to locate the fault. I am pretty certain it is a very tiny problem of a disconnected wire, faulty diode or capacitor or something of that sort.

Yeah I'm sorry for your loss Steve. Your new unit will last you quite along time. I have dropped mine from 4 ft over 10 times and it still works great!

We should have an official R.I.P. thread, with posts like this with no comments allowed, like you would have to submit a RIP form to a mod who would then post them. For example:

Name of deceased: Arizer Extreme a.k.a. "Da Bomb"
Date of birth: Purchased new on 01-01-01
Date of death: 01-01-01
Cause of death: unknown
Epitaph: It was always there when I needed it, will be remembered as a workhorse. Leaving being a beloved and caring owner, Da Bomb will rest in peace.

j/k lol

Yes you do. I like the buzz I get from low temperatures. I rarely took my Extreme over 190°C. My MFLB PA is set to about 40% power, which is what I judge to be about 160-170°C with the technique that I use. I take short 3-5 second hits on the FVS2 for the same reason.
Do you get any clouds from this? I have tried vaping at low temps and I really want to like it. Its just I wont feel anything and I wont see any clouds for up to an hour of hitting the whip. Usually after about 30 minutes I get pissed and crank this thing up!

edit: I vape at 185*C, below that and the vapor production suffers. I don't get much flavor out of the EQ so going lower doesn't make sense for me.

Do you guys have any recommendations for glass that can be used without a whip? I'm looking at the infamous and the "Tube w/ long showerhead perc" (6th one down) on this page: http://glassblowersdirect.com/bubblers/
