Something sounds off, when in the dark your LL core should be really glowing within 10-15 seconds, i can see mine glow through the side of the cart. Sounds kind of like the problem sonics420 was having, i would contact TET. I get visible vapor off my first pull everytime, i have never done any test puffs. I prewarm the cart for about 30 seconds, load the herb and let it chill for maybe 20-30 seconds then start with a slow steady inhale. I think their is something wrong, you shouldn't be working that hard for it.

Core glows after 15-20 seconds.
I have done that precise procedure, and I've tried draws 30-45 seconds long (low-medium drawspeed) and still no luck :\

Tested:
  • Both slow and fast inhales with short and long wait in between these inhales.

  • Both leaf-material and concentrate. The leaf material didn't even slightly brown, the concentrate (bubble) just softened slightly.
The Cera gets very hot to the touch, but vapour production is still minimal.

What could be going on?

When I had this problem and tried to experiment and do everything I can to get vapor I ended up sending my core in and it was determined to be out of spec.. They fixed it and sent it back and now I get visible vapor easy.. Now I am getting clouds..

Just something to keep in mind if all else fails.

Cheers. Searched for your posts and it seems similar. Is the switch supposed to get hot at all? Cause My switch is getting hot and the mouthpiece is VERY hot for several minutes just like you described.

Sounds exactly like my problem, you should contact TV. The switch isnt supposed to get hot, the MP usually gets too hot for me after 2-3 back to back sessions.

They said my conduction strip was out of spec also when the body/switch got warm. Now that its fixed I can use my Cera for hours without getting burnt.

Thank you for your help in troubleshooting! I've mailed them now and hopefully will be able to get a functioning unit in not too long!

sooo, i was gonna wait until tomorrow, but i got impatient

thanks to a little help from our favorite and frequent assistance specialist (you know i'm talking about OF) i, too am living in the land of CERA. i went titanium oil cart (part of the reason i couldn't justify getting another battery handle), mostly 'cuz i got a bender and my tolerance needs such volumes. i have been chomping at the bit to test this sucker and now i have. can i say wow! just beats out dual carting darts. this thing is dangerous!

Go for it, Big Guy! I'm most interested in your experiences (of course....). I think you're right, Cera does take some watching, something like the Marines (Best friend/worst enemy)?

One thing sure that sawed off Persei with the adapter and Cera cart looks like pure business. Between the black tube, chrome body, brass adapter and Titanium Cera all you need is an Ivory MP. That's the vape you expect Seal Team 6 to carry...... Maybe we can get Safariland or someone to make a ballistic nylon holster for it?

Okay so this might come off mean or disrespectful but that is not my intent. I would add "no offense" but we all no that really means "im specifically trying to offend you but im gonna add two words so it seems like im not"

But anyway, the homemade adapter makes it look like a piece of junk imo. I know its progress, but just not for me

I think thermovape should come out with a new top part to the ultra so that it can screw in and look like it belongs.(remove how it tapers into a point and just make it flat and adaptable to the cera) In my mind im thinking it would look something like the AVA Res chambers. But then again that might be more along the lines of the cera mini they may or may not be working on

this is NOT a TV supplied suggested part. it is a mod, as nether i nor the maker of this mod have access nor resources to properly machine a slick looking adapter. all that matters (to me, the user) is that it works. it's also a little crooked. couldn't give a fuck. there will be such things in the future, but for now, i'm damn glad to have it.

edit, and i happen to like it's frankenstein look, but that's just me. and no offense taken as i couldn't take offense to something that isn't offense. you are expressing an aesthetic opinion.

Here is a pic of the little plastic grommet I spoke of earlier in my last post. Super comfy now just resting on the inside pinky finger. I'm a righty and I can even hold it in my left without a problem. There is a slight adhesive on it but it wipes right off and for some reason this little plastic Cera-Tunnel-Syndrome saver will stay put with just a lick and stick. I love the Cera as is without any extreme mods (I love the mods I've seen though in the forum) I just think TET made it like that for a reason. AWESOME!

Bob, how would you say the EO cart performs in comparison to the Hercules 7.4v as far as hit size, taste, etc?

If i'm using the LL cart, and theres oil on the cap under the mouthpiece from when I was using the EO cart, is that a problem? Would that throw anything off in the LL cart?

Also... how would you know if the EO cart is kicked? I put in .5 grams initially then .25 more later. About how many hits or "sessions" could you expect to get out of .5 grams? I'm just excited to try other concentrates and would like to avoid mixing them as much as possible... but im guessing thats pretty hard to do?

i don't have the repaired one to compare it to so it's unfair to compare at this point. that said, i'd say taste is on par (oil at that temp tastes just like that, hot oil) being both ceramic and metal, but the density and hit size of the EO wins on that front. can't wait to do a fair side to side.

Same boat, I too am interested in the average hit count with say .5 grams loaded. I am sure it is hard to pinpoint, as many users take different sized hits and techniques.

On another note, I put some full melt in that probably wasn't the greatest quality in the EO cart. I can dab the stuff, but usually wipe a minute amount residue off of the nail. It seemed to soak into the ceramic sponge, but I am worried it clogged it up as I put some earwax in afterwards and haven't been getting much. I ensured that the battery was fully charged. The core is getting hot too, but not enough to cause discomfort.

Should I soak it in ISO? What is the usual cleaning schedule of everyone else?

Nice work Bob, mine looks eerily similar. Did it a few weeks ago, but only had .4 to run through there. As far as I can tell, EO is a friggin FOG MaChine, and is not to be taken lightly. I just don't know if I should put on my magic hat, or wait for something to fall in my lap to further test this beast.
Edit: that brass nut was tough to find... Fastenal FTW

BoB and of, id love to know how i can do that to my persei, what size brass nut would i need and what other adapter is under the brass nut??? i might just order another EO cart and run it on my persei also!!!????

Does anybody know what the resistance of the Cera body should be? That's with no cart, switch or battery installed.
I think my conductive strip may have a poor connection.

My understanding is that it's a 3/8" threading. I'm not 100% and maybe OF, Bob or someone can clarify, but I think to improve appearance the hex nut could be replaced with an brass access cap like the one in the picture below. The small cap on the right. Or there are ones that already have a 1/4" hole drilled for tubing.

Just need to drill end out to fit whatever connector you like. 510, etc.
I imagine you could find in chrome as well.
