The Pinnacle by Vaporblunt

I think JK may have a defective unit. I tend to be a bit of a "cloud chaser" and my daily driver is a UD. My Pinnacle (with the regular mouthpiece and no water tool) doesn't produce those kind of clouds, but it gets me medicated. The Pinnacle can be made to produce some impressive visible vapor, but there is a small bit of a learning curve.

Obviously, start out with very dry, very finely ground herb. I fill the bullet 3/4 of the way to the top and tamp it down. The herb does have a tendency to rise up against the mouthpiece screen (haven't tried the screen idea in the bullet yet, but I like it) I always wait at least a minute after the light indicates ready. Starting the Pinnacle on high will also speed cloud production.

The XP was initially my first choice for my "on the go" portable, but it seemed like the bugs were still being worked out. Once they are, I'll definitely get the XP as well. For now, I'm happy with my Pinnacle because it gets me medicated...not as fast as my UD, but it creeps up on me. I don't know how it compares to the XP in efficiency, but the Pinnacle uses an insanely small amount of herb to get you there. It's at least as miserly as my UD (a log vape) with my herb...maybe more so.

I have been quietly lurking in this thread which lead me 2 actually purchasing this vape. Have had it for 2 days now and im slowly getting the hang of it. Read thru a large portion of the posts and didn't see much about the issue that im having. I know alot of u guys are using the water tool but for those that are not. Are u guys having any issues with the mouthpiece getting 2 hot. I def can't make it until this machine automatically shuts off because the mouthpiece gets 2 hot and i have 2 shut it off.

Crohnie, has issues with the heat so he uses the included tip. Do not use the flavored ones they melt.

I have no issue with the heat at all and can barely even feel it getting warm unless I move my lips down the mouthpiece to where it gets big and even then it is warm but can leave my lips there with no issue. I guess some are more sensitive then others.

@Crohnie...please share your technique cause I get no visible for the most part with the reg mp.

im actually using the tip. This is whats getting hot. I just switched over to the flavored tip. Glad u informed me of them melting b4 i actually tried it. Hopefully someone has a solution 2 curve the heat on the mouthpiece. Other than that i am really enjoying this unit.

I've stopped using the tip with the regular mouth piece ...I think I was just being too sensitive. Dreamer, other than what I pointed out in my previous post, long, slow breaths and try to tamp down your herb occasionally. My breath control pays the bills, so I have a big advantage there. Think long, slow, deep, yoga breaths. As "darth vaper" on youtube has shown, you can get good cloud production from the Pinnacle with practice.

EDIT: If you do use the "tip", DO NOT push it in too hard in the mouthpiece. It may become difficult to remove, or even become stuck because of resin.

Are you getting medicated though??
I think SliM made it pretty clear, and I agree, that this vape generally will please but high temperature medical users need not apply. It just doesn't rock the body, so I guess it depends on your definition of "medicated" and what you are medicating for.

Quite true, tdub. I have Crohn's Disease and I find that the Pinnacle medicates me nicely for my particular needs.

Exactly t-dub. I don't find high heat, besides from not liking the hot, medicates me any better. I don't see a difference in relief of my symptoms between low and high. High is suppose to be for pain but nothing can help my pain so I just ignore that. The rest of my stuff it works well. Vaping in general doesn't work on my spasms at all or very little. When I smoked I just needed on hit of a joint and my spasms subsided. I had bad bladder spasms yesterday and today and was hoping vaping would help since I don't normally pay attention to that either. I am sad to say it didn't help enough and yes I even tried high cause I was in such distress.

I had said from the get go that this vape wouldn't satisfy slim. We have many vapes cause we all need different things and find different things important like cloud productions for some.

has anyone tries super small loads, maybe half a magic flight trench? My fingers have been itching for a new toy and this this has been taking over my radar.

The mp getting too hot may be a sign that you're drawing too hard/long. Maybe try a slower draw?

True dat :) Don't get me wrong guys, I still like this little vape and stand by my initial impressions. We have had some settling in issues for sure, we will see how they resolve if at all, and those will be reflected in my forthcoming long term update. Has the Pinnacle been a mini VapeXhale Cloud? Kind of yes and kind of no. Is it going to end my portable search? No, but the Pinnacle has provided a nice (KISS) experience so far that I appreciate, and it does work. The water tool is still cool . . .

ok so i was absolutely going to purchase this vape tomorrow, but now it seems the tides have changed. At first the reviews were pretty positive and it seemed to be a great portable. Now the problems have arrived and idk what to think now. I have never used a vaporizer before but i really want one... i thought this would be the one but now im not sure if i want this or the xp

Oh as a first vape I am not sure if this is the one. I absolutely stand by my review as well and love this vape. Yes I will bitch about things that I would want like a way shorter heating time but all in all if filled a real need that no other vape has till this point. Growing pains will happen with any vape whether it will be issues with the product, the new fun effect, or the person just fully learning it to the positive or the negative at that point.

i was strongly considering this as my first vape because it fit pretty well with my needs of portability and stealth, maybe i should consider the xp?

I think Pinnacle has those 2 fronts covered well. I would carefully read the XP thread before purchasing anything from Pharmacor, they recently had to shut down production because of QC issues . . .

I think this is a great vape for those new to vapor unless they are medicinal and already know they want a high temp experience. It's extremely easy to use and produces the expected results at the temps being generated. I can think of a ton of vapes that are difficult to use and turn noobs off, but this isn't one of them.

thats what made me look away from the xp in the first place. Another thing is smell, i read that the pinnacle leaves behind hardly any smell.

Is there anything in particularthat wouldn’t be good for a first vape?

The only reason why I said it wouldn't be a good first vape is because you are used to smoking. I do agree with tdub and sticks about ease of use, but you may run into the same issues like slim does even though he has been vaping for a long time. I am not sure all you can do is try. I do find it has the least smell out of my portable arsenal and some I have been around. Even if this vape doesn't make you quit combustion you will see the pluses in using a vape and will eventually quit.

I quit using the INH and regular used the MFLB and DV before that vape when out but only smoked at home never vaped. It is a very personal journey. Good luck and welcome to the forum if I didn't say that yet.

After charging for a few hours I've found the vapor has much improved! I would now say that the orange setting on this is similar to the Pax on yellow, the Pinnacle is certainly a viable choice for low tolerance users!

To be honest, I may not be a "high temp" medicater but I certainly am a high tolerance one, and the PN just take a bit too long to deliver the goods for my needs.

The glass tube, however, is simply perfect, truly a brilliant piece:

Have you tried without the WT? I was just wondering what difference you felt as far as being medicated. I don't think I like the effects I get with water. Besides for it being a PITA to me I am not sure I like what it does to me either. I find I get more medicated without water.

Oh definitely, I can't feel the vapor and it's thinner with the tube, I have been using the Pinnacle straight for my recent successes.

The tube is actually better on more powerful vapes, it completely mellows out the harshness from the Pax for example

Yes, I have used it on the solo and got monster hits I just like it without water better. I hope you find success with this cute little thing. I still think if they fix the xp get it you will like it since you aren't a taste whore or at least I don't think you are. If the xp doesn't get worked out the 04 is still a great choice. Maybe the ascent will pan out but we have a month till it comes out then whoever gets it first to pick it apart.

good news, t-dub.

jka...glad to see you got things rolling. i figured it was either a bunk unit or you would test it until you figured it out.

one reason i think this is a good noob vape is that vapor noobs don't have that vapor tolerance up yet. the low temp vapor effects seem to always impress vapor noobs. ime, it takes a while to get that tolerance way up there.
