Seems like 12:00 or 1:00 position might be good for me. I have to pay better attention to that aspect.

I need some little padded storage bags for the extra glass pieces.
You will get used to controlling the temp thru the speed of your draw too. I hardly ever adjust my temp anymore I just crank it up and leave it there all day.

Moving away from the Vapolution 2.0?
The VAPOLUTION is my only plug_in. (FLAVOR)!
It does work really well and I'm starting to use it more lately.

Since my collection is mostly portables and I'm super happy with my collection.
I do not plan to change these devices.

However I've been doing a bit of research on the SLIVER SURFER and the other Device that the same company makes. For the Value of these Vapes makes it hard for me not to have one.
My next vaporizer will be the SSV.

I'm envious of you people that have them in their arsenals!

Puffer, I'm seeing that. I'm so used to slow draws from MFLB and PAX. I like the horsepower.

That is why I started my heat at 11 when I first got it cause I was used to that as well. I only went to 12 cause I don't like that really fast draws.

Part of what makes the ssv so great is how adaptable it is. My favorite feature about the ssv is that I can turn it way up, take fast draws, and get dense vapor on demand.

That is correct...it is what I love as well but newbies to it must learn all things must be in balance. Fast draw higher heat, slow draw lower heat. Length of draw goes in there as well. I find the ssv very forgiving as well.

I like the idea of thick vapor on demand, so I'll work on my draw speed.

Where are protective glass items sold? I have glass rolling around

The Silver Surfer is a fine vaporizer! Looks like a work of modern art! I have an extreme Q which I love, but the clouds leave much to be desired.

A factor I consider important since the purchase of my first glass(its all I smoke out of now). My dream setup is the Steele Concept w/ inline AC and that pimped out rasta lookin ssv.

As an ex-EQ user, I know exactly what your saying. I heavily modded my EQ and was finally happy with the clouds, but wasn't happy about the preheat times, burning myself on the cyclone bowl, and the amount of medicine it took to make the cyclone bowl efficient.

With the SSV I just turn the heater on to desired temp (or leave it on all day), wait 3-5 minutes, and start drawing clouds. And with my EQ elbow screen shoved into my SSV wand, I can do big or small elbow packs still, but with the ability to stir it,

The only feature I miss about the EQ is when I had company we could circle around it, the elbow would swivel, and it was all hands free. Sometimes I get tired of being the vape tender, :p.

Hey guys, i'm doing vape research and if I decide to go for an at home vape this looks to be the one!

I'm a little confused about what all i'd need, so can you guys please outline everything I'd need to get started and what I might want to add on in the future? Also how does it fair if I want to vape half the load and do the other half later? Meaning does it waste any of the product?

The biggest accessory decision for me so far was getting a vapor tamer. So I bought a fattie. Other than that it comes with what you need. See the videos on Vito's site,

I bought the round ground glass. Seems to work pretty well.

So how does one do just a small amount of herb? Surely there's a tweak perfected already.

Willie put a couple of nails in the wall or wherever your ssv is and hang the glass and tube. I used to chuck it in a plastic container cause I never go around to the hanger. I never had it rolling around cause the tube was always connected. I used to chuck it on my bed as well with no issues.

I have used a small amount of herb no tweak needed. SSV produces and is forgiving.

Okey dokie- small amount of herb deposited. Vaped no problem. For some reason I thought this worked better with larger amounts. No so, as Dream says. I've been running this at ~2:00 and simply watching the vapor and inhaling faster. Most pleasurable vaping experience I've had. And the ability to plop a small amount in the bowl means it all tastes fresh and perfect. Purest taste. Very happy.

I bought direct and the order went in the mail same day. Came a day earlier than they promised, even with Easter. I'm very impressed with 7th Floor.

Yeah, I'm kinda annoyed. I placed my order on the 28th at 9 in the morning, and nothing since then other than the order confirmation. Will likely be trying a different retailer in the future.

Wow. That sucks. Considering how competitive this business is, it doesn't seem like there's room for such nonsense.

I just got an email back in response to my second email to them requesting an update. They replied with the following:

"Dear Valued Customer,

We are extremely sorry, but unfortunately there has been a mess up with our order system communicating with the warehouse's system. Orders from the 20th to the 27th were affected and will be shipped tomorrow by 1 pm.

Again we apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced.

Vapetropolis Sales Team."

I responded and thanked them for the update but politely requested them bump up shipping and throw in some goodies. I'll let you know how it goes.

Edit: Quick question to current SSV owners: Is the hands free attachment for the standard glass kit worth it? I can see it being nice to have the hands free on occasion when I have company, just not sure how well it works in practice.

I have not had mine for a week yet and I have never used it. I accidentally creased / bent it pretty good when I tried installing it as a test run.

I like to stir the bowl after each draw, because I like to fiddle with shit. So I would not replace it it if I lost it.

More meatloaf Ma!
I have a quick SSV hose cleaning tip thats worked well for me: Hot water and powdered cascade, swish around and let set a few hours... fades color hoses a bit but otherwise good as new! also I'm glad to see so many new SSV users on here lately.I must admit it has been the best $200 i have ever spent! Plus i am still learning new and better ways to use it a year in:myday:

I've been using 99% Iso. If I could get Everclear, I would use it, but not in my state. Either are a great solvent. Maybe later if the iso gets less effective I'll run the cascade.
