I know that shop, they are from Germany, i bought my Vaporbrothers there. They also make exclusive parts for all sorts of vapes but they are not cheap :|

I know they are one of the few that distribute a lot of vapes from the USA in Europe like Vaporbrothers, vriptech .......

A coffeeshop in Amsterdam has a nice Custom Volcano from them.

I know they paint original housings from Storz & Bickel and before shipping back they get a double check
by Storz & Bickel :o:o As far as i know they even can do this with your own volcano without loosing the
warranty.

I also have my custom Volcano from there i will post some pics later ;)

Around how much does it cost to have the painting done? Do you send in the whole thing or can you just send in the cover?

The price was also insane when gotvape was selling the Green Volcano Classic, something like $800-900, that is like $300-400 for just anodizing a cover, same goes for the gold plated one a while back. You could anodize yourself for a few bucks, I can get a cheap paint job for a car for $400 or less, why it is like they feel like they need to get rich from each custom.

I agree, the volcano is the dog bollocks, unbeatable.

It also pays for itself within a few months to a year & you also get to taste the full palate of your herb

I've accidently left mine switched on at 230c (digital) for a few hours and never had any issues with it at all, so its very reliable aswell, im not sure why i've seen people saying the digital less reliable than the classic.

The only problem i have is the accessories are SO expensive, if you want a spare chamber & mouthpiece to use to vaporize a different substance that wouldnt mix well with herb taste, your looking at least 100, i almost bought a second hand volcano just for the accessories because they are so damned expensive brand new

Classic avatar by the way Clarksons a legend!

Well they made me a nice price for the black one and it is a beauty :p well imho

Prices like gotvape are crazy. I mailed vapestation and they told me they are going to open a online shop begin 2011.

For now they only sell by request to new customers. But they are known in the scene

They mainly do wholesale untill 2011.

Here are some pictures from my unit:

That is awesome spikyvape, it looks killer in black.
Something so simple as a color change can really make the unity look up to date. Which I think it needed since there are so many vaporizers coming on the market with cool new shapes and though the Volcano is built like a tank, I think it needed something to keep it modern.

I think what it comes down to is that if I could afford it, I would buy a Volcano and nerd out over how awesome, the high quality construction, whatever. As it stands though, I'm a poor undergrad student who is likely to morph into a poor graduate student, and then a poor unemployed guy with an MA. I could get an Extreme-Q or Herbalaire and enough green to last me a few months, and the quality of the experience wouldn't be all that diminished. Obviously people have different opinions based on the whip/bag issue, just wanting something that works, etc., and that's cool too. I don't think anybody on here can make absolute statements that everyone should choose one or the other. We've all got our choices.

I'm cleaning and packing up my Volcano. I'm not sure if it's going to stay in my closet for special occasions or if I'm going to try and trade it away, especially if I could get a Purple Days for it.

Today I just received a practically brand-new Magic Flight Launch Box that I purchased second-hand from a rather nice member of this forum, Pappy, who promptly shipped it. I've only spent maybe an hour with it so far and a fully charged battery and I know it's exactly what I'm looking for in a vape. It is simple, it is compact, it is fast and it packs a serious punch. I'm almost spooked how much faster this little box has brought me to my plateau than the Volcano.

Sometimes I host gatherings and this is where I thought the Volcano would thrive. But in retrospect, I could buy almost six Launch Boxes for what I spent on my Volcano Classic. Sure, the Launch Box doesn't look very special or 'neat' as my Volcano... but I'd rather personally pack and hand out five Launch Boxes to friends and have a rad space-age looking charger station -- and be *positive* they are getting the most out of a bowl than the sometimes disappointing bags.

No one will complain about this trade-off.

I'm sorry if this might seem like I hate the Volcano and I came here to kick it. I don't. It's certainly much better than smoking, but it's loud and too slow to operate. Efficiency isn't really there, though no bag vape will ever be efficient. I'm not familiar with other bag vapes to tell you if it's the best, but I wouldn't be surprised if (cost aside) it turned out to be. I just don't want a bag vape.

