With quality posting like this, who am I to disagree?

Actually no, I'm not just going to leave it at that. Explain to me how eating Cannabis 'gives' you cancer?

Fallacy: appeals to authority. He may be a doctor but that doesn't mean he's in anyway right.

The only known carcinogen is benzene I believe and that's only present at certain temperatures.
And a drug rehabilitation center that specializes in cannabis, what country are you in?

Ok im only trying to help but i knew these are the sort of reactions i'd get. Good luck

It's just that we know better. Doctor's have been brainwashed to believe cannabis is a devil drug too, and that prescription drugs are the answer for everything. You should really go do more research. I have, and have been doing so for YEARS. Good luck to you. :)

willie nelson and snoop dog are so full of cancer.. if they aren't they're full of shit.;) JK

sounds like a scare tactic to me.. i heard a dr. say something like that to me before and he also had no real reason to back it.. he said because its drugs and drugs are bad.. this happened last month hah . the other DR.s there were impressed i vaped and pretty interested in it.. i have never met a dr. that says anything against herb and actually knows anything about it.. i have my own mind.. and i have used herb half my life and i feel fine.. i'm more worried about all the plastics and preservatives in our lives.. i wish a dr would tell me for a fact if those are dangerous so i could make up my mind;) .. between smoking and vaping, vaping is the lesser evil no doubt.. i don't feel any thing but great from it. sorry i'm not a dr., i'm just no stranger to herb.

Yes the truth will set you free! Doctor's don't prescribe cures, they prescribe sustainable income for the pharmaceutical companies. Unless your doctor is prescribing you medical marijuana that is. :p

Except you're not helping. This is a lie that flies in the face of all the evidence that points to the contrary of your "doctor's" claim. Are you going to just take the word of one man/woman as truth when they didn't even explain their reasoning?

Please refrain from spreading misinformation. That will/does do more harm than cannabis could ever hope to.

sorry.. its just i expect people to have minds of their own.. and not be so easily convinced out of the blue all of a sudden. i'm assuming he really proved his point to you in a very factual way if you are firmly backing his statement.. it's gonna take no less than that around here too. people aren't just trying to believe anything, they want proof

First of all, if what your trying to do is to help, your doing a pretty terrible job of going about it.

Secondly - the only information you have that corroborates your claims is completely anecdotal evidence from someone who you claim is a doctor.

Now where I have a problem with this is that you seem to think that being a doctor immediately gives you an infallible encyclopaedic knowledge of everything related to anything regarding health and the human body. I have no doubt your doctor told you weed is carcinogenic. Just like when London was rife with Cholera, the doctors told people that it was caused by bad smells; and they believed it - because they are the doctors, right?

Nope, poison water. Who'd have thought? Actually quite a lot of people - most of whom had their images and livelihoods ruined by aggressive doctors who didn't want to be proved wrong.

The medical system is not based upon making you feel better. It's based off of making as much money, as fast as possible. Which means they want you to ignore the cheap, natural cures that solve many of the issues you will face in life and take their value added services instead. People are curing cancer with cannabis, not the other way around. And that is why your doctor is looking you in the eyes and telling you an un-truth, because it's his bottom line at stake. There is so much evidence that you are simply ignoring in the face of a simple, singular answer from one doctor.

And don't expect anyone to have the right answer, one way or another. Part of the way adult life works is that your supposed to survey the evidence yourself and make an educated decision based on the fact. If there was an right answer, then society would know it by now, no? Wouldn't marijuana already be widely considered just as bad as cigarettes if the medical industry could prove it's harm?

Now if you can show me some good evidence support your claims (i.e. not anectdotal) then I will listen. I will take you seriously. Until then, you just keep doing what your doing and see if that has the effect you intended.

Every fully qualified doctor i have spoken to, yes i listen to them , what may i ask are your credentials?
but obviously i am not 100% sure or i wouldn't be on here . it's a bit like god , i no for a fact there isnt 1 and never was and jesus was lied about (walk on water my arse) but how do you prove it. no matter what you say the god believers will not listen . i need proof that these claims people make about vaporising

The burden of proof should be on those making the claim, in this case that marijuana is carcinogenic. So that must be why they give carcinogenic compounds to CANCER patients right? How can you make that claim about god(which I agree with) and then just blindly follow something else?

End of discussion because your doctor told you?

I have a suggestion that I believe will not only be valuable to you, but to the community that you are addressing as well. Ask your doctor to submit to you some clinical studies that proves that eating cannabis is carcinogenic.

Yes, he's a doctor, but being a doctor does not insulate him from being human and all of the mistakes that humans can make, for he may be just as gullible as you when someone possibly told him the same thing he told you. Ask him for some links to some studies to back up his claim and tell him that the reason you are asking is not because you don't believe him, but rather that you are interested in the methodology of how these studies were done.

Until you do this, you will have an impossible task to get anyone here to believe what you are saying, for we are an inquisitive lot........................thank God.

AGAIN, why should the people that didn't make this ridiculous claim have to prove to you why you(the person that made this claim) is wrong? YOU should prove to us, why we're wrong. And it's called Google... You didn't have someone do you're homework for you in school did you? Yeah, nothing changed.

I think a "doctor" so willing to heed the word of others, and to further disseminate that word, without having done their own research, doesn't belong in the medical practice.

Was this so-called doctor a lung specialist?

See this makes sense to me: Cooking food at high temperatures, for example grilling or barbecuing meats, can lead to the formation of minute quantities of many potent carcinogens that are comparable to those found in cigarette smoke (i.e., benzo[a]pyrene).[6] Charring of food resembles coking and tobacco pyrolysis, and produces similar carcinogens.

But orally consuming plant material which has been proven to reduce the growth of cancer cells being carcinogenic makes no sense..
