I have a problem with my throat and the specialist gave me 10 years to live if i carried on smoking , so i gave up , so i now need to no about vapor , although my throat is abit better i still have a slight nag there. i no i should just give up but man thats well hard.
I have read thousands upon thousands on the net , but i need to dig deeper now , and do some tests in a lab if i can get the opportunity.

Your dismissal of CentiZen's effort to direct you to exactly what you asked for is bordering on being disrespectful. If you aren't willing to look at that list and read some of the material contained in it, then you are trolling and not really looking for facts about the claim your doctor made. If that's the case, I will close this thread.

yup no worries, i just read marijuana smoke contains 50-70% more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than tobacco smoke. , thats just smoke though but even so this amazed me

Take note that all this research is being done on smoked cannabis.

I think it was only around 40-50yrs ago that doctors were telling people to smoke cigarettes to aid in weight loss etc etc....now in this day and age we no that was wrong advice, but Dr's were telling their patients things like that....god, if alcohol had just been discovered I'm sure that, that would be well and truly banned...but it isn't and that has got to be well more dangerous than weed can ever be.

Also, many years ago cannabis was legal and easily accessed...and nothing ill thought of it....same as the urban myth that I'm sure was true of Coca being a main ingredient in Coca Cola...that was perfectly legal too and talked up by Dr's as a pick me up etc etc....now, how would you feel if your 5yr old kid was running about hyper due to drinking Coca Cola that had been given the o.k by the health officials.

Really, what I'm trying to say is - Dr's can be wrong sometimes and as times and fashions change certain things get re-analysed and re-assesed.

Maybe your Dr is just dead against cannabis for either personal or proffesional reasons and that is clouding his judgement and advice given.

I'm sorry - but what exactly did you mean about the people on this site. All everyone is trying to do is share our education on the subject from all different areas whether it be the net, doctors, books, etc...Unfortunately the only one really reacting with any angst is in fact you! Please read the stuff you were offered and take in to consideration that your doctor may be wrong. With that being said, I wouldn't take anything he prescribed until you can confirm that he didn't get his medical education online or in a 3rd world country where using a canoe is not for the row team but in fact the way to get to school.

I mean you no disrespect but you must at least be concerned that no one here is agreeing. And if there's one thing I can say about "us people on this site" - most of us are mature and fairly well educated. Potheads - but well educated.

Your doctor was almost certainly wrong. There is overwhelming evidence out there against the idea but you resisted whenever someone tried to point that out to you. FC is full of people concerned about cannabis and medical issues, and most of them have done quite a lot of research. When you post something like this and you are corrected on a grand scale, you should ask yourself whether you might have been misinformed and then do your own homework.

The reason your thread wasn't immediately shut down as trolling was to let that correction take place. Since it has and you don't care any more, this thread is over.