Anyway, I hope this post is useful to someone.

That just happened...
A launchbox is fine in a pinch but you can't compare it to a Volcano. I'm in a band. When we take a break with the Volcano we are back to the music in 10 minutes. With the Da Buddha it took an hour. I can't even imaging the 3 of us sharing a launchbox. It's a great solo piece but you can't compare it to a Volcano. They are so different.

At the end of a day I always empty my spent mflb trench into my volcano bowl and get one last bag. I could never do it the other way around and get one last trench from some spent volcano herb. There is nothing left.

I beg to differ, in as much as the temp that you vape with has a lot
to do with the condition of your AVB.
For super stealth I vape at low temps just to remove the
smell and the AVB is a light brown.
Then I regrind and use it in the LB anywhere I want as the
odor is gone but the thc is still there. The LB can vape until
the herb is black ! I do not go that far but my stealth AVB is
potent and quiet! :2c: :peace: :ninja:
I agree that the volcano is best for your band sessions or
any group event. It is a very good vape.

Elmonuz, i m doing exactly the opposite, vaping abv from the cano in the LB coz I find the LB can go higher in temps.
Maybe my 7 years old cano dont heat as much as the new ones but I doubt....

Ah, but I didn't say sharing a single Launch Box though -- and I don't imagine I'd even bother trying to share one, more like three or so. I'd rather hand those out lightly loaded than deal with the fuss of the Volcano. But yes, since I own both, I can directly compare the two. This isn't some poor kid justifying on why not to buy one. This is someone who already owns a Volcano Classic and says it isn't up to par for their own needs after owning one for a while.

The Volcano's initial heat-up time, the delays if you bother to wait for it to heat back up to the desired temp, the noise of the fan and of the bags (even if you switch to Reynolds, they get kinda sticky and loud), the waste if you don't clear a bag within a certain time frame (cold bags of stale-tasting vapor suck) -- I don't have to deal with any of this with the Launch Box. I put the battery in and put my lips on the box and then it's a done deal. The only minus of the Launch Box is taste and I suspect the Purple Days will pick up where the Launch Box left off there if the reviews are anything to go by.

I've only had the Launch Box a day and a half, but it's been pretty solidly used to the point where I'm certainly going to need a dedicated battery charger station to keep up with me. But so far, this thing is far more efficient and I got blasted faster and even a smidge harder than the Volcano has been bringing me with daily use. I've never seen ABV this green come out of my Volcano.

I'm sure I could run that ABV through the Volcano at 8.5 or so and crush what's left but I'm actually starting to think that I'd rather find other uses for it.

Anyway, that's my own perspective. You have your own use cases, elmomuzz -- and I won't tell you that you don't know them best.

EDIT: Fistfuls of salt are probably warranted because I've only had this for less than 48 hours, I'll admit. Plus I'm a mysterious new lurker person. Tomorrow I'm going to do a trial run on handing the single Launch Box I have to my test subj--er friends and see what their opinions are. These friends are novices so I'm not sure if I will manage to get them to operate both the Volcano and the Launch Box before they've had their fill.

That just happened...
I own all three (PD, Volcano digi, MFLB). :) I think they all are very good and would satisfy anyone if they figure out how to use them.

I go out to bars a lot and am frequently sharing my lb with bar friends in the parking lot. They all love it.

But for me the Volcano is vaporfection. :D

Yeah, I know a lot of people like the 'Cano, but for me, vapes that use a bag for a delivery system just has an air to vapor ratio that is a bit too high and the vapor is a bit diluted ie, too much air. Also, the thing I hate about bag vapes is that there were times when I just had enough and didn't want to finish the bag, so that was a bit of waste.

But man, as a party vape, being that it takes all of the user error out of the equation, they can't be beat.
